Kapalua Ziplines

Peter, Nessa and Hunter were great. They kept the atmosphere light and humorous. Couldn’t ask for a better team and day to go zip. Views were awesome. We did 7 lines. 3 of the 7 are long lines and the others are short to medium. Time well spent!

Did the morning 4-​zipline choice. Had to deal with a rainstorm (the company provides rain ponchos), but still had a lot of fun. Nice views of rainbows and the ocean in the distance, but other than that not too much chance to see the scenery. Mainly had to concentrate on the guide’s signals, the only exception being the last line which was very long and thus allowed time to look around. Very well organized and the staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

High-​flying fun @ Kapalua zip line… great views of the northwest side of Maui @2200ft and Molokai as you zip down… the lines are much higher than that of the Uma-​Uma Falls zip line in the big island of Hawaii… the trek up to the first jump station get your heart rate going… suggest hiking shoes so you don’t ruin your immaculate Nike or Under Armour shoes… a must do along with the water activities.

Have wanted to go zip lining for a long time and Maui seemed like the perfect place. Researched the various options and decided Kapalua Ziplines sounded like the best. We chose the 7 line option and had Spud and Justin as our guides. It was amazing! Even though I was terrified for the first zip, it was so exhilarating! Safety was their #1 priority, and that’s what you want. They have tandem lines which made it more fun, and it wasn’t scary at all – it was breathtaking! Will be a high point of our trip!

Really great time. Brandon and Josh were good and capable guides and I would highly recommend the experience, albeit pricey. It’s a bucket list type excursion for sure. A real lunch would’ve been the icing on the cake. We got protein bars and a delicious pineapple for lunch which seemed more like a snack. Exhilarating is the best word to describe the experience.

I was very skeptical at first when we booked and paid for the 7 line tour – I thought it was really expensive for something that (in my mind) goes by so quickly. Kapalua Ziplines quickly proved me wrong! It was an amazing experience that was one of the highlights of our trip. The tour was much more involved than just zipping down the line and included a walk across their suspension bridge and short hikes between each of the seven lines (the entire tour took about 4 hours). The guides were extremely knowledgeable and made sure we all had a fun and safe time.
Two of the things that I think sets this company apart from others has to be the equipment and the lines themselves. I’ve gone ziplining in the past and the device that those outfitters used to hold you onto the line seemed extremely flimsy in comparison to the trolly system that Kapalua Ziplines uses. We all felt very safe and secure. The lines themselves are absolutely amazing and each one is very different, some are faster, some are higher, some are longer, etc.
Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend them to any one looking to go ziplining on Maui :)

Had a great time at Kapalua Ziplines! Our guides Justin and Peter were fantastic! It’s a great half day adventure and it’s unlike anything I have ever experienced. It really puts Disneyland’s Indiana Jones to shame. I would do this again and it’s a great family activity!

Had an amazing time. We did the 7 line upper mountain. It was great. Loved our guides TJ and Kanue. They were so knowledgable and we felt so safe. The 2300 foot beast was worth it and the last line we did.
You can bring a camera as long as it has a wrist strap and you can hook it to something. I would recommend this. You c an rent a gopro there as well. I took my phone with me and kept it in my bra which was fine.
It was an amazing experience with spectacular views. I recommend it.

Amazing experience! I wish we could give it more than 5 stars. Bucky, Spud and Derek were great guides. They made us laugh and settled our nerves We really enjoyed Bucky’s quick wit and passion for life… awesome.
Definitely one of the most memorable activities of our Maui vacation.

Well worth the extra $$ to do the 7 line zip for sure. I second my fellow Unilocalers on the recommendation to go out on the 730AM trip if you can. You’ll start out with an awesome 1^st line with amazing views, you’ll get a ride up on the ATVs that’s extra fun in the mud, and you’ll go across the cool suspension bridge. They give you jackets and pants if you want for the cold and rain too if you want.
Our guides were easy going and professional. Safety is obviously a priority with this bunch.
You’ll have to leave your valuables in the base station office, so unless you’re bringing a GoPro, that’s about all you’ll want to pack in. The guide is snapping some pictures from a low resolution, point and click camera, but in my opinion they aren’t worth the $ 50 extra. Rent their GoPro for $ 50 instead if you dont have one.
The 7 line tour gets you a wide variety of terrain and lengths, for $ 30 extra it’s money well spent.
This bunch is the Cadillac tour on the Island. Pick them, you really won’t be disappointed.

From the moment we walked in I knew this outfit was extremely professional. Megan at the desk was extremely polite and informative. Bucky our guide was knowledgable and funny. Kept the nervous zippers engaged and eased them across a few thousand feet of air space. We caught a lot of wind and drizzle but for me, just added to the experience. My 16 year old, ever the complainer, said best thing he did in Maui.

One of the best adventures of my life! So exhilarating and fun. Thomas and Nessa were fantastic and made the whole morning so memorable. They made us feel safe and went through all steps clearly.
I highly recommend paying the extra bucks and doing the 7 line zip. I did the 7:30am session which was perfect becuase it wasn’t too hot and I had the rest of the day to go to the beach. The sandwich was delicious too.
Overall a wonderful experience. So fun! Can’t wait to do it again!!!

Booked a seven line package for the family. Little expensive but worth it (at least once). Don’t skimp on a cheaper package of you can afford it. Had a great time. Didn’t feel any danger. Nui and Josh made everyone feel at ease. Chicken sandwichs were tasty. Lots of picture and video opportunities so don’t forget your camera, phone or GoPro. Here’s a video of my daughter.

May wasn’t the best time to go (it was cloudy during my entire visit to Maui) and we picked the shortest tour (the sunset tour) but I still had a blast. The hosts were excellent, I felt safe and yet free enough to hang upside down and clasp my feet together on the way down the fastest line!
The photo package is $ 50 on top of already paying for the zipline experience but I didn’t bother — seems a bit exorbitant for a couple only halfway-​decent photos, but otherwise it was great great great. Would definitely return and recommend to family/​friends.

My best friend and I booked an adventure the other day. His first time and I have done it many times. The group we went with were all first timers of all ages over 45 years old. Everyone was a little scared and by the 6 or 7^th zip they were all having fun and relaxing.
Everyone there was professional and entertaining. As i mentioned i have done this many times all over the world and these guys are one of rhe best. So you’ve made it to this part of the world where everything is green, you can always see the ocean, and the spirit of aloha permeates your life for as long as you stay.
While you’re here, you might as well strap yourself to a wire and go flying across valleys and above trees. You can see whales, waterfalls, your life flashing before your eyes. It’s fantastic. After the first one, you’ll be a pro. Lay back like a pencil to go fast, spread yourself out like a butterfly to slow down. It’s terrific.
They’ll take plenty of pictures for you, so bring a bit of cash for the zip drive at the end. You’ll definitely want to remember this part of your trip.

I just got back from Zip-​lining around the West Maui hills and it was amazing! I came for the 8am start time and it was a good time to go, not too hot. I did the 4-​line package and it took about 2 hours with a group of 7 people total. They provided wind-​breaker jackets that were perfect for the wind and sporadic sprinkling rain that happens on the island. Everyone in the group had a great time, all smiles, no incidents or anything bad happened at all.
The two people who helped the group were Bucky and Sutton. They made sure everything was safe and rigged properly, and they also made sure everyone had a great time. Bucky and Sutton were really funny together, and actually they made the whole experience way more enjoyable; great guys working there! The woman at the front reception desk (whose name I can’t remember right now) was really nice as well! They offer to hold any items you have in their vault, so your wallet/​keys /​phone doesn’t fall out of your pockets into the dense foliage below.
The first zip-​line was a practice run because it was shorter, and the other 3 were longer lines (medium-​long length). The van ride to get up to the top of the hill, from the meeting point at the bottom, took about 10−15mins. The rigging and equipment is really safe and there is no way to fall out, or off the line. The harnesses were comfortable and it was just like sitting on a snug chair.
Once you finish the 4 lines they drive you back down to the meeting point where you have the option to purchase the pictures that they took for $ 50; it comes on a USB thumb drive and you get a t-​shirt with it as well. There is also the option to rent a GoPro video camera that you strap onto your chest for $ 50 before you go up the hill; I think that package comes with a shirt too. I had my own GoPro and Chesty strap so I didn’t need to rent one, but I would recommend it because the footage is awesome.
5-​Star experience, great time, friendly staff, I would go again for sure!

TJ and Nessa did an amazing job Craig a fun and relaxed atmosphere while ensuring our safety. They eased my wife’s anxious nerves and gave me tips to step it up, upside down that is. A great way to see some of the island and learn about the area as well.
Get out of your comfort zone and experience something. Different!
