Love banzai bowl after a long hike or a beach day. Pretty cheap for lots of fruit. I always add granola and fruit on top. The only think that I don’t like you have to wait and wait and wait until your bowl is ready. So I always call in and pick it up after 25(+\-) min.

Always a stop when I come to the coast. Love the bowls, Dakine my current favorite. Been there twice this week alone. Only reason not 5 stars is that each time we’ve been, there has been no one available to take our order for at least 10 – 15 minutes, not because they are making something because no one else has been there at the same time and no one is visible in the back. Empty bowls sit on dirty tables. We’ve been going at 6 – 7 at night but we’ll keep going. The San Clemente location is definitely better on customer service and has way friendlier people.

I love the food here. I crave it all of the time and I’m always wanting to get Banzai(especially the Da Kine bowl.) But man, every single time I’ve been here, the customer service really sucks. The customers don’t care at all about anything and act like they are burdened by your arrival. They aren’t nice at all!!!

Love bonzai bowls but this place is just not consistent. Sometimes they’re good, sometimes they’re not so good. It really depends on who is there making them. They also don’t take american express??? Bizarre

Acai Bowl Hunter Finds a Good One My wife and I enjoyed acai bowls everyday while we were in Maui. When we went to California, we searched for something comparable. Banzai Bowls delivered and may have surpassed what we enjoyed in Hawaii. The atmosphere is less than desirable, but I like the large cup format and the selection. Get the Maui Sunrise… can you figure out why we chose that one. The employee actually said this is their new top seller.

This is a great place to come and grab a bite after a hike or just to catch up with friends! I come here probably once or twice a month and my favorite bowls to get are either the log cabins or the v-land. If you love pitaya like I do those are for sure the way to go! The bowls here are amazing! They are very rich in flavor and never disappoint. I highly recommend stopping by any of their locations if you ever get a chance! Although it’s a great place to visit there are a few downsides, one is that you have to wait about 20 – 30 min every time you visit for your bowl since they are always so busy but totally worth the wait in my opinion. Just make sure you have enough time to and you aren’t in a rush to be anywhere. Second is you can’t sub out toppings. Each topping you want to sub out is additionally $ 1.00. Third their customer service isn’t the best. The employees always look so frantic and are in such a hurry to take your order they never smile or ask you how your day is going. Overall the food is great and I am a constant returning customer but there’s just a few things they could work on.

Great staff(didn’t catch her name) but she was very helpful and nice. Smoothie and bowl both tasted great!

For some reason lately, they aren’t serving Banzai Bowls in bowls, but instead to-go plastic cups. The servings seem significantly smaller, and for $ 6, it isn’t worth it anymore. Employees use to be a lot more cheery and friendly, but now they avoid eye contact and rarely smile. Maybe this one is under new management, I don’t know.

i used to live in hawaii and always had acai bowls there and could never find the equivalent acai bowl in california until i found this place! Their acai bowls are the best and taste just like the ones i used to have back in hawaii! I definitely recommend this place!

Best acai bowl. The Maui sunrise or the dakine are by far my favorites. Go on a rainy day and you get free tea. This place is the best restaurant to get lunch then go walk around the beach. Used to get it before college rtrack meets and always had so much energy and was never disappointed

Came here for an acai bowl after a hike. Totally hit the spot. The prices are good and the portions are huge. They definitely don’t skim on the quality of their toppings. I got the Sharks cove and loved the gogi berries. The toppings were just right for the portion of the acai. I hate it when I run out of toppings and get a whole cup of melted acai. They also layer the bottom of the bowl with granola so it doesn’t just become mush at the end. Loved the the granola. Will definitely come back again. The only thing is, it does take them some time to put the bowls together, so you can’t just run in and run out if you’re in a hurry.

Pretty good quality acai at a decent price. Loved taking the bowl to go and eating it down at the rocks along the shore.

No doubt that the bowls here are good. However, my fiancé and I had to wait 40 mins for our bowls to be served to us. Not only true for us, but for the other customers who are here on a Saturday morning too. Plus, customer service was horrendously rude. So maybe avoid Saturday mornings? Or any other mornings? Not too sure but prepare to wait for a simple bowl, like you would for a really expensive fillet mignon elsewhere. Wait, maybe a fillet mignon might be quicker to prep and be made.

If you have never been here, you better come today! Literally my favorite acai around, and trust me I’ve been to every acai place there is. You can expect to wait a while for your order, but it is definitely worth it, and proves how good it is for the amount of people here all the time!!! I always get the classic OG Bowl with hemp milk blend. They come out picture worthy, filled to the brim, and tasting amazing every time. You need to stop by as soon as possible.

Got the Banzai Bowl and had them add Peanut Butter to it — delish! I’m hard to please when it comes to Acai Bowls now that I’ve had the best ones in Hawaiia, so whenever I get it here in CA it’s never as good when I compare. But, the peanut butter-infused bowl that I ordered was very good. There’s plenty of seating inside, but I wish they had outside seating set up. We brought our pup and they were cool enough to let us bring some chairs outside to sit on, but chairs should have already been set up outside for people to enjoy the awesome weather and for people with pets. People may feel that their prices are a little high, but for the size of the bowl and for all the fruit and ingredients that are in the bowl, I feel that it was worth it. I would like to see them use flatter bowls(like the ones they use at yogurt places) instead of the tall«Slurpee-like» cups. It is tough to maneuver around the cups, especially when you’re getting down to the bottom of it.

Banzai Bowls is hands down the best acai bowls out there! I have been to a lot of different places, but the flavors and qualities here are just top notch. I had to wait in a little line when first getting there, but it went quick. It took about 10 – 15 minutes to get my bowl after I ordered it. TIP order it to stay… You get more! It’s a way bigger portion. It is a little pricy, but I strongly think it is worth it. I love the granola, honey, and the fresh fruit. They don’t skimp on the toppings like some places. Depending on the day, service is better than others. There aren’t a ton of places to sit inside, and I didn’t notice a bathroom. It’s located a bit down from the main beach, but it isn’t too bad of a walk. Overall I definitely recommend this place for a healthy refreshing treat! You won’t be disappointed

Pros: –AMAZING taste! I ordered the OG Banzai Bowl which included hemp milk, acai, banana, granola, blueberries, strawberries and honey. YUM! –Nice surfer vibe –Inexpensive for the amount/quality you get –Located right on PCH making it an easy stop for trolley riders Cons: –Closes fairly early –Not always the friendliest staff(hit or miss) –I’ve found you actually have to make a point of asking for your acai bowl in a real bowl. In my mind, you shouldn’t have to fight that hard for it. When I finally asked a worker after going twice why I was being served my acai bowl in a plastic cup instead of a bowl, she told me it was because I ordered it to-go, when in fact both times I ordered it for-there. When I mentioned this to her, she dismissed it and gave another excuse that they were closing soon. Not a good enough explanation in my book.

Honestly, I was not vey impressed. Ive heard a lot of really great reviews and comments about Banzai Bowls, so I decided to see what the hype was about, and it did not perform well. I did not see anything special about the bowls here. For a cheaper price, I could buy ingredients, blend them together, and it could possibly taste better. I understand that its a cool concept, I personally was not impressed.

Been going to Banzai Bowls forever, but am very dissappointed after my most recent visit. It was not a busy day(Monday) and I had to wait an entire 20 minutes for my order. I don’t know what was going on in the back, but it does not make sense to wait that long. Also, i asked to split toppings on my Da Kine to include strawberries and bananas. They said this would be a $ 1 up-charge and that was no problem. When my bowl was ready(after 20 or so minutes) there was only a couple strawberry slices added. Its just ridiculous to charge extra if you are going to skim on toppings. Probably wont return to this location.

Yum! Best acai bowls! It is the original banzai bowl joint and well worth the visit to Laguna Beach. The ingredients are so fresh and there are a variety of options for bowls. Get the small, it’s super filling for one person! The staff was also very friendly and the wait time on each bowl wasn’t bad!
