I would give 0 stars if possible. First of all, it’s not a Verizon store… it’s the Mobile Generation(authorized verizon retailer). They treated me like I was a dummy when I had an issue with my phone. I ended up going in 5 separate times when each of their«hit reset» solutions failed. They finally decided my phone was defective and gave me a replacement phone, but now this one is having issues too. Never buying from here again.

horrible! I went in to upgrade my phone, when the reps did this, they did not upgrade the correct line. Instead, they created a new edge agreement, informing me that all I needed to do was send in my old phone. I did, and since they created a new edge agreement without notifying me that is what they were doing, I am stuck paying fro the previous phone as well. I spoke to multiple people and they are not willing to work to correct this action. as the customer I have to pay for their mistake, and their is no accountability on their end. the practices of this location are more than unprofessional. I would recommend any other location, preferably one with knowledge of their profession, so the customer does not suffer from their wrong doing.

Worst experience ever. Beware, if you shop here. I went in stating that I did NOT want to be on the Edge Plan, behind the desk they signed me up for the Edge Plan anyway(while telling me I was signing up for a two year contract). The store manager, then withheld any documents that would indicate for what plan I signed up.. Always leave the store with: 1. A fully detailed sales receipt, 2. A print out of your signed contract, 3. Your customer agreement. Check out the Consumer Reports article about Verizons’ business practices. My case has been submitted to the Illinois States Attorney General.

This store is terrible. I went in for a simple task. I wanted them to put on a screen protector which I brought in. They ruined the screen protector because they kept peeling it off assuming the screen was still dirty. The guy helping me searched for another screen protector which they apparently didn’t carry and when he asked his co-worker, his co-worker responded with an abrupt«no». Very rude! Each time I come into this store, they never have what I need and are not personable. I suggest going elsewhere!

They don’t price match, which is a head scratcher as almost everything in this store is available online or at other local merchants for MUCH less. Their excuse is that they prefer to offer savings through Groupon and other marketing channels. Huh? Its not a bad premise, as groupons expire and then you’re stuck trying to spend purchased value @ an overpriced store. Somewhat luckily for me I had 2 weeks to spare before my face value groupon expired and I made the drive. Well actually I drove to the Linconshire location only to be greeted with a door sign that said«Closed due to inclement weather». Huh? It was a cold day in Jan, but every other store is the strip mall was open; so what gives? Anyway, 11 miles later I am at this location overpaying for accessories. The grand total of purchased items was $ 53, for which I paid with a groupon($ 19) and $ 3 cash. Could I have purchased the same items from Amazon for the same $ 22? Just about, it would have been $ 26, but well worth it to avoid the hassle of driving, etc(Probably a wash with round trip cost of gas). They have a decent, but limited selection relative to BestBuy and when I stopped in; only one employee working. He was already working with another customer and had to stop several times to answer my q’s and then ring up the sale. Not sure how they can service multiple customers on a busy day. Maybe for Verizon phone service and purchase its a great place, but I can not comment on that. .

I was hesitant to go back in this store because of the previous management, but wow — what a difference! Tyler and Mike were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helped me choose exactly the right phone. They also have provided very helpful service post-purchase whenever I’ve had questions. Highly recommended!

The men working were very helpful, I even went back to exchange my phone(nothing wrong with the phone, just wanted an iPhone instead), and it was so simple. They are very knowledgable and helpful and the store is very well organized. Definitely would recommend this store to a friend!

*The review from Conor is not at this location but I know the location he is talking about and he is spot on.* The location in Lake Bluff has good customer service and handle complaints professionally and they will work with you. They are salesmen but if you do your homework before you get there you should be fine. The staff is excellent, make sure to ask to speak to the manager Andrew and harrass him.

Bottom Line Up Front: Below Average Customer Service This store is located near the mall in a building shared with Qdoba Mexican Grill. The store was pretty typical. Clean, lots of new gadgets and whatnot being presented, the only problem is that none of the display models were powered up, so you couldn’t really see any of the features I went into the store to get a new phone for my «new every two.» I signed in at their kiosk and waited a good long while before anyone called me to be helped. The store was not crowded and there appeared to be several associates without customers in front of them, so I was curious about the wait(probably Unilocaling on the clock). Once I was helped, the associate had a very difficult time actually activating my device. It took about 20 mins before he figured it out. Overall, I walked in wanting a phone, and walked out with a pretty sweet new device, however, it took forever, and I had a difficult time deciding on the device that I wanted because they were having issues powering their displays.
