If you’ve ever thought about taking flying lessons, this is an awesome place to do it. I’ve taken lessons at many different airports, and this is one of my favorites — especially for just starting out. Not a lot of air traffic in the area and a fun, comfortable place to hang out. If you’re lucky, the owner’s dog will be there to encourage you.
I’m sure all of their instructors are good, but Mark Gallagher is the man. He is so calm, cool and he doesn’t smell bad. Hey — it’s important, you’re sitting REALLY close for an entire hour, with no easy escape.
I think the hourly charge, all fees included is $ 170. If nothing else, go for an hour and see the St. Croix river valley from the air. Awesome.
