This is a fun spot for batting practice – nicely maintained machines, friendly folks around, and a pretty laguna canyon backdrop. What’s more, kids can work with instructors to improve their game. My daughter has been working with Orin for a couple of months, and he is probably the best-suited person for working with kids that I’ve ever encountered. He takes her seriously, giving precise, clear instruction, explaining the mechanics of baseball so that she knows why to do things as well as how to do them, and expects her to work hard. But his playful and encouraging approach makes the hard work fun, the inevitable mistakes learning opportunities, and lets her know that someone is really in her corner. For a girl in baseball, it is huge to have someone so obviously and enthusiastically on her side. In just a few months, her game has improved tremendously, her swing is strong, consistent, and effective, and her self confidence is soaring.

There is a shed with some gear both for purchase and to borrow(which is great because we didn’t bring bats) and there are 1 – 2 employees to help get you set up. I would say there are probably only about 5 batting c
