Lake Alfred Diner

Just an fyi, the summer hours posted say only open until 3 pm. Got there at 259. Great food but closing early during the summer.

Food is ok but I have repeatedly found hair in my food. When I called to speak to the manager, him and a waitress tried to give me the run around so he wouldn’t have to get on the phone. When I finally got him on the phone, instead of offering a refund all he offered was to remake my food. I will no longer be a customer at this restaurant as they don’t seem to care that they are serving their employees dna to their customers. If you go there, check your food thoroughly.

Wonderful small-​town feel. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was top notch. The diner has the friendly atmosphere that’s disappearing in America nowadays.

We moved here from Bucks County Pa 6 months ago. We use to eat breakfast 3 times a week at the Pub Diner in Bensalem Pa. It had the best food in the area. We never thought we would find a breakfast place that could live up to the Pub Diner in Pa. Well, we found one that exceeds our favorite place in Pa. The Lake Alfred Diner. Not only is the food better but the service is friendly and helpful. If there were 10 stars that’s what I would give it. And by the way, the lunch is as good as the breakfast!

Friendly staff, quick home style meals. Breakfast is particularly good, generous servings. Usually busy, but pretty fast in the kitchen.

I enjoyed my first time here. Server was very nice and great with refills. Food was good. Corn nuggets were a bit to sweet for me but still good. When I need my country food fix this is a good option. Place was packed and there was a guy on patio with a parrot on his shoulder lol. was funny lol. Serves lunch all day which I love.

This is a quaint little place that was once a Hardee’s. My grandmother lives in Lake Alfred and this is one of the available dining options so we thought we would give it a try.
First, please note, if you have seafood allergies you can’t eat any of the fried food because they don’t have a dedicated fryer. Seafood, chicken, fries, corn nuggets, sweet potato fries, they all go in the same fryer.
So, my grandmother just got back into town yesterday so I went here for dinner with her, my aunt, uncle, cousin, etc. According to my cousin they have the best coleslaw he’s ever eaten. I am not a fan of coleslaw, so I’ll take his word for it. My mother said that their Ranch dressing is out of this world. It is homemade.
I had spaghetti and meatballs, which were good. It wasn’t exceptional, but not bad in anyway. The sauce was a bit tangy for me. The portion was a good size and it came with a side and a soup/​salad. I had corn nuggets, a total guilty pleasure for me and again, they were good, but not the best I’d ever had. I chose the potato soup for my starter and it was decent, but a bit on the salty side. My grandmother loved her roast beef.
Service was excellent and our waitress kept all of our drinks filled.
Verdict, a solid option if you are in the Lake Alfred area.

It don’t get any better than this folks. Great food and prices. From the homemade chili to the homemade coleslaw and all the homemade meals in between-​are the best!

We were very disappointed in the meal. The roast pork was extremely hard and dry. The gravy taste like it came out of a can and very salty. My wife ordered a ribeye steak cooked medium but it came out well done. We’ll never plan on returning.

On our road trip to Clermont, we happened to drive by the place and it looked busy. So a few days later, on our way back home, we stopped for breakfast. The prices were low, the food was very good, the staff was friendly. It is a nice, local place and we would recommend it!

Nice place. Food was good and reasonably priced, staff was helpful and fast. Nice to have in town. I will go back.
