Really hate having to leave a review like this, it’s not often I’m this bummed out over food. Extremely disappointed in my experience tonight. I attempted to order carry-out over the phone, but after calling four times nobody ever answered. We finally decided to drive over and order to-go since they must be too slammed to answer the phone. We arrived to find there were two patrons in the restaurant… two. Really questioning how it was not possible to answer the phone on such a slow night. It took nearly 20 minutes for our food to be ready, which I would totally understand should our order have been fresh. My stuffed french toast was so cold I actually wondered if it had been refrigerated and served without being heated… it was DISGUSTING. Cold, soggy french toast? Our eggs, hash browns, and bacon were also cold and stale. Not one part of my meal was worth a penny or even edible. I would have gone in and asked for a refund should I have been comfortable confronting the strange cashier who talks to himself.

Terrible place. Don’t go here. We could have went anywhere for dinner tonight and had gotten a better meal for less but decided to come here for the«kids eat free» that IHOP advertised. To our big surprise after we had ordered 3 adult meals and one kids meal, the waiter brought out the bill and charge my 10 year old son for his meal. The bill came out to over $ 41.00. We told him your sign says«kids eat free with one paid adult meal.» He argued and said we could not get the kids meal free even though we paid for 3 adult meals and that we should just go ahead and pay it. Well, it was late and we were tired so we decided not to call the manager to dispute the bill and instead just paid it. Regardless, it was wrong that we had to pay for all four meals and IHOP did not honor their«kids eat free» special even after we paid for 3 adult meals. This is called, plain and simple false advertising!!! So don’t waste your time, money or gas to come here. I don’t know what games they are playing here but they should remove their sign if they don’t want to honor it. Shame on the waiter and management that supports this false advertisement. We will definitely not be back here. Too bad IHOP, you’ve just lost a potential loyal customer over false advertisement. We wouldn’t be surprise if this happened to other people as well. The place was completely empty and this type of treatment would explain why.

This is my favorite South O.C. IHOP restaurant due to its layout and openness. They’re always busy on the weekends, but they seem to sit you fairly quickly. I did however hesitate coming in today(11⁄22) because I know the drinks are always a disappointment! From the flat soda(of which I noticed when I got the bill is over $ 3!!) to the tea, even plain water with lemon seem to taste off! I love the Red Velvet pancakes, sadly they’re only here for a limited time. The hash brown portions have gotten smaller(my favorite part) :( Menu is clean and clear to see/read(they look new). Customer service is getting better, but still needs improvement. You no longer have to pay at the register. They just give you the bill, provide your form of payment, and your done.

Decided to come here this morning since we hadnt eaten there in a long time. I was blissfully surprised. It was like a whole new IHOP. The food was cooked perfectly and the wait staff was highly attentive. One of my big indicators of a breakfast kitchen staff is their ability to prepare an easy poached egg. This has been a huge challenge in the past for many restaurants and this IHOP knocked it out of the park and served a perfectly cooked egg. We will definately being visiting this location again in the near future.

Came here yesterday morning and I have to say, I was very disappointed. The place wasn’t busy, yet our waitress was MIA a lot. Also, I ordered a grilled cheese for my daughter, but the cheese wasn’t even melted. I love IHOP, but this one was a disappointment.

Fun fact the food is cooked in advance and left in a oven at the stale temperature of 35o. Best part about this place is going to eat breakfast in the morning, but before being seated the waiter does not tell your that the credit card machines are down. So you eat, your stale nasty pancakes that cost $ 11 + 2.50 for drink(I could have purchase the same nasty meal at McDonald’s for less) and ask for the check and guess what they bring you the card plate and after you put your card in the card plate 5 minutes later they bring you a carbon copy of your card and ask for you to sign it. All of this without ever telling you or asking your permission to go ahead with making a copy. Solution: I walked out went and got cash out came back and paid the bill. Without losing my credit card info ! After I paid I asked for a receipt and she the waitress only gave me half of it after I walked out I noticed her name and the top part of the receipt was ripped off so walked back in and asked for a real receipt. Best part of you try to take the service survey with the code they provided it comes up saying«you’ve already done a survey with this code. Waitress: 206 — HORTENCI Manager: Maribel Prez Don’t waste your time with this iHop location.

We came here on a Friday night and it was an okay meal all around. It’s not the worst ihop I have been too nor the best. The omelets I thought were rather small. The food came out quickly and tasted pretty okay. The kids meals were decent, especially considering they were free with an adult meal(not sure if that promo is always available). I don’t have any big complaints, but they did seat different parties too close together when most of the restaurant was empty. The service was fine, the food was ok, prices were okay, the cleanliness was fine. This place does not stand out as somewhere I’m dying to eat, but I would not flat out refuse it either.

This is my neighborhood IHOP. Came in at 8:00 pm Sunday — had a craving for pancakes. (+) Cleanest iHOP of all the IHOPS I’ve been to. (+) Friendly(thank you Nancy for your smile & treating us like welcomed customers) (+) Quick and fresh food. Overall, I’ll be happy to return!

I’m not sure why this place gets such a bad rating. This place is soooo much better than Denny’s. My wife and I love to eat out at restaurants and this place is perfect. It’s quiet and the helpings are nothing short of extraordinary. I ordered the Egg white omelet and when it came to the table, I had thought they made a mistake. It was fricken huge! At Denny’s it would’ve been half of the size. You can’t make everyone happy but this place certainly does it for me.

Well kept place but very time consuming for a simple meal. The waiters always take their time to come serve you. It takes a while for even drinks to come and meals take even longer. The prices are good and food is good but service is slow.

We have tried the restaurant several times. And at different times of the day hoping to get different management and staff. I understand when busy service is thin. But when we are of 3 small tables spread out in store and it takes good 1.5 hours to come to table. It becomes a joke. Like I said, we have tried different days and time of day. Service varies fro 45 min to hour and a half. And while you wait you are lucky to wave someone down to get a refill for staff goes in back and never comes out again for a while. To be honest when we have gone in early morn manager walks around constant and staff runs. But service not much better.

For a while I was against IHOP, after having a bad experience when I was younger. My boyfriend and I decided to come here for Sunday brunch(after I thought I might give them a second chance). Overall, I was very unimpressed. First of all, I don’t think anyone who works here speaks English. Living in Southern California, I’m used to that, but it’s pretty ridiculous when the waiters can barely understand what I’m saying. The food was okay, but the eggs were super rubbery. For being the«International House of Pancakes» you would think they would have gluten-free pancakes! The hashbrowns had no flavor, and overall the food was just bad. I had a hot cocoa when we first got there and it was okay, but really, really sweet. It tasted like really bad artificial sweetener. Overall, bad food and sub-par service.

They need to hire more help. They always have only one waiter working the dinner shift, even when it is busy. One waiter cannot possibly take care of everyone!

I have to start out by saying that the food at Ihop is what it is, greasy diner type food. The quality and taste is consistent, so you always know what you are getting, sub par food. No Surprises! The 1 Star comes from the TERRIBLE experience I had there on Tuesday. I went to the restaurant with a group of 7 adults and a few kids. We asked in advance for split checks and were told that would not be a problem. We ordered and got our food after a rather lengthy wait. At the end of the meal, our ticket arrived with the meals split like we requested. By this point, I would have give the experience about a 3 star. I went up to the cashier to pay, and he was on the phone taking a rather long and detailed to go order. He did not acknowledge me at all. I stood and waited patiently until another person came up and tried to help me. She was having a problem with the computer because the cashier had not closed out the last transaction before taking the to go call. She motioned to him and he finally helped her, so she could help me. However, she did not know how to process a payment on a split check. After a little longer, he showed her how. I paid cash, and I went back to my table to leave a cash tip for the waitress. Before exiting, my child and I used the restroom. We left the restaurant and before I had even gotten to the parking lot the cashier came running out with a receipt and said, «excuse me, is this yours? I looked at it and said it was not mine. I told him that and was met with an unbelieving glare as I walked away to my car. As I was putting my son into his carseat, I was confronted, rather closely, by who I am assuming was the manager with him rudely waving the same receipt in my face accusing me of walking my tab. I, once again, looked at the receipt, and told him that was not mime. I was at a bigger table in the back. I was seat 7. My tab was $ 8.46. THISWASNOTMYTAB. I had paid mine at the front and left a tip. He told me, «No, this is yours and you are trying not to pay. If you paid, show me proof». I had taken the original receipt back to the table because 6 other people still had to pay off of it, but I dug through my purse and was able to pull out my receipt showing I paid cash and received change back for my order. Instead of apologizing or trying to make up for his and the cashiers rudeness, he looked at me like he still didn’t believe me. Like I somehow had an Ihop receipt printer in my purse. When someone, 2 someones, chase you down and WRONGFULLY accuse you twice in front of your kids and strangers in the parking lot for walking your tab, the least you can do is apologize. To be treated this way by a cashier is bad but to be treated even worse by the manager is unacceptable. Shame on you IHOP!

My husband, daughter & I usually come here on our days off. Today I came with my daughter and a girlfriend & had the best service! Carlos was our waiter! He was outstanding with my daughter! He does great voice impressions and overall was fantastic! He brought crackers over for my daughter after he took our order to keep her entertained while we waited for the food. Our food was fresh and delicious! I will be asking for Carlos from now on! All the other staff was very friendly as well & said hi to my daughter throughout our whole breakfast! That’s her favorite word :) thank you for making our breakfast so enjoyable IHOP! Customer service is a big deal to me. The crepes are fabulous! Highly recommend!

I’ve come to this location at least 4 times. Service is fine. Prices are a little steeper than Denny’s or Corky’s being that the servings are on the small side. Pros: –Unlimited coffee in a carafe at your table –Variety of pancake syrups –Periodic promotions that suck you in(like today’s $ 0.56 short stack day and free rooty tooty bday club) –Quick seating the times I’ve been here –Pancakes are always great! Cons: –Cleanliness is questionable. My husband’s coffee mug was given to him with a lipstick stain on it, my fork had dried melted chocolate on it, and my kid’s knife had a piece of straw wrapper that was wet, then dried left on it.) I saw an employee rolling silverware. This person should be the last to inspect the utensils after the dishwasher. These were easily visible stains. –Maybe not every server is this bad, but ours forgot basically every request. Basic stuff like ketchup, napkins, water, to-go box. Asked us what toast we wanted, wrong one came out. But he was prompt with the bill when it was time. I was facing the kitchen and I could see him repeatedly drop off dirty dishes(at one time his fingers were full on inside the mouth of the cups so he could grasp 3 at a time) then walk out immediately with new orders of food. I don’t think he washed his hands even once. Today’s visit was enough to make me reconsider coming here since it is a bit of a drive and plenty of options nearby.

From time to time, I have brought family members here. In the early years that the place was in operation, no issues what so ever. It has been a steady decline over time, from inadequate servers to cold food being served. Won’t be coming here anymore. Would rather fork over an additional $ 10.00 and get a awesome breakfast at the Pancake House that is always hot and delish. Cold, rubbery eggs from IHOP leave a lot to be desired and the worse part was, the server that tried to explain that due to the eggs being a liquid form, that’s the way they turn out… uh, yeah right and I have a bridge I want to sell you too! So not only are you privy to a cold breakfast, you can have your intelligence insulted as well. If I could leave less than one star, I would.
