Great beach, great dive site! Kindof pricey on the parking… If anyone finds a gopro with footage of me carving a pumpkin on it… please contact me!

My own private beach. This is definitely one of the easiest beaches to get to from PCH. It’s mainly known to locals or those in the know(like myself, I have connections.) There is metered parking ALL around for $ 2.50 an hour, which is ridiculous. However, it’s easy to find parking in the neighborhood or across PCH, which is just a short walk. I’d go with that option. I spent a good six hours here with my girlfriend, and all we did was chat with some locals, the ever-so-friendly lifeguard, and lay in the soft sand. The waves are SO blue in Laguna so, of course, the view is not a problem. I got to see some wildlife! The water was shallow and clear enough to see a leopard shark and little fish. I even saw dolphins a bit further off shore. It was my first time visiting Diver’s, and I’m glad I did. It’s small, secluded and not too busy, just the way I like my beach days. I’m hesitant to write this review though… Wanna keep this place on the dl as much as possible. Will visit again soon before summer is over!

It’s small and parking is metered and pricey at $ 2.50/hour, four hours max. There are nearby bathrooms and other little beaches, but, as the name implies, this on attracts divers with its rocky terrain and abundant plant life. We came to snorkel and didn’t see any fish, but did see a whale off in the distance.

I’ve been to this beach before as beach enthusiast, but never thought I would be diving here! This past weekend, our Open Water class went out to do our last ocean dive. We met up at 7am, bright and early before all the paddleboarders and surfers were out. Snagged a good parking spot right in front of Divers Cove for $ 2.25/hour on the meter(they take credit cards). Our instructors gave us a heads up that Laguna Beach are sticklers for leaving gear on the sidewalk and such, so make sure you leave it close to your car or setup where it isn’t a pedestrian walkway. Once setting up our gear, the hard part is going down(and up!) the flight of stairs. Slippery and sandy, so make sure you use the handrails. I am a novice when it comes to diving and I was getting tested for my OW skills, so obviously, I was a bit nervous. This beach is a good place for beginner divers because of the shallowness of the ocean(about 15−30ft) and the calmness of the shore/waves. However, to the contrary, I did get caught in a wave, tumbled around and lost my mask and fins the first time in! Guess I didn’t lean in sideways enough when the wave was coming! However, once I got in and swam away from shore, it did calm down quite a bit. Visibility was quite low that day unfortunately(about 5 ft) though our instructors told us it is usually about(15 ft). There were a few fish, mostly kelp and sea foliage. Maybe if I went out a little more, I would’ve seen more rocks formation and such(didn’t go out too far due to my skills test). Exiting the water seemed a tad easier than entering, though you have to really time it right. Stuff you don’t learn in the pool folks. I was such a scaredy cat about this dive so be careful out there if you really are a beginner and have some hesitation with scuba diving. Definitely want to try this dive again once I get a little more practice!
