I’ve been here twice now while visiting my son at the Naval base. The service is great, the food is solid diner food. Nothing fancy, just solid diner food. Clean, comfortable, perfect for an inexpensive breakfast or lunch. Wish they had better coffee though.

I come here every so often with my mom for lunch and it’s always hit or miss. However, miss isn’t really a bad thing. It’s with really good or ok. I’ve never had anything bad and the wait staff is amazing. I brought my husband here for the first time Sunday morning(6am to be exact) and the food was amazing! The diner was nearly empty outside of two older gentlemen(regulars who didn’t even have to place an order) and a NCPD officer. Our cups never reach the halfway marks and our waitress was extremely attentive. Great place to go if you’re looking for good food and great service, you can’t go wrong here.

Menu is diverse and an overall home cooking vibe. The building and décor is dated but obviously doesn’t take away from the deliciousness of the food. Service was decent too.

Food was great until I saw the paper barcode stamp on the green pepper that the omelette had.

Went here today after my friend graduated from boot camp at Great Lakes. Atmosphere was fun, servers were kind, prices were reasonable, the menu is PLENTIFUL and it was very hard to choose. I had blueberry crepes and they were HUGE and wonderful! I would love to come back here some day.

I meant to make this my 300th review, as this is one of my old time favorites. I haven’t been out this way in some time. My Pops used to live in the area and I would visit here routinely. Back in the 90’s I actually serviced some of their Casablanca fans, which I now see are long gone. Good to see Spyro, the owner, is still here. My favorite waitress Helen is still on the floor too. This is true home cooking and everything is made from scratch. Awesome soup too. Open 24⁄7 every day of the year and if memory serves, they always offer a free meal on Thanksgiving too.

Really good home style food in a diner setting. Nice atmosphere and good customer service. Ate here a couple times and everything has been good. Good portions for the price.

I planned on eating here for a few months since I knew I’d be in town on Thanksgiving. We got there around 1pm and there was a line outside the building to the corner. That being said the wait til was only maybe 7 minutes and my husband and myself sat at the bar. They really do have a free Thanksgiving meal and it’s really good! The turkey was moist, the potatoes were homemade, same with the stuffing, gravy, and there was corn. The biscuits were pre-made in packages but that’s okay. My favorite was the stuffing which just made me think of my Great Grandma’s cooking. The yellow gravy was yummy also. I’m not a fan of corn, but my husband enjoyed it. It was all very fresh and good! We ordered a piece of pecan pie which was SOO good and the lady put lots of whipped cream on it to make me happy.(lol) Helen, our waitress, was such a sweetie, heck they were all sweeties. I also think I met the owner, an older man who was wearing a red sweater that day. An older man with a cane came up to him and said he was about $ 1.30 short for his bill. I was reaching for my credit card since I was going to pay for the gentlemen and the guy without missing a beat shook his hand and said not to worry about it and have a Happy Thanksgiving. At this point I’m holding back tears and so was my husband. Everyone got a fresh, warm, and free Thanksgiving meal while I was there without discrimination. After paying for my pie and tipping nicely I was still paying less than I would for a couple«value menu» items at your local fast food place. I would come here again if I’m in the area. Their menu looks good and if their Thanksgiving menu is respective of how their food tastes: It’s DELICIOUS! No you’re not getting gourmet hoity toity food; you’re getting what you wish your Grandma made(or did in my case). Comforting and good. Thank you Full Moon for making a semi-stressful trip into the BEST Thanksgiving I’ve maybe ever had.

This place is a great little dinner! The waitresses are phenomenal. They are characters in of them self. 24 hours of great food. Try the grilled polish sausage and eggs. Enjoy!

Passing through, typical diner motif, but what made me stop were the cars in the parking lot. Mercedes, jags, audis, etc. not typical for sure. A lot of locals gather in the morning for coffee. Sat at the counter, quick service, TV with news, great spot. Biscuits and gravy are a favorite of mine, these score 7 out of 10. Flavor was good and not too starchy. Menu has lots of choices, and seeing orders go out, they look good as well. Figure this place at Denny’s X3.

Moved up a star to 4, I guess because I know what to expect and what to order. Or better, what not to order. Friendly staff, easy crowd, no pretentiousness. Eggs good. Potatoes good. Pumpernickel toast– a treat. Pasta– not so great, roast turkey– hit or miss, can be great. Fish– dry. Salads– side salad is great. Soups– very good. Stuffed pepper– go for it. Greek deserts– heavenly. $ 2.50 for three slices of tomato… not on my watch.

Great customer service, people are super sweet there. We took my husband there for his navy graduation. The food is awesome, plenty of food for cheap! I loved the home feeling experience. Been there twice already, will come again.

It’s been years since I visited this spot. I used to get the lemon soup but on this visit I came during breakfast hours and had plenty of food to share. My waitress was sweet and made sure that everyone in my dining party had what they needed and checked on us regularly without being a bugaboo. Located about 8 minutes from Great Lakes Naval Base, it’s not uncommon to see a few Master Chiefs huddled in a booth talking ish and slurping down coffee. If you are eligible for a military discount, let your cashier know ahead of time so that you can keep a few of your coins in your pocket. This spot has that Mel’s diner feel and the seasoned waitresses to give you a hard time when you can’t make up your mind… lol Try the broasted chicken if you are here.

Been coming here for about 1 year and I can’t complain. If I do have a complaint they have no issue fixing it. During the afternoon have a regular waitress Yolanda and late at night Peggy. Good food fair price … The owner every year does a free Thanksgiving to all cause he so grateful :)

It’s a diner, not a Jersey diner… But a hole in the wall. Typical menu, typical waitress, typical gross frozen food. But the décor is dated and dusty, the silver wasn’t cleaned good, and the floors were quite sticky. If you want to see a diner that belongs on restaurant impossible this is your place.

I drive from Kenosha all the time to eat here. They have lots of choices and great food. My favorite is the Farm Style breakfast(3 eggs, hash browns, bacon/sausage, toast) Multiple seating arrangements: counter, booths and tables. They also have some of the best cheesecake ever. They have an easy entrance and exit parking lot to either go north or south on the highway, so no matter what direction you’re coming from, stop in!

This is your standard breakfast joint with good food and service. It brings back fond memories for my husband and his time at Great Lakes Naval Base. We were passing through on our way to a wedding in Wisconsin and stopped for breakfast. We were greeted and seated right away. Our waitress was on top of it and very friendly — coffee was never empty and service was fast. I ordered the Greek Island Omellete which was jam packed with feta cheese and a sprinkling of chopped gyro meat. My husband ordered the standard eggs, sausage, home fries and toast and was happy. Great experience and will be sure to stop back next time we are passing through.
