Cypress Soaring Club is one of the most affordable ways to learn to fly that I have been able to find in the Southern California area. Gliders (sailplanes) are fun to fly and the club is a great place to learn. The use of the glider and all of my flight instruction is included in my monthly dues.

Cypress Soaring is one of the oldest Soaring Clubs in Southern California. The club is dedicated to teaching students to fly and offers guest rides at the most reasonable prices in Southern California. If you have always wanted to learn how to fly but were a little afraid, visit their website (
) and check it out. Their instructors are GREAT and they treat you like royalty.
Oh, and they are super safety conscious. Don’t just jump in a plane with some operation with a sketchy safety record. These guys are the real deal.
