Sweets n’ Stuff

We drove all the way from Anaheim just to go and eat the cinnamon rolls from Sweets and Stuff and, it was worth every mile that we drove! Not only was the the pastries delicious but the people were so, so nice! The owner told me that she’ll be moving to a different location in September when Santa’s Village goes back to Lake Arrowhead just an FYI. It was very clean and they have an «A» rating. We’ll be going back for sure!

I haven’t been there since Nikki took over, and I’m hoping she can make it as wonderful and lovely as she is. Last thanksgiving, we ordered two cakes for our dinner. Went there that morning to pick them up and they had made two completely different cakes! Their excuse was, «we ran out of the ingredients for what you ordered.» Ummmm ok? Then, they had the balls to charge me dollars more per cake because they «were a more expensive cake» bastards. Completely rude and never even asked me if I wanted the cakes they just went ahead and made without calling to let me know.
Nikki, who I’ve used before this shop existed is amazing. Fair prices and a great girl. Screw those other ones.

What a wonderful bakery in Lake arrowhead. They have delicious pastries baked fresh every morning one of our all-​time favorites is the chocolate croissant. We also got a pie this Thanksgiving which was wonderful it’s a little slice of heaven.

All I can say is Wow!!! No really this place has it all and they are super friendly to boot. We ordered pies for thanksgiving and they we awesome. Everyone that came tried some and went back for more.
Next time you are in Lake Arrowhead stop in for a treat. Tell them Mike sent you. They may still look at you funny but my office is next door. They know who I am!!!

We found this wonderful bakery in Lake Arrowhead. The cinnamon rolls were wonderful and they had a German Spice cake that I found delicious. In addition to the owners treating us like family they offer coffee and tea with you baked goods for free. We asked if we could get some of the cinnamon rolls to go and Chris baked them up for us in 20 minutes! Delicious treats and wonderful service, I would recommend them as a place you must stop by and visit.

Chris and her staff make the best bagels; chewy not bread-​like. Nikki’s cupcakes are fabulous, try the key lime cupcakes; the minis are the perfect size.

My birthday was June 14^th. I am a little obsessed with the movie frozen and told my dad that I really wanted a olaf themed frozen cake for my birthday. I didn’t realize how popular frozen was! No cake store anywhere could do one. My dad called sweets n stuff and told them the situation, not only did they make me a olaf cake SAME DAY, but they made my favorite filling of dark chocolate and raspberry! It was so cute and yummy! I have been to this place before and everything is really good! They were so sweet to make me such a nice birthday cake so last minute! Not to mention they only charged 20 dollars! Such a good deal! I highly recommend them!

Even mo’ better with the remodel and the added breakfast sandwich/​pastry items… we will be back! :)

This place was great for some breakfast stuff. It was right across from the real estate agent we were in Arrowhead to see. I wish we had this place at home. We’re back in Arrowhead for the weekend and I’m making sure to stop by. The workers were so nice too! And free coffee!
Update as of 4÷5÷14: the place is still open and still selling baked goods, and they are still yummy! They are combined with Nikki’s and they have services that cater to weddings. No candy anymore but the bagels and other breakfast stuff are great! They had some really nice looking cupcakes we did not sample. Coffee is no longer free, now it’s a whole dollar for as much as you like. We’ll be back!

Great cakes and desserts! Absolutely love the candy making class. Took my youth group girls to the candy making class and they all loved it! Can’t wait to do it again!

I bought a Groupon for this place months ago, knowing we would be going up during Christmas break. I walked in and some big Caucasian lady greeted us and was pleasant, at that point. I mentioned having a Groupon and the drama started.
She huffed and called over the owner by saying all crappy, «you have ANOTHER Groupon!». The owner, who was pleasant, asked when the Groupon was purchased and went on to explain that they stopped it because it was nothing but headaches for them. She said she would honor what we had, which was 2 $ 10 coupons. Mind you, this was a Saturday and they are closed Sunday and Monday; we were on our way home the next day. I asked the owner if she would be willing to take both of them, we had 8 people in our party, they would have made well over the $ 20 in coupons we had. The big white lady stated bobbing and weaving her head while literally yelling at me saying, «You already know it’s one coupon per day! It states it right there in the contact which you agreed to when you paid!». I told her forget it, I would call Groupon and get my money back, I refused to spend another cent in this crappy little shop.
I couldn’t believe ANYONE in customer service would ever yell at a customer, much less while throwing her head around. It seems they closed their doors to the public, which I’m not surprised with unruly employees like that.
The one star goes to the owner who was gracious and kind about it all, and having to apologize on the behalf of her beastly employee.

This bakery is SOO good. Pastries are delicious, the lady who works there is so nice and they have delicious complementary coffee and tea with any purchase. Their savory bread is really good. Definitely coming back.

Such a great local bakery. Also, if you need anything for special occasions (weddings, birthdays, etc.) this is the place for you.

Friendly staff. The pastries were really good but I expected a larger selection. We did go late in the day though. It can be hard to find. Call for directions, it could save you a lot of frustration.

Felt I should write an update as it’s been months since my first entry.
You really must stop for fresh bagels, pastries, cookies, cakes, cupcakes, candies including my favorite oreo bark!
Everything is made daily and is truly superior!
Charming atmosphere and you always get a genuine mountain top welcome from everyone.
Chris, the owner, now serves chili or soups in the cooler months!
Try the special breakfast bagel if early. There are so many kinds of goodies and they change daily, sure you will find a treasure that just fits you!

Went in this morning to try out some breakfast pastries. BEST cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had. I’m not usually a fan of cinnamon rolls but the amazing smell in shop prevented me from leaving without them. They were simply delicious. Almost a cross between a traditional cinnamon roll and a croissant in flavor and texture. They were a bit flaky and buttery and just fabulous. Not too much cinnamon and the perfect amount of sugary glaze on top. My whole family loved them. I wish it hadn’t taken me so long to stop in there. On top of the quality… the prices are beyond reasonable. I will be a regular for sure!

Having seen SO many great Unilocal on this adorable local bakery/​sweet shop, I had to test taste it myself! I was headed down the mountain to do dreaded smog/​dmv errands so I stopped to start my morning off with yummy breakfast items and a couple of cookies thrown in to look forward to. I walked in and announced I was there due to their many great Unilocal.They smiled and all introduced themselves, including the owner. I was on a mission to sample their delectable bagels/​buns/​croissant creations topped with amazing delicious fresh ingredients. I ordered the spinach artichoke bagel, the sun dried tomato pesto bagel and for dessert a lemon cookie and a chocolate dipped macaroon. «Foodiewise» I bonded with them over my love of cooking.
I didn’t get back home till 6:00 PM and was STARVING. Oh wow, those bagels were devoured for looks, taste, texture and uniqueness. They really are an amazing texture like a croissant but without the guilt of all that butter, they are boiled before baking. The toppings were so perfect no butter or cream cheese was needed. I had cut them into half but ummmmmm I ate BOTH the whole «bagels».
How about a FRESH., DELICIOUS, locally made Mounds bar for only 50 cents with love added for free? Then follow it with a lemon cookie so tangy yet sweet and chewy you want to knock on their door after hours and beg for more?!
I decided if I walk there with my dog a couple times a week, I can justify the extra calories from my over indulgence.
I will be back!

Visiting family in the area, we found this little gem thanks to Unilocal.How this place isn’t packed with a line out the door I don’t understand. Prices are crazy low, everything is made from scratch… Did I mention free coffee?
Daughter had a cinnamon role ($ 1.50!!! We would easily have paid twice that…) and my son had a lemon pastry. But the star of the show here was my ham and Swiss bagle. I don’t even really care for bagels usually, but these were soft and light, almost a mix between a bagel and croissant. Once my family each tried a bite of mine, back to the counter they went. We even ordered a couple to go to take to our family we are in town to visit.
Hope the community supports this place, it’s awesome. We’ll be heading back over in the morning. :D

This place is amazing. We stumbled upon this place while camping. We had to run into town to pick up a few things from States Bros., and my daughter spotted it on the way. She begged us to stop, and we were glad she did.
There were six of us and combined we probably tried ten different candies and seven different pastries/​bagels (not in one sitting). This place was so amazing that we drove back after packing up our campsite on Sunday for breakfast. I have a feeling that everything in this shop is magically delicious.
The owner is very friendly, and the prices are VERY reasonable. If you drive past this place, slam on your brakes and make a u-​turn. Don’t miss out on this amazing place. I wish we had a place like this in Orange County. This place is better than grandma’s baking, yeah I said it, and it’s true!

Adorable and yummy is what I would say. We visit Lake Arrowhead often and have driven by this little hole in the wall for over 1 year. Last month we were visiting realtor friends whose office is down the street and I decided to take a walk. The environment is cute, nothing fancy, but the staff is warm and gives you the feel of «welcome home». Product quality is outstanding. The stuffed bagels are unique and gourmet; artichoke and spinach bagel, pesto bagel, sun dried tomato bagel, they are all very good. The turnovers and puff pastry deserts are nicely done. I have stayed away from the candy so it doesn’t void out my work at the gym.
That sense of home is extended by «free ice tea» any time in the cooler and a warm place to sit down and visit.
In an economy when so many good ideas never get executed, I high encourage you to stop by and try their products.
My friends in So. Cal., down the hill now give me bagel and sweets orders to bring home to them from Sweets n’ Stuff.
