We conduct professional estate sales throughout Chicagoland, and wouldn’t work with anyone else to help us assess estate collections on behalf of our clients. Incredibly professional, quick to respond, with a friendly staff. No project has ever been too big for him to work with us on, and we’ve had some substantial libraries that needed to be reviewed. Good work takes time, and I can count on him not to rush through the books so quickly that he might overlook something of value.
The words I’ve always used to describe David probably sound rather Boy Scout-​ish, but they fit: Honest, Trustworthy, Fair, and Respectful. He understands the current market better than most, and gives the most value to items as is appropriate in a very flooded used book market. Plus, he’ll remove books that really have no value and dispose of them properly.

Dave and team are very responsive to texts/​calls about clients of mine (I’m a Professional Organizer and owner of The Chicago Organizer) who have hundreds of books in their homes. They also do the extra work of packing books straight from the shelves. People do need to realize that even though they might have a lot of books, they aren’t always worth much so donating and taking a tax deduction might be their better option. But sometimes their collections will yield them a nice check, and they’ll know their books will get sold to people who will value them as much as they did! They will come and get your books out of your hair, and make sure that the best possible thing happens to each and every one of them, whether that means selling, donating, or recycling. When they plan right and take what you need, this is one amazing service. I’ve found with several of my clients they couldn’t take all the books in one sitting and the money given in return varied greatly. The disappointment that they physically couldn’t finish the job in one sitting was the most frustrating. Besides that one negative, otherwise I’d recommend them! It’s a relief not to just recycle or dump books since most Goodwill’s and Salvation Army’s wont take books anymore.
