I actually took a weekend class at CSULB with Gina on psychodrama. I’d heard incredible reviews from friends, and while I walked in skeptical, within 20 minutes I was a believer. Gina is warm, smart, funny, feisty, and genuine. She was leading people through some extremely soul-searching exercises — at times, the majority of the class was sniffling — but was there every step of the way in every capacity. Besides teaching and leading psychodrama/psychotherapy groups for non-teaching purposes(group schedules are available on the website), Gina also does individual sessions. I would imagine she’s incredible. There’s something about her that makes you feel safe in talking about whatever you need to say, and she will respect and encourage your rawness. I felt very safe working with her. For those seeking a therapist who shows a lot of emotion and isn’t stiff, Gina is absolutely right for you.
