Pioneer Ace Hardware

I’ve grown up w/​this place. When I don’t want to drive to town and need random things around the house fixed up this is my go to place. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Everything is always nice and clean and they are always stocked w/​all the items they’re supposed to have. Plus their prices are not bad too.

It was fine. They sold things. Definitely a store.

— I love Ace in Laie I will definitely stand bye them. They are like family (friends/​community), it’s sad that you as as an ex employee had to stoop so low to bring race into the equation. When in fact not 1 of them are just Hawaiian. I see all ethnic background s there. Majority of the employees I see are male, with about 5 females. I have no idea what females you are referring to but I hate when ignorant people bring race and sexism into matter s that have nothing to do with what they are truly up set about! You’re up set you got let go??? Move on and learn from it. I go to Ace all the time and yes they are not accurate in saying hello but the service is there. I think ur a drama queen with a 300 percent mark down! Lol… ;)

I’m always impressed with the customer service there. Although they may not have the biggest selection, they are always willing to go the extra mile to see if my needs are met.
I’m glad they’re available when I need them! Great team there and customer service!

This place is the only game in town. In fact it’s the only hardware store for miles so unless you plan to drive to Kaneohe of town (Honolulu) you’re stuck. If you call to ask if something is in stock the answer is always «yes»! But the truth is maybe yes maybe no. I can’t count how many times I have called and been told to come down they have whatever item. Yes, the people are nice but they never seem to get anything 100% right the first time. I ordered some screens for my house and had to pay up front and was told to come in at the end of the week to get them. Went back a week later and the job was only half done. Had to wait until Monday to get the rest of the order. Another time I went over to have some keys made. I had to go back three times because the keys they made did not work. When you ask what the problem is the answer is usually that the one person on staff who knows how to do whatever it is you need is not there. :-/​What can you do? they’re the only choice you have in the area. It would be great if another hardware supply would open in the area so they’ed have to compete. If just need to pick up a little something to do a small job this place is OK. But Ace Pioneer Hardware in Laie is inconsistent and not very reliable.

As a resident of Laie when we need something, it’s kinda frustrating to have to go ALL the way to town.
This ACE is awesome. My hubby seems to always get what he needs at reasonable price, of course walmart is cheaper, but the gas price to drive down to walmart and the time just isn’t worth it. The people are always very helpful and nice.
And sorry, not open on Sundays, and yes we mormons do own everything so it won’t be open on Sundays, don’t hate.

Service was awesome! I am not one to frequent hardware stores but I do know good customer service and this place has it. Each and every staff member was attentive. They all greeted me and asked if I needed assistance. The woman that actually ended up helping me really knew her stuff. I had a basic plumbing problem and she offered me a number of viable solutions. The cashier was friendly and engaging. I felt like these people were my family. Awesome place!!!
