We had a great, relaxing dinner. Service was prompt, but not rushing us through dinner. All of our courses were delicious! Our Mahi bites came with a fantastic dipping sauce. The side salads were nice sized and the house vinaigrette was very good. We both got the ribeye and enjoyed them. The garlic mashed potatoes were excellent. We ended the meal with the Chocolate Moment of the Day which was a S’more and was delicious. A return visit is definitely in our future ! !

Had the 3 pork press with garlic mash taters. Wife and brother ordered Burger. Phenomenal !! Matt the owner cane out to check on us and brought out some pickle chips. DOUBLE WHAMMY !!!

I was on my way to Orlando Airport and decided to stop by at Cornerstone Grill to grab some food. I tried their pulled pork flatbread and it was aweeeesssoooomeee!
I came back a week later with my family while I was on my way to Orlando. This time I tried their local beer and other items from their menu. Great place. Outstanding service. I’ll keep coming back!

This is our second time here. Awesome farm to table restaurant! Staff is super friendly and very accommodating of our dietary constraints. Owner was also very attentive to our needs and delivered an awesome meal for everyone. Worth the drive if you have allergies and are looking for a great meal at a great price. Highly recommended!!!

What a great farm to table restaurant in the little town of Lake Alfred. We tried the zucchini fries that came with a yummy dippy sauce, the corn cake & a veggie flat bread. It all tasted wonderful and we will drive the 20 miles to eat there again and are excited to try more menu items.

1st time visitor. you can easliy drive past the place so slow down and look the store front. Nice décor. Found on Unilocal and was very pleased with our lunch. Order a salad that was very tasty with basalmic vinegret. And a grilled chicken sandwich that was prepared perfectly with some fresh ingredients. staff was courteous and was very knowledgeable about the menu.

Went here for lunch on Friday after seeing numerous good comments on our HOA Facebook page. Like to see local owned Mom and Pop restaurants. Décor is very nice, clean and inviting. Server was friendly and attentive. Menu listed numerous items which were well suited for the lunch time crowd. There was adequate seating and it wasn’t too crowded. It looked like all local people and several were there checking the place out like we were. I had a pressed pork sandwich which was ok. I thought it was a little dry and wasn’t as flavorful as others I’ve had but it wasn’t bad. Wife had the mixed berry crepes and thought they were good. My sister had Caesar salad and said it was very good. Dinner menu looks good and we will definitely come back here. I think it’s worth the time to check it out and think we will be regulars here. We will reevaluate our star rating after we try other items they offer and certain it will result in added star (s).

I travel for business and am always on the lookout for something other than the national brands serving large portions of mediocre food usually with a giant side of fries.
«Farm to Table» caught my eye on the highway sign directing me to the restaurant.
Pressed pork sandwich sided by orzo and fresh vegetables. Another reviewer commented on the plate size relative to portion. I suppose a little plate garnish might help to add some pop but I found the portion size appropriate. The sandwich had a light crunch and a warm soft center. The ratio of pork, ham, cheese and pickles was harmonious.
It looks like there was a good wine selection and I noticed several taps that I would have loved to try.
Fellow road warriors like me who avoid fast food and fern bars will find The Cornerstone Grill a worthwhile diversion.

Wow! That is all I can say. This is the restaurant you’d expect to find in Orlando or St. Pete or Miami. Not in tiny Lake Alfred. Great food with a wide selection, with better yet… affordable prices! This is hands down the best place to eat in Lake Alfred and make the Winter Haven area!

We were visiting in the area. We went to another popular local eatery first but, left when the place was so crowded. We found the cornerstone and it didn’t look like there were many there so we said «why not». We were seated right away. Little did we know it would take what seemed like forever to get waited on. I ordered the tomato flavored wrap sandwich and my wife ordered the fish. It took forever to get our order. The food was good but, the service was terrible. Must have been a problem with the kitchen. We were very close to walking out and going down to McDonald’s. I think it’s reasonable to expect to have lunch without having to wait over an hour. Too bad. Looked like a good place but, now we know why the other local eatery was so crowded. We won’t be going back.

I ate the crusted tilapia raised in spring water. Excellent meal. Really nice to have local food prepared by a chef. The chef even comes out yo check in with his diners.

First time here for lunch on a Monday.
Our server was a bit slow and things were really off because of it… missing spoon for pasta that was forgotten after asking twice and soup that arrived after my dad has basically finished his sandwich, no condiments (and I mean the basics salt and pepper, ketchup and Parmesan cheese… it being the most exotic I guess it’s ok to have to ask for it).
For a table of four we seemed to be overwhelming our server and I guess the other three on the opposite half of the restaurant. For a former Disney head chef that is striking out on his own I’m a bit worried…
I had a pretty small pressed pork sandwich with house made pulled pork. It was totally plated wrong on a huge oval plate which made it look small and the portion of French fries tiny. The sandwich was on par with with the other Cuban style ones I have had around central Florida.
Chicken was dry on the pasta but I was cooked properly and seasoned ok.
I will give this place a second chance just to try the «farm to table» burger with artisan bun.
–2 for the service and poor looking plates.

What a unique find! Food was phenomenal. I had the ribeye. It was every bit as good as steaks I’ve had in premium steakhouses in Vegas. The smoked gator dip appetizer was outstanding. Also, the grilled chicken salad was great. Everything is fresh. The food is prepared with much care and the presentation is top notch. I can tell the Chef really cares about the quality. I will be back.

What a great little restaurant. The food was superb and the waitress, Corinne, was really gracious and very humorous. We would certainly come here again. Five stars for sure. The chef/​owner was very capable. He had some dishes that were inmovative and delicious. He was a very gracious host.

Had dinner here. The food was awesome and the service was great. Very nice little restaurant. I had the Mahi Mahi. Cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this place.
