Very expensive for mediocre food in my opinion. But the view during sunset is amazing. I had the mahi mahi tacos which were semi dry. thank goodness for the spicy mayo. Then i shared their signature burger the da kine which was overly disappointing. Comparatively, ive had plenty better burgers in NY. The beef wss dry coarse and overcooked. Their pineapple mustard was a tasteless mash rather than saucy. I actually had to add ketchup to give it some flavor and ease the swallowing process. The best thing i had was the tiger shrimp. No complaints there as shrimp was very nicely cooked. Wouldnt come again unless i was starving.

Maybe because of the swimming in the salty ocean the burger was tasteless. … for the claim of «the best burger on the island»… chicken should be the island’s choice. The fish tacos were edible.

Strong drinks, friendly bartenders, and food looked and smelled great. Great view of the lighting and cliff dive at Black Rock every evening.

The Mai Tais are good and strong and smoothies are excellent. The hot wings were a bit bland but the meat peeled right off the bone. The Da Kine burger is excellent.

The first day going here started off well, server was attentive and very friendly. Since we are staying here at the hotel we returned everyday after that and the service went down hill. We didn’t get greeted for at least 10 minutes and when it had rained, we did not get our tables wiped off for us. It’s unfortunate that the service is poor for such a fun hotel. The food was good if you eat meat but there was one veggie option(nachos) or you could just pay $ 14 for a small caesar salad… Yeah right. Also, the drinks are way over priced and would purchase elsewhere for the strength. However, the evening show is fun to watch once.

Only thing this place is good for is the view and snorkeling if you’re willing to brave the crowds it draws. Stopped in for lunch the other day, five of us just under $ 200, avoid the fish tacos unless you want the shits due to the crappy fish. I just made it to the Westin with the runs after eating there and my boys complained of stomach cramps and the same thing a little bit later.

Was just looking for a light dinner on the Sheraton property, and decided to stop in for the view. That didn’t disappoint– the food did. Relatively limited menu, which makes sense, but that should give the grill a better opportunity to perfect the dishes they do carry. Only two salad options, went with the Caesar and ended up with stale croutons(I didn’t even know croutons went stale). Server was very attentive and friendly, but didn’t make up for the sub par dinner

Solid 2 stars… Super expensive for store-bought, out-of-the-bag food. I got the fish tacos — Wheat tortillas(what? Why?), shredded craft cheese, some kind of mayo based sauce, and browned lettuce. Typical resort food… semi-authentic themed menu, but with low quality, store bought ingredients. Gnar.

Wow wish I could give it a negative star. Only reason we came here was to watch the cliff diving ceremony and maybe get a drink & some grub while doing so. Big mistake. Drinks were TERRIBLE, I mean how do you mess up a Mai tai in Maui? It was so bad I returned it and got a glass of wine. We immediately decided to go ahead and make a reso at hula grill instead, because that was not a good sign. But since we were starving at the moment decided to try the kalua pork nachos… Ugh it was worse than what you’d get at baseball games. It wasn’t even real cheese and the meat tasted funny. We left as soon as we could and had an excellent meal + drinks at Hula Grill down the street. If you want to check out the ceremony go to the beach at 5:30 and it’s only 15 min anyway.

Location is a 5. Food is 3.5. I enjoyed my da’kine burger. It was good but not $ 19 good(so pricey!) Wasn’t overwhelmed by the drinks. No fries, so sandwiches are served with chips. Staff was friendly. This is the best casual place to eat at the hotel. It is overlooking the beach so it is the perfect place to watch the ocean, sunset and the cliff dive ceremony.

My husband and I didn’t order their normal lunch items, but we can definitely vouch for their tiger prawns and spicy chicken wings appetizers! We both agree that the Black Rock Mai Tai is better than the other one(I forgot the name, but it’s supposed to be the special of the place). We’re staying at the Sheraton, so we’ll definitely be back before we go home!

Sauntered over here to watch the sunset and decided to grab some grub. I honestly would not mind coming back here if I ever need a safe bet for a meal :) Pineapple mango smoothie $ 7 — this was delicious! Well I mean, it’s a bit expensive for a small cup but I’m a tourist on an island so what can I say. Up Country Kula Kale Salad $ 12 — kale, wild rice, quinoa, cucumber, tomato, sun-dried cranberry, beets, tossed in lemon honey vinaigrette. SOYUM! This has basically all the ingredients I love so naturally I had to order this. I think I can eat this all day with some tomato soup and baguette or grilled cheese. Actually, I think I can add this to the list of things I can eat alone for the rest of my life. The burger is a solid A in my book. It was $ 14 to start and since there’s 2 premium toppings added that’s $ 2 each. The beef was juicy and very flavorful, the Maui onions are of course the best, and the buns were good because it didn’t get soggy. Needless to say the view was spectacular! It’s an amazing location right by Black Rock. Quick by the way, the sun does not set at 5:30. More like 7. Haha so don’t go too soon or just expect to sit there for a while. The service was okay, nothing outstanding. I don’t know if it’s because it was because it is a busy time or what but pretty much our order was taken, food was served, we asked for our check and we left right after.

Great drinks with happy hour deals during afternoon and late night. This bar is located right in the center of the pool area of the resort. Whether you sit at the bar or one of the tables, you get views of the ocean and can even watch the cliff diver ceremony. The staff is always friendly and the mixed drinks are great. Maui Mist and White Water were my faves! The food selection is limited but tasty. The food does have the typical resort pricing so we didn’t eat much there but definitely enjoyed the happy hours! Its a great spot to walk up and pick up some drinks to take back to your room or enjoy on your lounge chair poolside too.

for all the dining options at the Sheraton maui, the cliff dive bar ended up being my favorite. there were always seats available, both outside in the sun and underneath the overhang. the food took a bit of time to get to the table, but the waitstaff did come around quickly with drinks in the meantime. one of my favorite dishes was the grilled tiger shrimp appetizer. it came with about 4 big shrimp atop a delicious Asian slaw. I also really liked the chicken wings with a teriyaki glaze and also served over slaw. everyone who got burgers and sandwiches also really enjoyed them and the waitress gave us extra sides of slaw and the delicious pineapple relish. the drink menus is really good, although pricey but there is a happy hour from about 2 – 4 that reduces each drink to $ 8. the drinks are fruity, refreshing, and the right balance of alcohol to round out a great lunch at the beach.

Over the past week, my family has eaten here every day. So as I write this review, it’s based on numerous experiences. Overall, this is a good spot. I can honestly say that we all enjoyed the food and drinks. The burgers, the chicken and mahi mahi sandwiches, the salads — they were all quite yummy! No complaints on the food. The service is friendly although it can get very busy here. Sometimes food can take up to 20 minutes to arrive. That was the longest we waited. Shortest wait time was 5 minutes. Also, it’s a beautiful oceanfront resort and the prices are higher than average. That should be expected. The grill station is outdoors next to the bar and you can watch them freshly make your burgers, etc. I liked that aspect. It can get busy around 6pm right after the Cliff Dive ceremony. It’s first come, first serve, and sometimes tables are at a premium and you have to stake out who’s getting ready to leave.

The sunset presentation was so cool! And I would highly recommend the white water beverage… it was one of the best tropical drinks I had on the island. The nachos were decent but my daughters cornbread was burnt on the bottom.

Cliff Dive is your basic resort pool bar/restaurant with amazing ambiance, friendly service, and overpriced food. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the food here was actually pretty tasty and came in a good quantity to help offset the ridiculous price. Wanting a light lunch while spending the day at the pool, my husband and I shared the skewer trio. $ 41 for three skewers seemed absurd but the skewers are quite gigantic with huge chunks of meat. One trio order was easily enough for 2 of us. We tried the chicken, steak, and shrimp skewers and all 3 were excellent. Grilled to absolute perfection, even the chicken was moist and tasty. The trio also comes with 2 sides and the salad and chips and dip were great. Still overpriced, but you’re at least getting pretty good quality food that is cooked well. The view is spectacular and the outdoor seating is right by the pool. Just watch out for the wind if you choose to sit poolside. We ended up with quite a few napkins and potato chips flying away.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was at the Sheraton Maui, especially at Cliff Dive Bar! We had planned to eat elsewhere as much as possible during our stay, assuming the food would be sub-par resort food, but were proven wrong. My husband had the pulled pork BBQ sandwich and I had a chicken skewer. Both were tasty, but the best part was the kimchee miso aioli… SOGOOD! I had to fight my husband over it — he kept dunking his sandwich in it. Not fair! I came home from the trip hoping to find a recipe for it online, but so far no luck. I’ll be dreaming about that sauce… Yes, it is pricey, but that is to be expected in Hawaii. I would have preferred my mai tai to cost less than $ 11, but what are you going to do? I’ll tell ya, you’re going to order a $ 11 mai tai and happily sip on it while watching the torch lighting ceremony at sunset — that’s what you’re going to do!
