I needed to rent a suit for a Red Carpet event and dealt with Sam who is the owner and he provided excellent customer service. Amazing service! I was informed by my wife that we were attending a formal event that same evening and needed a suit (at least). Searched Unilocal and found Pacific Island close by. I came in and was fitted immediately and alterations were done while I waited. Less than 15 minutes and voila! I was on my way. Sam was friendly and so accommodating. Great to find and I’ll be back as their selection was very good and service top notch.

Friendly tailor that does great alterations on mens pants. His alteration on jeans is especially good. The jeans he altered now fit better than any store bought ones I’ve owned before.

Sam is the man! He is good at his job, and once he knows you, he warms up tremendously. He is a little cold in the beginning, so I get the other review saying similar things. But bottom line, his work is always good, his timing is reliable, and his pricing is competitive.

My husband needed a tuxedo last minute (same day) for a work event. Pacific Island were helpful on the phone, even more helpful in person, knowledgable about styles, reasonably priced and with excellent next-​day pick-​up service so we don’t even have to go back (we’re from out of town). Excellent range of tuxedos and excellent service. Highly recommended!

My family and I have been going to Sam at Pacific Island Tuxedo for over 15 years. He is always extremely professional and does a fantastic job. I have had every type of pant hemmed here and the quality of work is always great. I have also had a few suits altered here (pants hemmed, waste brought in, pant leg slimmed, jacket slimmed to be more of a modern fit) and I am always impressed with how the final product turns out. I definitely recommend Sam and his work!

Just had a pair of new jeans shortened and hemmed. Did a great job for $ 9.00.
Owner/​tailor was not friendly. Did great work, but felt like he didn’t want my business.
Don’t know if it was because I am not white.
