My review is for the market selection and not the dining experience. Have never eaten here just purchased products to take home and cook myself. I love the selection of Goya products here. Being Puerto Rican and living in So. Cal I always have a hard time finding the Caribbean products I am used to for the ethnic dishes I enjoy. This market has them all and prices are pretty reasonable. I enjoy coming here and at times walk out with more than was on my list because I find something else I can’t find elsewhere.

The food is here is good portions, very tasty and priced reasonably. In the food business however that doesn’t matter if the service sucks. This place however has been consistently good in service. The people are nice and you don’t have to wait for your food a long time. The taco plate and beef flautas are the best.

One of our favorite places. Great food and excellent selection of products from south of the border. Service is always very good.

Unfriendly and not clean. I think I got sick from eating here. I shouldn’t have listened to a colleague’s recommendation when they brought me here.

I like this place to buy some South American stuff(Gaurana, spices, etc) and to get some meat(entrana). For that, this place is great. But today I went to pick up some aji amarillo paste, and decided to buy some empanadas. I got home, and heated them up in the oven for a few minutes(since they were lukewarm). Big mistake! They were literally the worst empanadas I’ve had in my life. The meat was dried and burnt, the crust could break a window it was so hard. Given the other reviews that rave about the empanadas, I guess I got an old batch. In any case, very disappointed that they would serve me that trash. Business before passion…

They ran out of empanadas today. I’m at a loss. I can’t wait 2 hours to get my fix, I’m gonna have to make it down here soon to get them. The milanesa sandwich will have to do for now.

Chicken empanada was okay but didn’t seem really fresh and was soft on the outside. Asada burrito was good. Good steak and tasty rice and beans in a fresh and soft tortilla. They also have a la carte tacos for 2 bucks and change.

Customer service is not welcoming. A bit unclean. When I see exposed ceiling tiles over any food area it should be a warning to me. I am concerned about what is hiding or falling from those gapes in the ceiling. Seems like a good market though if you are looking for a particular cooking item. Grocery aisles are labeled by country which I thought unique. This is an unfamiliar market scene but I wanted to give it a try. I am always up for supporting local businesses and based on Unilocal dining reviews I ventured in after being disappointed that El Conejo is now an El Pollo Loco. While this market is catered to the Hispanic community, the market and grocery selections are a bit more unappealing(referring to the exposed dirt and grime on counters, coffee/cup area etc) than my Asian markets I’ve encountered because of how cluttered and unclean it was from first glance. Flies are around the exposed foods. Food in the buffet area is NOT covered in any way. Meal prep is done on a plastic tray(i e assembled). I didn’t see a restaurant grade at their door now that I recall. Despite that, their deli seems very busy though from what I saw. My order was misunderstood so after already waiting 20 min for my takeout, I stood in line again and I had to wait another 30 minutes for two additional tacos. Service is very slow. I was the only customer who spoke English with the cashier. While the taco meat looked tasty, it is extremely tough and grisly. Also very salty. My experience here wasn’t a positively memorable one.

Super nice staff. Yummy enpanadas(they have spinach and cheese and chicken that are my fave!!!) and tacos. They also make champurrado and avena early in the morning. Love love love their assortment of mexican products. Especially the alfajores!!! RAFAEL is the best! Very hard worker.

Seems like a clean place. Sitting on a Sunday afternoon tho, they do take kinda long to get your order out.

I’m not sure if I can go to any other Mexican food restaurant now that I have eaten here! I LOVE the carne asada tacos! Fresh lime and roasted pepper on the side and excellent refried beans too! My son is a huge fan of the langua tacos! A little embarrassed that we have been there 3 times in the last 6 days! It’s so good!

Fantastic Mexican food! Small market but the food is great! I have not found a better Mexican food joint around. I also like to buy my meat here for cooking at home. They have the cuts I like.

These guys have the BEST carne asada there is. Just go to the fridges and a very kind gentleman will take care of you. You can either take it home raw or have them cook it for you on the grill. It’s FANTASTIC. If you wish, you can eat there and watch a soccer game.

Great, authentic food. Fresh and fast and handmade. The atmosphere is lacking — it’s just some tables in the middle of a Mexican market — and the service is fine but not very friendly. But if we lived in town(we live 3 hours away) we would totally shop here for all of our Mexican meat needs and the occasional dinner plate or lunch burrito or carne asada platter!
