Delish! Everything I try taste fantastic and could become a favorite. From their Cobb salad, BLT with egg or veggie burger… its all so good. I work close by, so Ill even pick up yp something for dinner.

Cute little restaurant in Peddler’s Village. Stopped in for breakfast and everyone left happy and stuffed. Breakfast sandwich with eggs, smoked bacon, avocado, and cheese on a brioche bun was great, the fried chicken special sandwich was awesome(although the piece of chicken was a little too big), the breakfast burrito was simple but good and we also had the dollar pancakes and they were also tasty! It’s a little country style restaurant in one room and the other side of the restaurant you can order food at the counter. The service was also very nice, attentive and friendly. Great little spot to stop in for breakfast in Peddler’s.

My favorite spot for a quick lunch or dinner in Lahaska. Chive offers a great selection of sandwiches and salads and I am always happy with my choice. We have used them for catering on two occasions and received rave reviews from our guests. Only complaint is that their method of service always seems to be changing-sometimes you order at the counter, sometimes at your table, sometimes they grab drinks for you, and sometimes you get them on your own-never know what to do when I go in!

Stopped for lunch on a walk through Peddlers Village. Looked like a nice local café and just a bit less tacky than some of the other eating choices in the village. Wife and daughter each picked specialty sandwiches on baguettes. Leg of lamb on one and a prosciutto/mozzarella/pesto mix for the other. Generous size so a half of each headed home. I had the short rib chili. Very tasty. A rich tomato based chili with beans, cheese and sour cream. Pleasant service, reasonable prices and a nice location. Glad we found this place.

Superb choice for lunch if you’re spending time in the Peddler’s Village. The Chive Café has a concise lunch menu featuring soups, salads and sandwiches, perhaps 20 options total. While it’s not the most diverse/extensive menu out there, it’s a solid option for the area and the food quality was reasonably good. Service was excellent. Our table got a Cobb salad, roasted turkey sandwich with avocado and bacon, a BLT, fries, and a chicken, spinach and egg soup. I tasted a bit of everything and can say that each dish was well above average. The sandwiches were good(I believe the turkey is roasted in house), fries were fresh and awesome, the salad was well made. Oh, that reminds me; my favorite part of the meal was the panko crusted, deep fried artichoke hearts that came with the salad. I could have easily eaten 50 of those. Absolutely delicious. One minor downside was the chicken in the soup. While the flavor was good, I could have sworn the meat was from a can. To be fair, perhaps they just overcooked it somewhat. Who knows. Just a minor gripe, anyway and it certainly didn’t detract from an overall great lunch. Total with tip and drinks for 4 people was $ 45. Not too shabby. Would definitely stop by again.

We always stop by for breakfast or lunch when we are visiting Peddler’s Village. Food is well prepared, the staff friendly and prices are reasonable. During the better weather it’s great to dine outside, under the trees, and it’s one place we can bring our small dog and dine outside. Easy parking and access from busy Route 202 and adjacent to Peddler’s Village. Casual dining.

We hit up the Chive Café in Lahaska(Peddler’s Village) today before a kids birthday party. We saw it had solid #Yelp reviews and it was a light looking menu so why not. We had 2 soups and 2 sandwiches. The top is the Roasted Leg of Lamb and Brie with tomatoes, grilled onions, and an herb mayo on a toasted baguette. The bottom was the pan fried chicken breast with sautéed spinach, sharp provolone, and a garlic aioli on a toasted baguette. Both were solid choices. The lamb better than the chicken but both very good. The Brie melted perfectly with the sweetness from the onions mixed with a soft and tender long cooked piece of sexy lamb leg. At $ 11, it’s a filling sammich to keep you from eating again. We tried the chicken noodle soup which I thought was too salty and the Short Rib Chilli which probably wasn’t salted enough and served warm instead of hot. I give it 4 Garys for its lamb leg sandwich alone but the soups could’ve been better and the side macaroni salad served with the sandwiches should’ve been left in the kitchen, or not made at all. I would definitely try another sandwich from Chive Café.

We stopped in here for a quick early dinner. The place is very cute and quaint. The staff is excellent with suggestions and very nice to our children. I love their drink options. We had two soups: the chicken noodle and the short rib chili. Both left a bit of flavor to be desired. Next were the sandwiches. The pan fried chicken sandwich was moist but could use something extra in addition to the spinach. The much recommended leg of lamb and Brie sandwich was the HIGHLIGHT. Excellent flavor from the meat, brie, tomatoes and onions — Wow! I would go back doe that alone.

Stumpled upon this café during a leisure drive through very scenic NJ&PA. VERY excited but quickly let down. Inside is nice but I payed the price. BLT was A-OK although my date ate lots of sour soup.

LOVE Chive — so happy to have something so delicious right down the road! My husband and I go here often, for everything from breakfast to dinner. Most recently, we have been doing their dinner specials, and they never disappoint. It is always something new. Personally my favorite is anything with their mac n cheese — and if you’re going for breakfast, the silver dollar pancakes are awesome. The best part of all is the folks that work there. They are so sweet and welcoming and make such an effort to get to know their customers — they really go out of their way. Keep up the work Chive, we love you guys!

Chive is a true gem in the New Hope/Lahaska/Peddlers Village area. The atmosphere is very quant and staffed with employees that truly care about your dining experience. The ingredients used are always fresh, locally sourced and prepared to perfection. If you’re looking for great food, a quant environment and friendly people Chive is a must visit. Tried: Cheddar Bacon Omelet: Fluffy real eggs, with a copious amount of bacon and cheddar cheese. Lamb Sausage(Homage), Fried Egg, Roasted Tomato’s and Feta on a Brioche Bun: What’s not to love about this sandwich with the delicate balance of flavors that tease and please your taste buds. Leg of Lamb Sandwich: Wow, this is an amazingly tasty sandwich. Nice sized chunks of tender lamb topped with brie and caramelized onions on French bread. Melts in your mouth. Skirt Steak Salad: Well-seasoned, tender slices of steak on a bed of fresh greens. — Healthy alternative. Chive Burger: A fresh, ground meat formed patties(not a frozen), minimally seasoned with cheese and sautéed onions on a fresh bun.

This place just made me want to go home and open up a shop just like it. I walked in and was immediately asked if I wanted to order food. I mentioned that I was hoping to get some tea and work, with plans to order lunch after a little while, and I was encouraged to grab a mug and serve myself!(free refills on hot water and coffee). The décor is adorable, the service incredibly friendly. I wanted to write this review before eating and ordering because I already felt so strongly that the atmosphere(calm, great for conversation, free wifi!) was on point. But I waited. Which was a great decision because I would’ve needed to follow up with another rave review. The baguette that my Tuscan sandwich was served on was EXCELLENT. Crusty, soft insides, and the sandwich fillings were great qualities. I could wax poetic about the tomatoes on this sammich. The greens were so fresh. The prosciutto was piled on, and the mozz was hearty. I love a little place that makes you feel at home, and this does the trick. I’ve been here for two hours and there’s been no pressure to pay for anything or to leave. Next time I’m in the area I’ll definitely stop by for some lunch and a little bit of office work.

As a pancake snob, it means a lot to say that the folks over at Chive Café make the BEST pancakes ever! The outer rim was toasty and sweet, overall they were fluffy and perfectly round, divinely yummy. I almost skipped out on the delicious maple syrup(the authentic stuff not that Aunt Jemima which is for those with an indiscriminate palate). The sausage links were scrumptious as well. I was surprised by this as I am usually a bacon type of gal. My companion had an omelette which was quite good. They have a nice outdoor seating and the staff is very pleasant and attentive, a perfect illustration of the general demeanor of the New Hope town’s culture. Can’t wait to visit again soon. Ps the pancakes are only available on the weekend. :-(

My parents went here a few weeks back during the peach festival and wanted to take me. As a vegetarian, I am always on the lookout for great local places with vegetarian food. This place is tiny but it’s very cute. I had the veggie burger and enjoyed picking out my own salad as a side. I had the quinoa. There were a ton of side salads to choose from. My mom order the veggie sandwich which had fried artichokes and hummus. I had half of it and it was delicious! I liked it better then my burger. The burger was good but I have had better. It needed more flavor and fell apart when I tried to eat it. I like that you can help yourself to fresh ice tea or water. We had the carrot cake for dessert and that wasn’t very good. I should have gotten the brownie. Overall, the food is fresh and the staff is very friendly. It’s very affordable and great spot for lunch.

I was at Peddler’s Village for the Peach Festival. Everything seemed so packed that I was just about to walk to my car to leave to find somewhere else to go for lunch. This place is tucked away from the main area, so I stumbled upon it. I was so happy I did! It’s a small place with indoor and outdoor seating. I chose to sit outside, being it was so nice outside. The menu isn’t huge, but it packs a bang. I noticed they serve breakfast all day, but I went for a black bean burger. It was huge and delicious. It came with a side of quinoa salad that I fell in love with. It reminded me of the seaweed salad I get when I go out for sushi, so it was a win for me. The person I was with ordered the«Chive Burger,» which was a cheeseburger with bacon essentially, but that was also equally amazing. His came with a side of handcut fries… also very very good. You can definitely tell that the food here is cared about and made with love. I will be back. For sure.

Since writing my last review I’ve not only had the opportunity to try lunch but they have also stepped up their game and started delivery which is AMAZING! Breakfast sandwiches are still really good but I’m happy to report their lunch sandwiches are also delicious. My favorite is the pan fried chicken sandwich which I believe has sautéed spinach and cheese. It’s so good. Keep it up Chive!
