We went to the one in wailea and the lava fudge was to die for. Delicious mix of flavors and the size will last a while. The store was hidden in a complex off of kihei road.

LOVE the coconut chocolate fudge! My husband said the vanilla ice cream was the best ever too! Mahalo!

It’s a long story about how we came to buy fudge at The Hawaii Fudge Company, but we owned my mother-in-law some fudge after she didn’t get any while we were in Hershey, PA. End of digression… thanks for bearing with me. Anyway, we discovered this tiny little shop nestled in a bank of merchants on Front St. in Lahaina. It’s a little hidden, but they do have pretty good signage and sometimes you can smell the chocolate from the fresh fudge as you walk by. I feel that the prices were very fair for the large, pre-sliced hunks of fudge. The standard«hunk» will last a long time, and they include a tiny little taster spoon inside the box, which allows for judicious snacking without getting your grubby hands on the hunk of fudge. There is a very large variety of flavors, from your standard chocolate, peanut butter, etc., to more wanderlust-inducing names, such as «Road to Hana»(their version of Rocky Road), and«Lava Flow,» with a striking streak of red woven throughout the deep, dark chocolate. They also have a crazy-delicious Cookies and Cream flavor, which I highly recommend, in addition to the Road to Hana and the classic chocolate fudge flavors. The store clerk will give you a sample or two if you ask for them, but they definitely don’t whore them out constantly like some fudge shops are wont to do. There isn’t any room for lolly-gagging after you’ve purchased your fudge, as it’s a tiny shop with only enough room for a couple of customers, the cash register, and the fudge display area, but you can take your purchases to go, and either save for later if you have the willpower to do so, or use that baby spoon to enjoy little slivers of sweetness as your stroll along the Lahaina waterfront.

Wow. The orange crème fudge is out of this world. It’s worth looking for since it’s a small place(by the shaved ice store). Plus, I’d never tried traditional Hawaiian coconut candy. It was one of the highlights of our day.
