OC Skin Institute actually closed their Laguna Niguel office so I took my wife to their San Clemente office. On the first visit Dr. Nakhla seemed very nice and quite sharp. My wife was there regarding a cyst on her right temple. The doctor said it was simple to remove. He prescribed an antibiotic to try and shrink the cyst, and told us to come back in two weeks and he would remove the cyst in his office there. When we went back for the procedure, the first thing that I thought was odd was that he asked my wife if she still wanted the procedure done. Of course, she said yes(this is why we were there). Then he said, I need to prescribe a stronger antibiotic, since the first one showed no effect. And, can you come to my Santa Ana office for the procedure. When I asked him why there, he said that was his main surgical location. Albeit odd, we agreed, and made the appointment. As we were leaving, the receptionist asked for my $ 40 co-payment. I said, all the doctor did was change the surgery date. She said it was a «follow-up» visit. So I’m really not feeling to good about this place. But what topped it off, was when we picked up her new prescription, which was supposed to be «stronger» since the first one didn’t work. When we got home, we discovered, he prescribe the exact same antibiotic as the first! That was it-cancelled her next appointment, and found a new dermatologist. Dr. Nakhla showed me that he really didn’t care about his patients. Anyone else have an experience like this?

He’s in it for the money. He has 3 offices. And he has 3 different Unilocal reviews He is in It for the aesthetics. If you want a DERMATOLOGIST that has YOUR interest at heart, then go to a doctor that has been in the business a long time. A good doctor can treat your for both, aesthetics and skin issues that could result in skin cancer. Dr. N is young and has no bedside manner at all. He’s a cocky guy that should have named his business In & Out Burners. He just wants to fry your skin and zap your money from you… Whether it’s costmetic or medical reasons for your visit, he’ll figure out some way to get some bucks out of you…

I have had brown spots and a bump on my chest for a few months and I finally decided to get it checked out. I found OC Skin Institute under my Healthcare Providers so I went bc it was close to my house and the doctor had good credentials. My appointment was at 4 but wasn’t seen until 4:45 and when I was finally seen, he looked at it for literally 5 seconds and said«Is this it?» A lump growing between my breasts and brown spots is kinda a big deal but he didn’t give me any information as to what it might be. I kid you not, I got less than 5 minutes of his time. After waiting 45 minutes for him to see me, he didn’t even do a thorough exam, let alone tell me what the heck is wrong with my skin!!!

This was my first time visit to OC Skin institute. Great dermatologist! Nothing but positive to say. Same day appointment and really sweet staff. Left with one less mole and no more worries ;)
