I absolutely love this place. It’s affordable, delicious, and has great service! Come every time I’m here and it’s always a favorite. Love love love

Loved the breakfast buffet since it was free for guests. Saved us a ton of money. Each day they have 1 item that’s different but it was good.

All you can eat buffet at the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel. This is where you go when you want to fill up at Ka’anapali Beach without spending an arm and a leg, nothing more, nothing less.

We stayed at the resort that this«restaurant» is in so we had free breakfast here at this place which was great. The buffet here is just mediocre. They have all the breakfast essentials and they have some hawaiian dishes as well. I really liked the hawaiian sausage they have. They have great fresh food as well, but besides that nothing here was very special. THey did have a large selection of juice which i enjoyed. I have not tried this place for lunch or dinner, so this review is just for their breakfast.

A long time ago, when I used to be very poor and very broke, visited Maui and ate here as a result of the Entertainment Guide, or some other type of pathetic coupon. Seriously though, it’s not that bad. They actually have a good selection of buffet food to fill you up if you’re looking to get a huge meal at a really good price.

Kaanapali Mixed Plate is the all you can eat buffet located inside the the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel. The fiancé and I came to the mixed plate for breakfast. We got here at 7AM so the place was empty at the time. Prices here range between $ 13 — $ 16 for all you can eat and this is one of the cheaper places in the area. The breakfast buffet selection was on the small side. Definitely smaller than most buffets, but definitely bigger than several continental and hotel buffets I’ve been too. They have your standard selection of bacon, scrambled eggs, pastries & donuts, small bagels, toasts, cereal, and a couple of breakfast meats i.e. bacon and sausage. They do offer some fruit selection, cold cuts, and also some asian foods i, e, fried rice and noodles. In the center they have juice & soda disperser, coffee, and tea. The food quality here is ok. I mean it’s a buffet and you get what you pay for. I’ve certainly eat at worst places and definitely been to much better buffets. There were a couple of misses and a couple of things that I ate that far exceeded my expectations. Service here was decent enough. Someone came around and got our plates and the people working here seemed friendly enough. So overall the Kaanapali Mixed Plate gets 3 stars. Prices here are cheap compared to other places around here but the quality is just ok. Mostly just a place to fill your stomach on a budget. If you go in expecting anything more, you’re going to leave disappointed.

A waitress at the Maui Westin highly recommended this place to us. It’s got a breakfast buffet for $ 13.50 vs the breakfast buffet at Ono’s at the Westin for almost $ 26. We went, we ate, we were grossed out, and it was the only bad meal we had our entire 10 days on Maui. Rice, uncorny corn bread, slices of bolgna lunch meat cut in half, runny scrambled eggs, and toast. Oh, and some fruit that must be the only pineapple in the Hawaiian islands to look unrefreshing. It was crowded, so we obviously have a different opinion than most others. Keep that in mind. But I would never venture near this place in the front of the Ka’anapali hotel again and I would not recommend it to anyone visiting Maui. Yuck.

Local Hawaiian food comes from a variety of cuisines, but the staples are rice and pork and fish. You will not find high end cuisine here, but you will find some mighty tasty food. We went here for lunch on Sunday. For $ 13.50 you get an all you can eat buffet of salad, including mac salad, seaweed salad and kim chee; plenty of bread and sandwich fixings; white rice, brown rice, and fried noodles; a delicious sliced pork with mushrooms in gravy(totally delicious, especially over rice), good fried fish, and cooked chicken; malasaladas, five different cakes, three different pies, and soft ice cream. There is also a drinks bar including juice, sodas, coffee, and tea. For dinner they serve prime rib. We saw no tourists there, but three local police, a few service workers, and several large groups greeting one another and enjoying a family meal. I’m sure we will be back when we want a nice, cheap, big local meal. — — — — — — — — — 21 September 2009 We just went there for lunch and I have to remove two stars. They have ended their buffet lunch and canceled dinners altogether until December, 2009. Now they have a plate lunch option. Rice or noodles and three small entrees. Unfortunately these entrees are highly variable. Rather than getting a spoonful and then getting more if it is tasty, you have to decide up front and that’s all you get. No pineapple, lomi lomi salmon, seaweed salad, or cake and pie desserts. The three entries I got(butterfish, Huli chicken, and unidentified pork stew) were all less than tasty. My husband’s teri beef wasn’t much better. We won’t go back unless they reinstate the buffet(and the previous cook). The local police also seem to have found another place to eat.
