We ate here on family vacation, it was a pleasant experience and the food was your typical Japanese Steak House, they excelled in the service department due to it being on Disney property. We will definitely be returning!

Disappointed & was dying for a Delicious Teppan meal! I’m a usual Teppan customer wherever I travel whether in Hawaiian Islands or in California where I live and this was a bit out of the«traditional» experience. The Chef at least didn’t over cook the shrimp or steak but lacked flavor. Don’t cook fried rice in front of you(came browned in a bowl) that too lacked any flavor. My daughter ordered chicken(over cooked and NO Teriyaki sauce) the Salad was okay, you don’t get soup with it(extra). Here’s where it gets worse… they throw thick flavorless noodles mixed in with the beautiful sautéed vegetables(onion & zucchini) adding spinach and cabbage. It was like the kitchen sink of filler with no reasoning behind it! Grrrrrrr so seriously DISAPPOINTED!!!

My family was here visiting me in Disney, we saved Teppan Edo as the last dinner we would have together before they returned back to Maine. Were we satisfied with this decision? Yes and No. The food was amazing. Without a doubt one of the best Japanese Habatchi Restaurants I have been to. They serve you a salad with a really nice sesame ginger dressing to start. For my meal I ordered the shrimp/steak combination. The meal came with beef flavored rice, udon noodles with veggies, and then the protein. I loved every last bit of my meal. I am a small person but I can eat and I finished my entire meal. The only thing that we weren’t satisfied with was our chef. Quite honestly, he was old and boring. He didn’t get into it like many of the other chefs were doing. Part of habatchi is the experience and we most definitely didn’t get the experience that we paid for.

What happened to this place? The service is overly friendly as usual but our chef was weak. She was from Tokyo so I expected it to be a good show for my 3 year old and one year old on Mothers Day but it was not. She did the typical volcano thing and tried to flip a shrimp tail into her hat which missed horribly. It was the kind of show I would have probably put on in my house to make my family laugh. The food was very average. Chicken and steak were okay but the salad had a weird tasting dressing and instead of the typical fried rice they do noodles and veggies with spinach I think. They had a ginger sauce and some weird white sauce that had no flavor. I did get rice but it was a brown rice of some sort. It had no flavor and for $ 30-$ 40 a plate I expected more. My kids weren’t even interested and barely ate. I love Tepanyaki but this is not my favorite by far. Try the biergarten instead. That was a lot of fun.

Ask for Nagatoshi. He did such a great job and make an Olaf out of the veggies! I’m usually not a fan of hibachi, but this was delicious, and they used udon noodles, which I love. I ordered the filet and it was cooked perfectly.

I have to lower my rating because they no longer have cheese cake. You get a choice of moose or ice cream that was melting. when we got it. They now only give you 2 sauced instead of 3. Menu’s are cheaply made with papper inserts. The portions of noodles etc were less. It was warm in the location. Service was good

Was excited for this restaurant due to the mediocre food at Disney but was left disappointed as the quality does not justify the price charged. Place is pretty much like other hibachi places where they cook what you order on a stove right in front of you. Though employees of the whole restaurant were very Japanese the food was okay considering that dishes were around $ 30 – 40 — piece. I got the julienne beef cooked to medium rare which was decent while my brother got the yasai(vegetables). Both were good but nothing special here move on.

Yummy!!! The food and the cooking show was very good! We loved this place will come back next time we are in the area! They have a kids menu and interact with all the guest at the table. Yes it is pricey but worth it.

Throughout my Disney dining plan experience. I was able to make reservations and get seated right away upon arriving to any reservation. I arrived on time to my dinner reservation at Teppan Edo and was not seated till nearly 35 minutes later. I understand that with hibachi style dining, you need to either have a full table to begin service or dining can be slow with the style of cooking causing a delay. I just did not expect that long of a delay. The experience the waitress and chef gave us definitely made me feel like we were in Japan. They were very courteous! Overall dining was slow. Customer service was great. Food was ok. It was nothing spectacular. I’d dine here again if someone I came with really wanted to, other than that, if I didn’t have an earlier reservation, I’d probably skip this place.

This experience is based on us having a reservation for a party of eight. We had a hibachi table to the left of when you enter. I would probably suggest this place to anyone at Disney looking craving hibachi. Notice I didn’t say sushi; this is because there are only like four rolls on the menu & none of them are with raw fish. My three stars here is based on the service & whole authenticity aspect of the place. The servers, chefs, & hostesses are from Japan and the place looks great. The food was okay. Let’s just say that if the service was not as great as it was, my review would probably have one star. The flavor just was not there. The meat was not well-seasoned & the chef didn’t put enough soy sauce on the noodles or vegetables. Overall, it’s still somewhere I would suggest to a family. Make a reservation though.

Tonight was my fiancé’s birthday dinner at Teppan Edo. We made the reservation months ago on the recommendation of another cast member. This was the first time my fiancé and I were also at Disney without my 5 year old daughter. We showed up at our reservation early, only to be seated late. It then took forever to order drinks, dinner, etc. I don’t think we started to eat until 45 min after our reservation was supposed to start. One member of our party is allergic to sesame seeds. We were told that her food had to be cooked in the back because sesame seeds were going to be used on EVERYTHING including the veggies. We accepted that fact and her food was cooked in the back. When her food came out we had started to get our noodles and veggies we noticed that NONE of the food on the griddle had been cooked with sesame seeds. We mentioned something to the new manager and he said he wasn’t aware of sesame seeds being used in the food. Magically once we said something our chef threw some sesame seeds onto my chicken I think to cover up not using any. Our chef was clearly new and a beginner — that’s fine we all have to learn from somewhere, however, not when we are paying over $ 30/plate at Disney. The other chef across the room was clearly way better, much better show, made Olaf out of onions etc. why didn’t we get that show?!? My friends food that«had» to be cooked in the back was inedible. It was like rubber. She even had me taste it. A $ 30 steak anywhere should never taste like that. After we let Jason the manager know he did immediately try to rectify the situation, however, the first manager should have made sure that this didn’t happen. By the time my friend actually got new food everyone was done eating. I called in advance about it being my fiancé’s birthday — nothing special was done. We heard multiple birthday celebrations and by the time they finally brought him cake and the hat half of our table was gone and the people in the room(who started eating 20 min later) were already done too. It was horrible. This is FINALLY when my friend got her steak. This was a complete mood killer for our entire evening. This was the first and probably only time for years my fiancé and I were able to go on vacation without our daughter and we wanted to give him a great 33rd birthday dinner. I’m never one to complain but this was unacceptable.

I used to really love Teppan Edo. Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill, fast. First off, the chefs, servers and hostesses are still super friendly and awesome, no complaints there. However, they’ve made changes to their menu(probably in order to save money) and that has really hurt the quality of their food. TE was undoubtedly one of my favorite places to dine at WDW because it offers awesome staff, a great show and(used to offer) great food. Oh and the cheap on-tap, Japanese beer didn’t hurt either. They used to serve scallops but that’s gone from the menu. They used to have a tasty & colorful medley of vegetables with their noodles but now that’s been replaced with spinach. Spinach? Really??? Their meat and poultry cuts have noticeably been cheapened as well. Their fried rice went from pretty good to disgusting and inedible. The green tea ice cream was still good and it’s still the cheapest place to get Japanese beer on tap at WDW. Food management at Disney really need to bring back the quality to Teppan Edo. It’s a great building and nice restaurant. But, it’s not living up to its full potential. If you like small-town, seedy strip mall type Japanese hibachi, then you won’t be disappointed because that’s what Teppan Edo has become. When I think that Teppan Edo is located inside a world class, billion dollar, family entertainment resort, it’s really sad to see it fall from grace like this. I love great Asian food and there isn’t a ton of great choices at WDW. Well, at least Disney has a 1⁄3 stake in Morimoto.

Delicious. Superb. Amazing chef and food. I ordered the shrimp and steak. It’s more than enough food, and you can’t help but eat it all because it’s so good. Our chef was charismatic and adorable, an older gentleman who knew what he was doing. Don’t go in starving, because it’s more of a journey rather than a destination. We made reservations, which was the way to go. No wait for our table, and when we came out, the entire front was filled with people.

We had a great last meal at Teppan Edo! It is located on the second floor in Japan and connected to the Tokyo restaurant. Major tip/flaw– saw some Unilocalers post pictures of Mickey made out of onions and asked our server. She said this has o be requested in ADVANCE when you make your reservation. So, we missed out. There was not very much«Mickey» or «magic» in this dining experience but you get good food. All the hibachi dishes come with a salad, beef rice and noodles. The noodles are a thick udon noodle mixed with vegetables. We enjoyed those! The rice has beef and a vinegar taste to it. That got mixed reviews from my party of 6. The salad has another vinegar-y dressing, not like a ginger dressing we are accustomed to. But still very good! Our chef was very friendly and did a few tricks. My favorite part was that he turned a zucchini into a magic carpet flying over an onion volcano. He sang a whole new world, it was very cute. You get a lot of food for a good price. Most people in my party got chicken or steak and everyone enjoyed it. During our meal we left to watch the fireworks on the balcony. This is an ok viewing spot. Our view was partially obstructed by trees and this big Japan structure on the water(which is in all our fireworks photo). It is hard to watch the big globe which plays clips on it. We wished it wasn’t raining because we may have gone down closer to the water and it could have been better. Come here if you want good food, fast service and a fun dinner show!

The food here is tasty and the service is amazing — but as for a teppan edo, I’ve definitely had much better — especially for the price. Our chef was a female, and super pleasant, entertaining and gracious. She forgot our sauces, and you could tell felt horrible about it — she managed to get it out to MOST of our party in time before we’d devoured the meat. However, after the chef left someone, who I imagined was a manager came in to make sure it was okay we didn’t get our sauce in time. Not a big deal at all. The service was great. For the price, not worth it — as we’ve had better tasting teppan edo. I ordered the steak and shrimp, and it was tasty. The meal comes with both rice and noodles but it wasn’t stand out. The sauces, once we got them were tasty, but the«white» sauce was like ranch dressing. sort of bizarre, when you are expecting an asian ginger-sesame type sauce that generally comes with the teppan edo experience.

So I’ve never been to a hibachi restaurant but I knew what to expect. Yes, I was excited to sit around the griddle and watch the chefs in action. Flying shrimp tails, Mickey Mouse head made out of oil and a steaming«volcano.» Yeah if you saw one presentation, it was basically the same for all tables. We were seated with a couple and their two children. Our chef Namina(or Nanima?) was really entertaining and she was really good with everyone at the table. There was plenty of meat, noodles and veggies to go around. Though a little more beef rice would have been great. The food here was perfectly cooked. I had the steak(medium) and shrimp. The shrimp were good. The steak was very tender and seasoned just right. My mom had the scallops and they were huge. She said the scallops were excellent! I loved the three different sauces(mustard, ginger and yum yum) as well. What’s in yum yum sauce? Maybe I don’t want to know but I put that on everything. It tasted mayo based and was so good. We had the green tea cheesecake for dessert. That was a meh. The raspberry sauce on top was too overpowering and I couldn’t taste any other flavor of it. The staff was excellent all around. My mom was celebrating her birthday and received a special chef’s hat and birthday song sung for her. There was another table with someone who was allergic to basically everything(pork, soy, veggies, etc). The general manager came out and went over the menu to find something the person could eat. They settled on chicken cooked without oil. Definitely a place I would go back in the future. If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, it is a good value. This has been added to our must-eats of the Word Showcase.

I’ve eaten at other hibachi restaurants before, and I approached my meal at Teppan Edo with«seen one, seen ‘em all» mentality. I have to say that the magic of Disney carries over into an experience that you may have thought you’d already experienced. Between the wonderful service, the excellent entertainment, and the fantastic food, I was very impressed with my visit. The prices here are honestly quite comparable to hibachi restaurants elsewhere. They are usually on the pricey side to begin with, and these prices tend to match that. You’re not only paying for your food, but you’re paying for the whole experience. If you get one of the grill meals, you get to select a protein(or vegetables) and then you get an entire meal prepared before you eyes including noodles with vegetables. The only things no really prepared in front of you is the sukiyaki beef rice, which is brought to each diner in small bowls. Overall I had a great experience here and especially recommend it to diners with children. We brought my nephew and his friend here for lunch and it definitely made for a more entertaining meal than the kids would have had pretty much anywhere else in the World Showcase.

My fiancé and I walked around the World Showcase in Epcot recently and were getting pretty hungry. I had done some restaurant review research on Unilocal beforehand and Teppan Edo seemed to have a decent number of good reviews. We are both big fans of hibachi and decided to get some at Disney World. Obviously, as with all the other food at Disney World, it was«Disney-fied» and didn’t seem completely authentic. We walked in without reservations and were seated at a shared grill almost immediately. The problem is that we had to wait for at least 20 minutes before they started cooking our food up. They were waiting for more people to show up. In the end, one other couple showed up before they started the food. A bit disappointing that we had to wait. It was also disappointing that we asked for a certain pair of seats at the table when there was no one else there, but they said we had for other people to show up before they would even give us the other seats we requested, despite the fact that we were the only people there for a while. The food was decent, but nothing to write home about. We started off with an appetizer — the tuna crudo. It was tasty, but such a pitifully small portion for the price. For our entrees, I ordered the filet hibachi, which came with rice, noodles, and veggies, as well as soup. My fiancé ordered the swordfish, which came with the same things. We enjoyed the food a decent amount, but for the price, it wasn’t quite filling or as tasty as we had hoped. Our chef did all the usual hibachi tricks(the onion volcano tower, the shrimp tail flip into his hat, etc), but wasn’t as warm /funny as other hibachi chefs we’ve had in the past. Our waitresses were polite, but not super nice or welcoming. Overall, I’m glad we had lunch at Epcot, but I don’t know if I would clamor to go back to Eppan Edo. I’d likely choose another restaurant if I visited Epcot again in the future.

The appeal of this place lies in the fact that it’s hibachi and they cook in front of you. This is however, my favorite place in Epcot. If you’re on the Disney Meal Plan, CHEERSTOYOU. This place was so worth my one meal credit. They offer this iced green tea. It’s super green for some odd reason but I love it. It comes unsweetened, but for me, one pack of the more powdered sugar does it for me. For appetizer, I tried the Wafu ribs. The meat just slides right off the bone. It’s soft and delicious. However, it does have a strong soy sauce taste to it too. I always go for the hibachi items here. It’s great and I love it. I do wish that their noodles portion of hibachi was bigger. I love both of their dessert options. However, if you don’t like ginger, the chocolate ginger cake might not be a great option. The ginger is subtle, but you still taste it and at first, I thought that combination was weird, but I did enjoy it. I gave it 4⁄5 because I do enjoy the food a lot, but I think it’s also the hibachi that appeals to me that makes me enjoy this place as much as I do.

Make sure you have reservations for this Japanese Hibachi restaurant at Epcot. We had reservations and still had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. The Japanese staff is all very sweet and accommodating. The menu is very simple. The Hibachi meals include your chosen protein(or veggies), noodles & veggies, and a small bowl of beef fried rice. The prices range from about $ 28-$ 33. This is somewhat comparable to other Hibachi restaurants, except others(such as Japan Inn in the Fort Lauderdale area) include miso soup, salad, a shrimp appetizer, and very large portions! At Teppan Edo you can add soup or salad from the appetizer section. There are also a handful of other appetizers. I tried a Spicy Roll with Tuna & Salmon. This roll tasted like it was pre made. You could not distinguish the flavor of the fish and the filling tasted very pasty. My scallops were very tasty. I think I chose one of the better options. I did taste a piece of steak and chicken from my son’s plate and they both tasted pretty dry. The noodles were pretty bland. Compared to other hibachi places I have been to, there were hardly any veggies provided. One of the bigger disappointments for this meal was the«show». Our female chef was adorable and very friendly. However, I have to admit, her«tricks» were pretty weak compared to others I have seen and some of the other chefs I glanced near by. My kids did love the few«tricks» she did. I get so much enjoyment watching my 10 year old clap with glee as the chef performs her magic! Overall, this was an enjoyable meal. I would give Teppan Edo 4 stars on a Disney Dining rating scale but only a 3 on a «real world» rating scale. It’s almost unfair that Epcot has so many nice dining options when the other parks are so limited. I have found that dining in Disney seems to be on a different scale than dining in the outside world. Prices are always higher, portions are smaller… but hey, if you are spending so much money in the parks already and you decide to dine in the park, you should know that.
