Best place to eat at the Hyatt. Not pretentious, good service, nice lunch and snack menu. Nice outdoor location. Food quality was consistently very good.

This place had a lot of choices. The Korean Tacos was yummy. The seating was outdoor and by the pool so it was a nice spot. It was the most inexpensive place to eat at the Hyatt. Service was very good.

We came here for a late lunch on the first day we arrived to Maui. It was the only restaurant opened late in the afternoon at the Hyatt. It’s located right near the beach and the pool with several TVs and a bar. The food was decent but it’s pricey. We ordered the Kalua pork nachos, the Korean beef tacos, and a smoothie and our bill was close to $ 50. The menu is extensive with bar food, sandwiches, burgers, local favorites, and a variety of drinks. They also have servers who serve poolside so it’s convenient. Our service had great customer service. Basically, you pay for the convenience of the location and for it being located right on hotel grounds.

For a $ 40 steak, I wasn’t all too impressed. The meat itself was fine and was cooked perfectly, but the mushrooms were essentially raw and there were no caramelized onions to be found, even though they were listed in the entrée description. The potatoes were supposedly roasted garlic mashed, but tasted like the average redskin mashed. Presentation was nice, but there was probably half a cup of demi glacé floating around on my plate. Overkill. Also– you’d expect not to have your $ 16 cocktail served in a plastic cup, wouldn’t you? No can do, but cocktail SAUCE on the other hand comes in a glass. Lol. Our server was friendly but was definitely just trying to deal with her tables rather than provide an experience. It was very clean and is located nicely by the water.

I really liked the place. Open seating, casual, and something for everyone. I got the Cobb salad with Mahi. Make sure to ask for dressing on the side Tables were full and nice atmosphere — all outdoor seating. The mosquitos started attacking toward the end of the meal.

Service was impeccable. Nesi our server was amazing! We were here for several days and she was extremely sweet, remembered our names, things we liked, so friendly and it felt like she knew us for years. She is the perfect employee for any company to have. The food was great as well. Best sliders were had anywhere, the Mai Tai’s are everything they’re touted to be. Ask for Nesi and you won’t be disappointed.

Appetizers were HUGE. Very tasty. Burger was nicely done as well. It is part of the Hyatt Regency Hotel but welcomes anyone. It was nice for lunch but I wouldn’t recommend for dinner. Better places down the walkway for that.

The drink of the day is the best to get at this poolside bar as it would be the least expensive but still really good. Most drinks are $ 12 and up but the drink of the day is $ 8. The Kulua Pork Nachos are really good but all the other stuff is regular pub food.

Had drinks and lunch here the other day. The kaluha pork fries were amazing! And the Korean beef tacos with the siracha aioli were delicious! They also have a great cocktail menu with fantastic island drinks. Danny was an awesome server, very attentive-as well as the rest of the waitstaff, very friendly and helpful. Food is a little pricey, but if you’re on vacation and sitting feet away from the ocean-you can count on the food being expensive. Worth it. Will definitely eat here again.

The Ahi Salad is the perfect lunch for sharing. Blend of flavors and textures with 2 light dressings: Wasabi and Mango Vinaigrette. We’ve had it 3 times this trip and will have it at least 4 when we are back in Feb :)

Typical corporate Hyatt food– such garbage. A. $ 38 entrée of ahi(I doubt it’s local fresh caught today) on top of a round of rice and four not ripe asparagus– just a monolith of flavor and texture. Another dish we ordered was the volcano ahi, more uninteresting flavors on top of bad lettuce. Sweet potato fries– a huge portion of frozen sweet potato fries — just boring and bad. We also had mahi mahi and rice that was apparently acceptable to our third diner. I know– the Hyatt has you– you don’t feel like going off property and you are captive. I wouldn’t head back to this spot or any of Hyatt’s offerings after this. What a poor effort Hyatt –you can do better but will you. Really, I feel sick.

Been here at least 20 times in many visits to Maui, great service, unreal drinks, I recommend the Mutiny drink for sure. Angus sliders are out of this world as are the boneless buffalo chicken and the pizza is delicious. The bar staff is super friendly and service is impeccable, and even though I come maybe every 6 months they remember me every time. Lastly this is like the only place in this resort area that actually is open till midnight and serves food till then also, this is a must for anyone coming to Kaananpali Beach are resorts!!!

This garners four stars based on the Nachos. Oh my, they were grande indeed. The pulled pork nachos were crazy good. It came with multicolored really salty(the way I like them) chips layered with multiple great things like sour cream, guac, a fabulous roasted salsa we got an additional side of, olives, green peppers and this psuedo velveeta like cheese product that made one gooey fabulous mess. I know it is poolside but drinking a margarita from a plastic cup makes me testy. So does being in a beautiful place with wall to wall tall cement buildings all clamoring for a ½ mile of what was a pristine beach. But love those nachos!

Came here twice since we stay at the Hyatt. I order a to go the first time. The drink is light, had a slider and nacho. Slider is not bad. Nacho doesn’t taste as good. Came back at night because the gym was flooded, Had some drinks. Overall it’s ok. Nothing special, would want some peanut for the drinks would be good to get us to drink more but the again the drink is pretty light.

Such a convenient place to have lunch when on property. After a nice swim or walk on the beach, you can roam into this great area to grab a bite to eat. Then open at 11am and offer a nice assortment of lunch and kids meal. The kids meal seem very reasonable. We ordered kalua pig nachos which was packed with the pork, guacamole, olives, cheese and salsa, hummus, fried beans,(slightly spicy) lunch for the kids and ended with a scrumptious chocolate cake. The service seems like a hit or miss so far. The first time the waitress was horrible. Second time, another waitress was very kind and pleasant. Overall, a good simple place!

I’m not going to lie, I was impressed by the quality of the food that we came to have dinner here twice. Perfect for the kiddos as well(crayons and something to color on was provided along with a kids menu). Food: Grassfed burger with grilled mushrooms and onions — Burger was cooked exactly how I asked, served on a pretzel bun. Its the type of burger that gets all over the place, so obviously it belongs in your face! lol I say it was close to a 1⁄3 of a pound or more, great flavors and perfect size. The pickle on the side was simply a bonus. Furikake Fries(seaweed, sesame, garlic) — It tasted more like garlic fries with furikake seasoning sprinkled all over it. Wife was hesitant to order this but after trying one, she couldn’t stop eating them. The fresh garlic gave it a kick which was a nice surprise. Inbetween a wedge and a regular size fry, these were pretty awesome and the servicing size was large enough to share. The wasabi ranch dipping sauce was also a zinger! Fish and Chips — Fluffy yet crunchy batter, fish tasted fresh and was flaky. Only wish there were 3 pieces instead of 2! Either way, these didn’t last long! Slider Trio — Blackened Ahi, Kalua Pulled Pork, and a grassfed burger with blue-cheese I believe. All were unique, bold flavors, perfect cook and seasoning. Definitely filling for a «appetizer» and could be eaten as a main entrée. Favorite out of the three was the blackened ahi. Great sear on the fish, nice and thick, pink in the middle. Ceviche — I’m used to the mexican ceviche, so this one had a twist. Something inside of this made it have a hint of sweetness. Not bad, just different. I would probably pass on this one. Mac n Cheese(kids) — super cheesy, my daughter loved it! Service was great, even though they are under staffed during the sunset/evening hours. We even witnessed the chef come out of the kitchen and walked around to each table asking how the food was. The ONLY thing that sucked was the prices… most entrees started at $ 17, but for the quality that you’re getting, it was worth it.

I had a decent cheeseburger here. It was large and filling but made me walk a few miles after the meal to get rid of that uncomfortable too full feeling. The server needs some lessons in manners and how to take an order. I was basically rattling off what I wanted on my burger and was interrupted when she said, «Hun, that comes with it». I said I can read, but I don’t want the pickle and I would also like some mustard with it. First of all for you servers out there, I don’t like being called Hun. Just keep it professional and say Sir. And of course my burger came with this big ass pickle. I’m sure the F & B guy would have loved to save a little on the food costs. The beer was just okay and not very cold. Hyatt needs to make sure that the beer is chilled.

We came for an afternoon drink and later a nightcap. ATMOSPHERE: The former Pavilion self-service buffeteria is now a more upscale eatery. Gone thankfully is that nasty sandbox floor where the tables are, replaced by normal tile/stone work. The colors are bold. The umbrellas were torn and tattered. It’s located poolside which is convenient. The bar is pretty big and has great views of the pool and ocean. MENU: Burgers, sandwiches, salads. BEVERAGE: Heineken — Boring, I know, but I’m a beer guy. SERVICE: Our female server was friendly, professional, and attentive. OVERALL: Pricey, but what resort isn’t? Nice ambiance, good service.
