The Karman Bar

Came here for a few bands a few weeks ago because my family knew one of the singers. I felt like I didn’t fit in… but I had the BEST time! Everyone from the employees to the band were friendly! Even the people hanging out at the bar were totally sweet. I felt comfortable after just talking to a few people. They keep everything clean (even the bathrooms), the drinks are fairly priced, and they have a dance floor which makes it pretty fun. It’s a smaller bar, but it’s worth it to come and enjoy the bands! Parking is a bit of a pain if its a weekend, but you just have to park around the corner and walk (not that far AT all). There’s a cover charge to get in since they have live bands — but it’s totally worth it. They’re located just right off the freeway. I will be back!

3 names changes for a reason! Place is trash.
ABC should have shut this place down years ago not to mention that staff goes out of their way to harm customers. I’ve experienced and witnessed it multiple times.

i recently was searching for a venue to host a Memorial for a friend that passed away. Needing somewhere located in South Orange County that would allow live bands for fundraising purposes was not going to be easy.
From the first time I called and spoke with the owner of the bar whom was very professional and eager to help get me one of her staff members who handled the event planning — it was a complete success.
All of the staff were more than helpful in helping me navigate the planning of the memorial event (from sound guy, security, video slideshow, bartender etc.)
It was so comforting to have a knowledgeable and empathetic staff when show time came on the day of event.
A great place on so many levels — above and beyond anything other bars and like venues have to offer.

I had no idea this bar existed till I went to see Missing Persons. We arrived and they were setting up outside the taco stand. Yum!
The venue smelled clean and the girls at the bar were all sexy with tattoos. Staff was all adorable and smiled at the drop of a dime.
The bar has everything including pitchers with water. The crowd was a mix bag of ages and styles. Pool tables a plus! The stage is intimate and I was able to dance to my favorite jams with my all time favorite girl singing in front of me.
I loved the venue and the staff!
Yes the location is industrial but everyone I encountered was super nice and friendly. No creeps for miles to see.
The only draw back was the girls bathroom. Only one (1) toilet. Really? So I was waiting in line like a lady and then it was my turn and Guess what? Guess who needed to use the bathroom REALLY BAD? Dale Bozzio her self! OMG!!!
«Oh Yeah I know who you are go ahead and cut in front of me!» I told her. she ran to the bathroom with out a thought. Then when she came out of course it was my moment to chat with her. She was super sweet and chatty I gave her a big hug.
So maybe in the near future the owner can fix this drawback or at minimal when you have shows you could have another bathroom available?
Otherwise for the consumer/​guest you might want to be aware the girls bathrooms will be a wait if you go in to see a band.
Again that was the only time I did not enjoy myself. Otherwise the crowd was friendly and the bar girls were attentive and friendly. This is a plus to see gorgeous girls that are serving me a drink are kind and not a cranky bitch.
After a while everyone was eating tacos on tables and chairs. I was not hungry so I missed out. They also have comfy siting (Booth) and that seems to be a rare thing in venues or bars. A plus for us because I was able to relax and people watch.
I hope to return soon and I hope the venue continues to bring in more bands.
my experience was based on a weekend night. Lastly the prices are reasonable on band nights and the drinks are cheap.
Over all It is so nice to have a local bar that brings in bands and that I do not have to drive out to LA.
If your visiting or going by check it out especially on nights they have bands. SO MUCH FUN!

Great place for some who really like Metal and other heavy rock. Very busy with lots of loud music.

Came in for the first time tonight. Friendly staff, big space, beautiful art from local artists displayed on the wall (for sale too!), 50 cent pool tables, and ROCK music. My new favorite go to bar for nights filled with pool, drinks, and good music!

The Karman Bar is great. Who else gets Gutttermouth on New Years? Lisa, Erin and Jesse do! Go see them!

The location of this bar is slightly terrifying — you really would expect it to be a storage facility. Some of my girlfriends and I came here on a Tuesday for some drinks and were pleasantly surprised when we walked inside. It was clean, service was decent, and the karaōke was blastin’. I can imagine this place being packed during the weekend but because of its weird location, I didn’t necessarily feel safe when leaving the bar. Good vibes once you get inside though!

Cheap beers, hot babes, bearded hunks and a Hawks fan. They party.
Between the live shows every weekend and the themed nights during the week this place has something for everyone. Just don’t get caught taking a selfie!

I would never drink in my life. This is why i always commit to being dd to people. However one night about a week and a half ago, my boyfriend was here for karaōke night akd i showed up as designated driver. I didnt even go inside because i wouldnt be buying anything. Well that night, the guy running karaōke gave me the biggest insult i have ever heard in my life. I am the farthest thing from it. He called me a haroine junkie and told me if im not buying anything i have to leave. This is not safe because as dd that meant all my friends who were drinking had to either find another ride or risk a dui. My boyfriend and i got kicked out. My friends werent even there to help fit his bike in my car. And he had to drunkenly ride his bike home. I would never go back here even if i did drink because they caused us to break the law. Not only that but calling someone names like that is so high. School. Just because im skinny does not make me a heroine junkie. Maybe ive been struggling with my weight my whole life. What if i had an eating disorder. Its insults like that that cause people to become suicidal. The man with the tattooed face is lucky i have a strong heart and can handle my shit. This place doesnt even deserve one star.

Swing night is awesome here. The only one I know in south OC that has alcohol! Fun bar and great bands!

The Karman Bar is way better than rocks. I like that they have new live bands every weekend. They used to not have many drink specials, but now they have a ton and serve Moscow mules too!

The new owner is amazing! Definitely a place everyone has to stop by. Convenient enough location to all of South OC

Went for the first time last month (hadn’t been here since the ownership change) and had a blast! Was pleasantly surprised to see they had a live band playing and impressed with the new TV set up. I will definitely go back!

I love this place! The bartenders are always on top of their game and the new ownership has done a great job of upgrading the pool tables, adding brand new TV’s throughout, and having awesome drink specials!

Awesome bartenders great drinks and always an fun time if you never been here you’re missing out!
