Must stop for families with children traveling to Maui. My 2 and 4yo girls had a blast! They even had prizes to take home with egg hunting afterwards. The girls were raving about it the whole day. Book ahead of time, just call them. What an experience indeed for young children. I’m glad we found this place!

Wow, just wow! We happened upon this place searching Unilocal for kid activities in Maui. We come here to Maui often, but now with toddler in tow our vacations are very different from our dive and fine dining trips. We were a little hesitant given the price and seemingly short duration of the once daily tour. But, our two and a half year old was excited about the animals, so we booked it. In short, it was the highlight of our trip. The location itself is gorgeous and peaceful with sweeping ocean views. It was incredibly hands-on, feeding horses, miniature horses, chickens, pigs, goats. We got to pet a turkey, hold chickens, and I had a friendly pigeon hop on my head. It has us seriously contemplating going vegetarian. Our son got to hold a baby goat, then, catch & release fish & tadpoles after an egg hunt complete with treat. Then, visiting the tortoises, our guy got to pick up and race a papaya eating tortoises. If it seems like a lot to do in a short tour, it’s not. We never felt rushed, were seamlessly guided to the next activity by our sweet & knowledgable hostess, Nis. We felt like we learned a lot ourselves and our toddler was in heaven. Money well spent! If you have kids 6& under, they will love this special place, we sure did.

Awesome spot for kid-friendly fun! At the Lahaina Animal Farm, they provide a guided tour to each of the animals, describing the breed and also teaching kids how to feed and pet them. All the animals are super docile, waiting for their carrot treats! We lucked out in that our group was pretty small, and the kiddo got to feed the animals a lot of carrots! The guide is super friendly, and has toddlers of her own, so she knows how to maintain their interest in everything that is going on. My kid still talks about how«his» turtle, Honk, won the turtle race! She also offered animal crackers to midway, which was helpful in keeping the little ones happy during the tour.(There’s a sink for washing hands before eating.) Will definitely be back!

BEST animal farm visit EVER! The 1.5 hour tour was the most entertaining and fun experience, and it came with such a beautiful view! The farm only hosts one tour a day, which starts promptly at 9:30am. We were greeted, signed waivers, and we got a drink of POG before starting. Over the course of the tour, we got to see, feed and learn about horses, miniature horses, donkeys, Happy the pig, chickens, turkeys, turtles, golden tilapia and tadpoles/frogs. Our guide(I forgot her name!) was fantastic and so good with my 5 year old son. My son loved helping her feed the animals and clean Tonka, the giant turtle. The catch and release of the golden tilapia and the tadpoles was so fun for my son as well. The farm is set up in the hills of Lahaina, and it’s gorgeous. These animals get a nice view! Hand washing, snacks and some POG and water were built into the tour. Overall a great tour/experience with a really good flow through the farm. Any families visiting Maui, or at least families staying in Lahaina, should consider this tour. It’s well-worth the amount they charge. I also found that everyone in our group — from my 5 year old to his grandparents, were well-engaged throughout the entire tour.

If you have kids and are visiting Maui, Lahaina Animal Farm is a can’t miss. It’s situated up in the hills so you get an amazing view of the ocean. Our sons were in heaven at this place since they were able to feed the horses(my son loved Tito and now knows how to feed them properly). They also got to feed and interact with the pig, chickens, fish, turtles. Great activities and very well explained. Totally worth the visit for kids(and adults).

At first I wasn’t sure the price would be worth it. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. Not only does each kids get to feed(and learn) about the individual animals, they also collected tadpoles, went on an egg hunt, gave a tortoise a bath, and MORE. They provided snacks too. I loved how the tour guide kept it interesting for the children and the adults. Highly recommend it!

When you think of a farm, this is not what you think of. Beautiful, clean, AMAZING ocean views. If this is farm life, you could sign me up. We took our kids(ages 3 and 1) and they loved it!!! Got to feed the horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, and fish. Got to catch a fish and tadpoles and pet the animals. This was great fun for the kids and for the adults. The five stars is well deserved!

LOVELOVELOVETHISPLACE! I took my 5 yr old cousin and 18 yr old sister, we all enjoyed it.(My sister and I more than my cousin, she was too chicken to feed the animals or even pet them.) There’s lot of different animals and I love that our guide not only provided information about the species, she also gave us their history.(Like they rescued one of their horses.) Recommended for a family day and I will be stopping by again with the rest of my family.

A wonderful guided experience for children(it was fun for my wife and I as well). They have a nice variety of animals, and let the kids get up close and personal with many of them. We fed and pet horses, mini horses, goats, donkeys, chickens, turtles, fish, pigs, and a few activities like a tortise race and talapia/tadpole catch and release. Our daughter loved it. The guide was great, hospitable and informative. A must see if you have children! Also consider the aquarium for another great kids activity.

Visit Maui for the first time from San Diego. If you have a family with kids and looking for a great way to start the morning this is a great option! This location was amazing for my family and me. I thought it was only going to be for the kids, but i took as much enjoyment out of this location as my kids. Not only is the farm beautifully taken care of, but so are the animals. Out Guide was so kind and thoughtful. She truly has a passion for what she does and it shows. She had a great deal of knowledge of the animals and made everyone Kids and adults feel more than welcome to pet and feed the animals. The amount of interaction you get is unlike any other animal farm we’ve been. I honestly don’t want to spoil the surprises on post, but you’ll interact everything from Fish, horses, chickens and more. The guide was also considerate enough to take a pause while doing the tour to get a drink and snack. It was all those little things to make us feel welcomed and have a genuine experience. Like others my family and i love nature, animals, beautiful scenery and doing things outside the flashy touristic things everyone does. It’s not flashy and not crowded(Unless more and more catch wind how wonderful this place is) Its humble, beautiful and gives you a moment to reflect the entire beauty of the island.

We echo everything said here on Unilocal — LAF is a great experience for kids. We brought our 2 and 3 year old boys and they loved it. It’s very accessible, and all of the animals are tame and friendly. Our boys were loving it as they fed and pet miniature horses, a pig aptly named«Happy,» a bunch of chickens, and even a baby goat. We could hardly pry them away from the pond, where they were feeding the talapia and catching tadpoles. The tortoises were also a big hit. Our guide, Nis, was, knowledgeable, friendly and just as sweet as the passion fruits she plucked off of the trees and let us sample. She was able to explain how the farm works, and how the animals all work together to form a sustainable ecosystem — using words that our little ones could understand. They absolutely loved their time there and wanted to know when we could go back. See you next time, LAF!

One of the neatest experiences had in a while! We took our three Grandkids today thinking it would be great for them; well it was, and for us as well! Our guide was kind and outgoing with a wealth of knowledge about the animals which added to the experience. When the tour ended and we had gotten in our car we were already being quizzed about we could come back. Best hour and a half we’ve spent in quite awhile. Well worth your time, the location and the facilities are excellent!

What a beautiful place. Nis was our guide as she gave us a tour of the property and all the animals that call it home. It’s a great and educational way to spend the morning with the kiddies. Both my 8 year old and 4 year old enjoyed their time at Lahaina Animal Farm very much, we will be back next year! Thank you again Nis, and Teresa: you have a little piece of Heaven up there. Mahalo!

Wanted a fun kid friendly experience for our first family vacation, and boy did we hit the jackpot! The view heading to the farm was awesome, it was very up close and personal experience with the animals, but in a safe environment. The tour guide was so friendly and welcoming that she made my kids feel so comfortable. This will definitely be an experience they will keep talking about for months to come.

Great little farm for a morning getaway from the beach and sun. The tour guide was great and the kids get to feed the animals and learn at the same time. The horses and donkeys are very well kept. The view is beautiful as well. Highly recommended to mix it up a little for kids on the island. Bonus — samples of organically grown fruit from the farm, treasure hunt and tortoise race!

Not your typical petting zoo. This was a personalized educational tour of the farm. Our host Niece was extremely accommodating. We also were able to take home some fresh papaya and lilikoi. They have a neat setup and the kids had a great time. The farm has horses, donkeys, miniature horses, goats, pigs, many chickens, ducks, a fish pond with frogs, even tortoises. They sell their own honey too. We got to feed the animals, spray the pigs, fish for tadpoles and watch the tortoises race for some papaya. All around fun for everyone

We saw a random flyer in Lahiana for the Animal Farm and thought we would take the family up to pet a few fuzzy critters. What we got was WAY better than just a pen full of sheep and goats(which is kinda what we were expecting, lbh). The Animal Farm was full on critter petting, holding, feeding, and spraying(yes, the pigs liked to be sprayed with water) extravaganza! The staff is very knowledgable, explaining to us every detail about the animals that they raise and care for. The types of animals that were available to receive our pettings: –mini horses –donkeys –full size horses –pigs –bunnies –chickens –baby chickens –turtles –frogs –goats –sheep –ducks The tour/petting-FEST lasted for about 2 hours — well worth the small amount that we paid for entry($ 24 per person). Highway recommended to anyone who loves to pet the heck out of some awesome(and very tame) animals!

This place is AWESOME! What a great field trip, I had my preschool visit today to reinforce our Animal Unit, to the Lahaina Animal Farm! If when in Lahaina, I definitely recommend visiting the Lahaina Animal Farm with your keiki(children) for private events and/or as part of your vacation experience to Maui. To all the locals, this is an awesome, hands-on, farm to visit with your keiki that will leave lasting memories, and I’m almost positive, there’s a kama’aina discount :). Each staff member knew detailed information about the animals breed, history, and more! DONOTFORGETTHECAMERA! Here are a few methods to contact the farm for further info and reservations-Website: .
