My family and I went into the shop and was greeted by Betsy, she was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a blast snorkeling. definitely go back again :)

We went to the Kahana Gateway Center location but I can’t find it on Unilocal.I worked with both Rick & Betsy and they were wonderful to work with. I rented snorkeling gear for me & my husband. I had to return to change my mask & it was easy, fast & hassle free. The next day I went in to rent an underwater camera & Rick was incredibly helpful, made sure to go through the camera functions to make sure I understood them, and was efficient in getting me out the door. The next day I called to ask if I could keep the camera for an extra day & he said yes and suggested that I come in to check the battery. I did go in & they also downloaded the first batch of photos & video on a disc to free up space for me. When I asked him about one of the cameras they sold he was very knowledgeable about it. The prices for the rentals were very reasonable & the process fast & easy. Above all, Betsy & Rick were so personable & friendly & fun to talk to that I felt like I was chatting w/friends. They will always get my business when we travel to Maui! Thank you for such a great experience!

Always a great experience with Maui dive shop. We just returned from the Lanai Cathedral dive and it was amazing! The dive was incredibly beautiful! The staff was top notch, boat was nice, food was good, and it was a great time overall! We had to rent some gear last minute which was no problem at all and they offered very reasonable prices. Great experience and we will definitely be going on another charter with them soon!

This review is based on the selection and products as well as the customer service. We came in to check out the selection at the dive shop and there were a few employees there. Two gentlemen and a woman. I started browsing around the women’s section and my husband was looking at the men’s section. We noticed they had a decent selection of clothing and gear, all were the normal marked up prices and very little to nothing in the sale department. I looked for someone to help me and eventually found the woman running around. I asked the woman a few questions and looked at me like I was the biggest pain the rear — ever. I brushed it off, tried to make a joke and then continued on my way. I ended up finding a dress I liked and took it up to the register where she was. She did not acknowledge me until I was standing in front of her for 30 seconds and said hi again. She pretended to make small talk in the worst way ever, not smiling, no eye contact, short, abrupt answers and quite an attitude. I am a huge supporter of local businesses and businesses in general, however, when the customer service is that bad, it’s really difficult for me to give a positive rating. The two stars are for the clothing and products.

Great diving, fantastic boat and great gear. The pickup from the hotel in the morning makes it so much easier. The staff is very knowledgeable and safety was a high priority in our dive. Looking forward to my next dive!

The people who work here need to take a chill pill and leave people alone while they’re shopping. Some lady with a blond bowl cut(think Tommy Boy) kept following me around while I was shopping, pretending she was straightening things up and just watching me like a hawk. I had a cross body bag on no bigger than 5×7 inches, now seriously WTF could I possibly shove in there? Their prices are ridiculous too. I had to laugh. They had a 3+ year old Rip Curl towel(I know because I had it over three years ago) for $ 50.00. $ 50, really? And people actually are stupid enough to pay that for old ass back stock. Update your inventory and leave people the hell alone if you want them to spend money there.

Thanks again for a very nice/safe dive trip. Great job driving Captain Nicole & thanks for a great/safe dive Robbie. One thing to add to your safety briefings is to remind everyone to share what the dive master points out — look & then move on so all have a chance to view — some have a tendency to hog the viewing opportunities. I showed up solo to the Maui dive shop to do my certification dives after my SCUBA training in Portland. I was excited but a little nervous, expecting to jump off a boat with a pile of other people and an instructor. I was delighted to learn upon my arrival that I was the only one scheduled with my instructor for all 4 dives, and that instructor, Cory Harner, proceeded to teach, me, nourish my confidence and introduce me to an incredible undersea world full of whale songs, turtles, eagle rays, barracuda, beautiful reef and multitudes of fish. We had a great rapport and his love of diving and his sharp intelligence, humor and capability made me feel incredibly safe. I love diving now and can’t wait for more. Thanks Cory!

Would give it 0 stars if I could. Vacationing on Maui and riding my bike, stopped in to get some air in my tire. Right when I walked in with my bike the woman there looked at me like I had shoved dog feces in her face and told me to leave my bike outside. Although they sell bikes, any bike shop would have greeted me and asked what I was looking for. This is clearly not a bike-friendly shop, but should they be rude to potential customers? First time in Maui. Always wanted to be a marine biologist. With my 70+parents. These folks(David…) were very helpful and chill, with getting us set up for great use of our time here. Recommendations on where to go each day, snorkeling for them and scuba for me. Rented wetsuits for them, full gear for me, bought some fins. I appreciated how they thought through what would be the best way to spend our $ given various purchase and rental options between them and our hotel — just like I’d do for a friend and his parents visiting me in Venice Beach, CA. That’s exactly what I want while on a remote vacation.

**3.5STARS** Came in here looking for some rash guards(sleeveless) so I wouldn’t turn lobster red for SUPping… BINGO! They don’t really have a lot of variety but the sis and me were fortunate enough to find some with our sizes. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.

Went here during the Maui trip and it did not disappoint. The place seems like it’s for the regulars and experts but they are very nice to newbies and tourists, which we were. We were looking for swimming goggles and I was looking for a rashguard. The owner personally recommended a specific goggle style for us. At the cashier he saw my Cardinals cap and told the cool story of how met Albert Pujols a few years ago. As it turned out, the goggles didn’t work for us. They were larger goggles that sealed around the nose. For us Asians, we don’t have the large bridges so goggles that seal here simply don’t work. Even though they say there are no cash refunds, we explained the situation and they gladly let us exchange for more normal goggles(which were awesome) and gave us a full refund on the difference. The people here are very patient and helpful. Unlike so many places around America, these guys seem to care about every customer and don’t get impatient with us noobs.
