The Hana bar Sundays here are incredible! We first experienced the food from CJ’s at our friend’s wedding in Kaanapali which they catered. We enjoyed everything so much we decided to go there for lunch a few days later. I can’t say enough about how good this place is! We absolutely loved the food and the prices were very reasonable for the area. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

GOSOMEWHEREELSE!!! I contacted Christina Jorgensen for catering. Her website lists many different prices, and both times I received a quote from her«minimum price» was significantly higher than her advertised prices. Furthermore, without my consent she gave out my email to a photographer, something I had not requested nor wanted. Her customer service is terrible and her sales tactics are deceptive

Nope. Not good if you are looking for sandwiches to take to the beach. Deli meat was — just not great/not fresh or the quality is poor. They got 2 of our 4 orders wrong and we found hairs on one of the sandwiches. Yuck. I don’t know what the food is like if you order in. I hope better. I just don’t recommend for sandwiches for the beach.

This is probably one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I ordered one of the day’s specials, nachos, and the tortilla chips that weren’t burned were soggy. My husband ordered a Cuban sandwich which didn’t come out as advertised on their menu. Also we somehow ended up with onion rings instead of fries. To top it all off the woman working the register was rude. At least the onion rings were good.

We found C.J.‘s on the recommendation of our concierge at the condo we stayed at on Maui. C.J.‘s is a gem! It’s a bit hard to find because it’s in a rather nondescript strip of shops, the shop signage could be better, and our GPS threw us off, but once you step inside, you’re in for a treat! C.J.‘s offers authentic local breakfast, lunch, and dinner fare. We started our days there with fantastic entrees like pineapple fried rice with eggs, eggs Benedict with salmon and with crab(two different days!). They also offer their famous box lunch option: sandwich, fruit, drink, and a secret recipe Hana bar that’s to die for… all packed in a returnable cooler you can take to the beach: and all of this for $ 15! Oh, and did I mention everyone there is super nice? C.J.‘s is a spot not to be missed on your trip to Maui!

One of my favorite places on the west side to grab a quick bite. No fast food here. Everything I ever tried has been fresh and great!

The last few times, the food has been sub par. We used to eat there every time we came to Maui. Never again, don’t know what happened :(.

My wife and I ate here a few times for breakfast while we stayed at the Royal Lahaina Hotel just down the street. Nice place to eat. Great food and very friendly staff.

I really enjoyed breakfast at CJ’s! My boyfriend and I came here after another place told us there was an hour+ wait, and I am SO glad we ended up at CJ’s instead! I really enjoyed my pancakes, and the vanilla macadamia coffee was AMAZING. The atmosphere was casual, it’s decorated nicely, and most important to me– it’s clean. I will definitely be eating here again!

Everything about our visit to CJs was AMAZING! Service was quick and very friendly. The food was EPIC! The atmosphere was a friendly vibe and relaxing. Next time we are in Maui we will drop by. CJs offers pre made meals for taking The Road to Hana and even to take on your plane ride home. Truly a diverse and memorable establishment. Top notch!

Visiting Maui and it’s tough to find extensive vegetarian options here. Was excited to discover this place next to Skyline ziplining cuz they had vegetarian options. But. Came into purchase a veggie burger and was recommended the vegan burger instead because of the higher protein content, which I appreciated. However, if you order a regular burger for $ 8.50, you can add 3 toppings for a new total of $ 10.50. The vegan burger is $ 9.50 to begin with, and if you want to add 3 toppings then the total is $ 13.50, according to the cashier. This made no mathematical sense to me. By default, the burger does come with lettuce, tomato, and raw red onion. I added cheese and was charged $ 2 for it. Felt ripped off. Not coming back on principle. altho the burger itself was decent, and the cashier was really nice. Maybe that’s a little harsh but I’d rather get a pot pie at Leoda’s. P. S. Note my tip below regarding the Unilocal check-in offer. Couldn’t get a free Hana bar with entrée purchase without ALSO paying for a beverage.

Do not order the special pineapple fried rice! I’m not a picky eater and I usually eat everything but I spit this out on the first bite. Horrible! The Fish tacos were average. Fish was dry and could have use some more seasoning. The mango ribs were overcooked. Now I know why this place is the cheapest in the area. If cheap is what you’re looking for, L&L is cheap and good.

Cashier was very friendly. Cozy atmosphere. I had the fish tacos. Tasted very fresh, but seasoning was a bit bland. My husband had the sampler platter and said it was cooked nicely, but could’ve used more flavor. Wouldn’t go out of my way to stop here, but if you’re traveling back from the blowhole and hungry, consider popping in.

CJs catered our son and daughter-in-laws wedding. They had it ready on time, we picked it up, it was that easy. We ordered chicken satay, fried rice, salad, pork ribs, fish, and another chicken dish. It also came with bread. And some Hana bars, salad and, oh yeah I forgot the steak. There were 11 of us but it was enough for 20 people, at least. Oh wait, I forgot about the coconut shrimp and two types of dressing for the salad, and potatoes. Awesome food and courteous service. It tasted even better the next day when we heated the leftovers up in the oven. I highly recommend this place for any reason, dinner, lunch, wedding, you name it. They are great!

We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious inviting environment and prices were fair but very disappointed by the food. There were four of us and none of us ate much of what we ordered it was that bad. I think we ordered the wrong stuff. Don’t order burgers, fish and chips or salad. It left me feeling yucky and I didn’t eat much. Maybe stick to sandwiches? This place seems like they are offering way too much on the menu, they should offer less and do it right.

The Worst Breakfast Fried Rice That I ever ate… Seriously gross! Slimy and covered with some sort of BBQ sauce. The coconut macadamia nut pancakes were good.

My husband and I were looking for a quick place to eat in the kaapali beach area and came across this place. Fast and helpful service. Lady at the front counter was patient and helped make suggestions. I went with the special breakfast fried rice and added pineapple(per her suggestion). Soooo yummy! I also had 2 over medium eggs on top and they were cooked perfectly. A lot of restaurants always seem to mess that up too with it being way runny or solid.

Big fan of this place! It’s right up the way from where we are staying, and totally in walking distance if we feel like going uphill to get there. I’ve been here twice now for breakfast. Prices are reasonable and the menu is plentiful. All the food is very tasty. I’ve had the bacon croissant sandwich and the breakfast wrap so far, and I’ve tasted the macadamia pancakes with coconut syrup. Needless to say, this is the type of place I would be fine returning again and again to. You order and pay at the counter, then wait for your order to be called. The food comes out on paper plates and trays, but it just means an easy clean up. Water cups are available, and they also have coffee and a fridge full of different bottled beverages.
