Worst mall ever! There’s nothing there! They should really fix it and add new better stores. It’s sooo bad!

I’m surprise I don’t see tumble weeds Rollin’ around in this mall. I seriously don’t know how it’s staying alive. Other than the Sephora in JC Penny’s, Victoria’s Secret(which is very limited), See’s candy and Nordys rack(across the parking lot) I don’t go here for anything else. Do yourself a favor and just keep driving…

I went here yesterday to check it out while I was in the area, and I was not impressed. It seemed like that mall was going to close down. There were a lot of closed stores, and the vibe just felt pretty dead. This place needs to make some changes or it’s going to close down… Who knows? Maybe it’s just a bad season…

I feel like this mall has so much potential! I’ll literally only come here if I need to. I definitely the Mrs Fields store for cookies. Most of the stores are closed in here. I’m usually at Nordstrom Rack across the street so I may stop by here just because it’s across the way. There’s a lot of seniors roaming around, and that’s about it! There’s so much they could do with this place. I think it needs some love(and by love I mean remodeling!)

We spontaneously visited this mall as a matter of convenience since it just so happened to be across from OC’s best pumpkin patch.(See review on Pumpkin City’s Pumpkin Patch). We hate to write negative reviews, but sometimes we just can’t help it… and gotta Unilocal it! We hope this place gets an update… and fast! We came in looking to buy something to drink and to kill some time. Unfortunately, this place wasn’t able to provide much of anything — the mall was empty, had closed down stores, not many food/beverage options, was pretty dark and dingy, and provided no source of entertainment. It was uninviting and didn’t even seem like it was open despite it being in the afternoon. We were actually surprised to see a few people walking around since there is a bigger and better mall just minutes away. It appeared that the target audience was the older crowd. We can see how this place is appealing for those trying to get away from the crowds or for those wanting to enjoy an indoor mall. Overall, this mall was just… BORING. Nothing to see. Nothing to do. It was just so sad and quite depressing. We’d love to be able to come back with an update some day saying how much this mall has improved. But, only time will tell. Good luck!

This mall just makes me sad. Growing up this mall was the place to be. My brother and I could spend all day here going from store to store. Unfortunately, those days are gone. Half of the stores are now empty. A lot haven’t been filled since stores left over a decade ago(look no further than the original Disney Store shell that’s right out of the late 90s). The stores that are there all feel like pop up boutiques that won’t last very long. There are apparently plans to turn this mall into an outdoor shopping mall. I think that would be a huge help. But until then, I honestly can’t see a reason to come to this mall. It’s either going to disappoint you due to lack of options, or it’ll make you sad thinking about what it used to be. Or… both.

I love this mall for so many reasons. First off, it always has great deals and bargains. Regardless of the conditions of the mall, you can always go to Macy’s or JC penny’s and not have to wait in line. They also have a great Christian Store at this mall– great mall over all

Experience the washed up relic of the ’90’s. It’s like a going to a Blockbuster to buy a Tamagotchi, and the Blockbuster is inside Paulie Shore’s anus. It’s an amazing experience. Half the stores are closed, and the people are either psychologically unhinged or decrepit and elderly. Watch and enjoy as a mass of slackjawed misfits wander back and forth, looking for meaning among the abandoned storefronts and indoor palm trees. Enjoy the festive atmosphere. It’s like a prom dance, and the theme is decay. Bring the kids in to ride quarter machines that were already out of date when the Super Nintendo was young, or take a relaxing stroll and enjoy the aggressive, desperate sales tactics of the middle eastern kiosk owners. Come here and visit! You’ll like being here… forever…and ever… and ever…

Poor mall… I grew up coming here and remember when they had Broadway department store. Now it’s really a shell of what it once was. The Dinosaur exhibit used to be the mall’s food court. There are many unoccupied spaces for lease… The movie theater still exists. I’m not quite sure if they still do this, but when I was in elementary school they had a summer movie program where you can see a select movie every afternoon. Ah, memories… There are a lot of discount women’s/juniors clothing shops that are worth while if you can’t make the trek to LA Fashion District. Relatively cheap prices. While I walking around I noticed a lot of people from Leisure World. I guess there is a trolly that takes them here to hang out? The only food vendors I saw were Ruby’s, California Pizza Kitchen, Wetzel’s Pretzels, Rubio’s… And a healthy food restaurant(can’t remember the name) I really do hope they make an effort to somehow revitalize this mall soon. It’s so sad!

This place is dying a slow death. Since the neighboring communities are catered to senior citizens who get shuttled here during the day, they are the only patrons I ever see. Many of the store have closed down. I mainly come here for the Victoria’s Secret and MAYBE the JCP if I’m really desperate for something specific because they have good coupons. Last time I was in here, the inside was so dark and dingy. I wouldn’t spend an afternoon here, there’s not a lot to do. Definitely won’t stick around during the nighttime. Dec 2013 — they shut down the whole food court and put up barricades(OC Register) «Renovation will start in 2016 and the mall will reopen in 2017 with brand new name Five Lagunas. The cinema will have 14 screens then.»(Wikipedia) Let’s hope that the face lift brings in the younger crowd.

There’s a few things at Laguna that aren’t right and if your going to visit this holiday season plan accordingly! First there’s no public restroom in the mall! The closest one is inside JC Penny it’s up the escalator and to the left side back of the store. The mall is generally dead many shops have closed and after the holiday season they will start demolishing the mall to become half indoor and half outdoor. This will be the third time that i can remember them changing it looking forward to what it will end up looking like again. The staff and security here have been super nice and helpful with anything I’ve asked if you need to find them they have a booth in the middle of the mall next to Santa. There isn’t very many places to eat inside. However there is a handful of restaurants in the surrounding area close to the mall seek them if you want to get your grub on. Overall I’d say pay a visit before it changes there is a small variety of stores to browse and not many people come here so you will definitely beat out some of that holiday traffic headache!
