Totally misrepresented and lied to! I am a soap maker myself, so I was excited to see a shop that made handmade glycerin soaps like I did. When I went in I was instantly attracted to the lilac, pumpkin and chocolate cake glycerin bars. At $ 7.99 a bar I was a tiny bit shocked since I know the process. I chalked it up to paying for the space since the area is expensive. I paid for my soaps and was happy. Until I saw something… I was walking into a shop in Bethlehem and I saw the same exact Lilac soap! What?! I thought back to when the employee at The Soap Opera(obviously not the owner) told me everything was handmade by the owner. And then I saw another shop here on Unilocal in Seattle that had… Lilac glycerin soap! Again! I did some poking around and guess what? NONEOFTHOSEGLYCERINBARSAREHANDMADEBYTHEOWNER! They are made by a company called Primal Elements. It’s a business that started in California in the 90s. They list everyone they wholesale to on their website. At least they are honest! I will go to a REAL handmade soap shop. I wouldn’t be so mad if that woman didn’t lie to me in the store all those months ago. Misrepresentation and lies don’t earn anyone my money. I’ll have to be wary of small businesses from now on. Shame.

I tried to return something that didn’t quite work for me. I didn’t actually use this item(trust me, if I had used it, I wouldn’t have even thought about returning it)-I only opened the package/zip pouch and noticed that the item would not work for me. I’m usually okay with being told company policy and that they’re not allowed to return items, but nowhere in the store or on the receipt does it say that all sales are final. and if that is the case, then the associate selling the items should have said something. also, the associate who told me about their return policy AFTER the fact was condescending with the way she said it. not a fan at all.

The big rubber duckies in the window are what drew me in to this charming corner spot. I love bath stuff, lotions, potions and the like. The cupcake and I think it was called Fluffy Bunny lotions smelled divine like creamy vanilla notes but not overpowering. What did I end up buying? Dionis Sole Soother Heel Repair Stick caught my eye as someone who has the roughest soles on Earth. I’ve tried everything including the acid based stuff you’re not supposed to leave on for long. Now I am attempting to target the problem from inside out. Unrefined, organic, pure coconut oil baby. Anyway what drew me to this stick was not only it’s unique grab and go packaging but also that it has shea butter, tea tree oil AND wait for it… CORNSTARCH, for a not greasy, gross, can’t-stand-it on my skin feeling. Brilliant, why yes it is as well as simple. Put it on and put on shoes. Maybe there is hope after all. I took off my shoes and opted to slick it on my feet right outside the store. There’s a lovely bench. So the owner came out with a camera to take a shot of me and my feet for posting on fb. Ahhh fame!

Nice selection of bath and body products for people of all ages. The kids like the bath bombs, I like the bar soaps. They sell soap bars by weight that are funky and fun. Overall this is a nice spot to get some bath goodies and gifts.

Unfortunately, this store just isn’t what it used to be in years past. I used to love shopping for nice gifts here because they had such a wonderful variety of soaps, towels, robes and other luxury bath items. Their selection is dwindling and a couple of times I find them to be closed when the rest of Peddler’s Village shops are open. What a shame!

I just love going into this cute little shop because it smells so nice! Wonderful selection of speciality soaps and bath items. The staff here is always helpful without being intrusive. They also have a nice selection of towels, mats, shower curtains and other bath accessories. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, by all means ask! They often can order your speciality item. Really crowded on weekend(as are most shops in the touristy Peddlers Village) but certainly worth a visit!

If you love scents, soaps, cheesy things– you’d love this place. I was busy smelling soaps and playing with cutely designed products. Additionaly, the owner was super nice and told me to check out their in-progress website(which I haven’t yet). But I plan to visit the site to browse their creative products.
