Great service, great prices, great food. We will be back the very next time we go to Lake City. I hope it’s soon.

Although the waitress was pleasant and enthusiastic, the food disappointed a family of 4 who drove 20 miles out of their way based on Unilocal reviews. Most of the food was frozen or canned. The burgers were edible but not worth the drive. The table tents advertising the award winning clam chowder inspired us to order it. The waitress kindly took it off our bill when we could not even swallow a spoonful.

I don’t usually come to places that are not well known, but this was a great hit. We had gone there three days in a row after the first try. Their french toast is great. I loved it every time. Their hashbrowns are delicious, as well as their tea. The servers were quick to come by and take our orders. The food didn’t take too long to make either. The prices were very fair. Two of us ate for under $ 20, and for that price, they did not hold back on the taste. I would go back there again. On another note, there is a fish there that likes to swim into the glass fish tank wall, and to come at you. I found it amusing that if you put your finger up to it, it would follow it and try to eat it.

Had breakfast here & like other reviewers have said its not the Ritz so if you’re looking for fancy place it’s not here but food was great. I’ve yet to try lunch & hopefully in my next visit here I will try the infamous fried pork chops.

Stellar!!! The food, the service, what else is there to say but get yourself here and find out for yourself. A GREAT place to eat. Haven’t had anything that I or the group didn’t love.

Shirley’s does not have the best atmosphere, or the nicest restaurant I’ve ever been in, but the food here is superb, and service is friendly, although the wait is a bit longer than I anticipated. I highly recommend the fried pork chops with collard greens. Bob Evan’s has a better breakfast, so visit Shirley’s for lunch.

Very good southern home cooking. I’ve always enjoyed my meal here. I highly recommend the fried pork chops! There’s a reason they have been around for decades. Great food and great service.

Good friendly service. I had a basic breakfast. The home fries were really fresh potato chips which I found wierd. The bacon was so tough I couldn’t eat it. The egg and biscuit were perfect. Good coffee.

Real down home southern cooking. My favorite place to eat in Lake City. They have a different side menu every day with veggies like, fried okra, pan fried okra, collards, fried green tomatoes, cheese grits, fried eggplant etc. Their burgers are always fresh patties on the flat top. The sweet tea is always sweet. Top notch fried chicken and all meals come with a choice of biscuits or cornbread muffins. There is a community table for folks who like to mingle and converse with other locals. The waitresses are always kind and call you darlin and sweetie. They have the best breakfast in town, hands down. You can get 2 eggs, grits, toast, and country fried steak covered in sausage gravy for around 6 bucks. They’re not a 5 star big city gourmet restaurant, but at what they do I think they’re world class.
