This is one of my favorite spots! I have been coming here regularly for the last 5 years. All the aunties who work here are super sweet, and the owner Herald can often be seen sitting out front at the picnic table in the mornings. This place is tiny, hidden down in a little industrial neighborhood, and can be easy to miss. It is far from fancy, and pretty much a hole in the wall.(The best places usually are.) There is no sign except for the hours on the outside of the door, look for an old mixer turned planter and a open screen door. If you get lost you can ask anyone in the area and they will point you in the right direction. They are only open from 5am –11:30am unless they sell out early. Which they do. They are closed on Sunday. Get there early. The Bakery has all kinds of danishes, donuts, malasadas, cookies, macaroons, tarts, bagels, croissants, breads, rolls, and incredible pies during the holidays. Make sure you order your pie early! The macadamia nut pie is out of this world! They will make the croissants and bagels into sandwiches for you, or toast them with butter or cream cheese if you’d like. They also have coffee! I love buying the shortbread cookies, getting strawberries from Kula Farms and making strawberry shortcake. So amazing! Their bread makes the yummiest sandwiches, and to top it all off the prices are very reasonable! Street parking is available, and you can walk down to the old train station if you want a nice place to sit and enjoy your goodies.

Had my first MALASADAS and FELLINLOVE! this place was a tad hard to find(the sign was small and by a door). Hole in the wall bakery. They have over 100 selections to choose from. Plain Donuts, masaladas, croissant sandwich, bread, cookies. Prices are very inexpensive, perfect for a quick breakfast, snack. Definitely worth to come here.

Love how affordable this place is. Most donuts were about $ 2 – 2.50. We got a little bit of everything(glaze donut, chocolate glaze, cinnamon twist, cheese Danish and a crème and raspberry). I loved the cheese Danish. My children loved all the other donuts. We fed our family of 8 for $ 14

I was disappointed. Reading all the good things about this place. I tried some of their malasadas. It was heavy and not tasteful. It didnt compare to the ones i tried at the town party from mauisadas. Those were light, fluffy and sweet. I cpuld if eaten a whole dozen by myself. I also got the egg crossiant and the spinach crossiant. They were not great also. It also a cash only. Parking was hard to find.

The Bakery makes tasty baked goods! Their scones and cookies are great and their health bread is fantastic!!! They are old school in a good way… ambiance(if you can call it that) is industrial bakery. Love it! Get there early because they’ve been up all night and close 11:30am.

Old school baked goods done right! Bagels, baguettes mini upside-down pineapple cakes and delicious Donuts. Get here early cause they sell out quickly and they only take cash. This is a hidden gem that you don’t want to miss out on.

My parents always took us here as kids. My parents are Vietnamese, so of course we LOVE our usage of French Bread(they’re so fresh here!). They would use them for Banh Mi, Breakfast(w/Eggs & Some meat), Beef Stew(YUMMMY) and my mom would dip her hot french bread into condensed milk & eat it like that. The place is small, and is hard to find. If you’re on Highway 30(Honoapiilani Highway) you’re going to want to drive to Lahaina and find«Pizza hut» turn into that street, but instead of going to Pizza Hut’s driveway, go straight and take a right at the stop sign. When you get on that street, the bakery is right after the FIRST intersection, BEFORE the dead end at the end. It’s litterally a screen door for the entrance & a few picnic tables, but you can smell the bread from otuside! They have all sorts of goodies, but we only came for bread. I like their croissants here too, as well as their turkey sandwiches. Yummy. I will have to go back to maui and try the sweets now lol.

Very good malasadas. Yummy. Loved them. Donuts were good, but malasadas were wonderful. Ours had custard. Liked it as much as Leonard’s in Honolulu. There was not even a line there. We visited around 7:30AM on a Wednesday. This place is cash only and picnic tables outside. We took ours to the beach and watched the waves while we ate.

This is a functioning bakery so… it’s not cute inside. There’s no seating. They open early and sell out of everything and Only take cash. If you’re ok with all that, this is the best baked goods I’ve ever eaten. Both the sweet and savory stuff is amazing. We went here 3 days during our week on Maui.

came by to check out the malasadas however they did not have any of the one’s pictured in the review only 1 that was filled with custard. I think the photos may be old because they did not have a big variety and I was there at 6am baked goods okay around $ 2 ea but nothing exciting. if your in the area stop in otherwise not worth the drive from the resort area.

My husband and I stopped here 4 times while on our trip to Maui. Our favorites were the malasadas, coconut macroon(must try), cronut(croissant and donut filled with a delicious cream), chocolate croissant, apple muffin, and the french toast. It’s tricky to find. Look for a small bakery sign on a metal screen door. Bring cash since they don’t take credit cards. We would grab some goodies here then find a nearby beach park to eat them at. Go early since they do sell out of certain items. I’m only docking a star for ambiance and messy interior.

Specially made to order wedding cake, delicately decorated with roses for our small Japanese family wedding and again for the 1st anniversary celebration. Beautiful to look at and tasty to our palate.

Best bakery on Maui and I’ve yet to have a better raisin cinnamon roll. My parents started taking us here when we were four and 30 years later we still come back every time we’re on the island. The rolls don’t last past around 8am so I recommend calling them the day before and ordering however many you want. Cash only, local run but tourist friendly, awesome baguettes.

Went there looking for malasadas, didn’t get those but did get some amazing other sweets sticky bun melts in your mouth and chocolate filled pastry that was large enough to share. Definitely a local place as many locals came in while we were there. Don’t plan on eating it there it’s for the road no chairs and tables. Like a few other reviews the door faces the street we almost missed it other then bakery sign on open door.

Take note of the time that it opens… Pretty nice to have a place open this early when you’re visiting and aren’t used the time difference yet! It was nice to go inside and see them baking. The coffee was just what I needed and they also had bagels here. I ended up getting these cookies that had a little bit of fruit in them and they were delicious.

Meh. Came here specifically for masaladas. They were ok, but not the best that I have ever had. Just be aware that they are a bit too dry and the powdered sugar will get EVERYWHERE. Place was very hard to find and in my opinion not very inviting. Parking is on the street next to a bunch of warehouses. They had other baked goods available. They only take cash so be prepared.

First thing first Tartines(SF) or Boulanger(Napa) it is not. Its a direct from-oven-to-the-counter type asian bakery. It opens at 530a and has the same 3 old men outside of it drinking coffee eating pastry in the morning. There are also loaves of fresh baked bread — batards, baguettes etc. The good — Its reasonably priced The bad — Cash only Blow by Blow Upside down pineapple cake — My fave the cake has a pound cake like texture. If you take out the cherry it is not too coyingly sweet. French Toast Custard — soaked in syrup, its big enough for a hearty breakfast meal on its own Dinner roll — crunch on the outside, airy in the inside. yummy when fresh Donuts(with no holes, could be masaladas) — they were ok Jam tart — its jam in the middle… no fruit in sight Taro Bun — the least fave. It is a bun with purple coloring. Move on.

Yes, hard to find. From the 30 turn on to Hinau St(by the Sugar Train). Then right to The Bakery. Very small place, big selection, baking done on site. Tried a variety of things from donuts to pastries. All were good but not great.(I am from a place with lots of great bakeries!). The best place is this joint is affordable.

The toughest part will be to find this hidden gem. The entrance isn’t where you’d think it should be(the front). It’s actually around the back, but you’ll be more than pleased when you do find the entrance. I typically stop by early in the morning, so I can pick my favorites before they run out later in the day. I love pastries, so that’s what I typically get. First and foremost, you have to try the french toast pastry. It’s ooey, gooey and absolutely delicious. My other favorites are their croissants(plain and chocolate), danishes, donuts, cinnamon rolls… heck, they’re all really good. I also like their croissant sandwiches too. I haven’t tried everything yet, but give me time and I’m sure I’ll get there eventually. What better way to start your day, than a delicious pastry… just awesome!
