I love this Aaron Brothers; I get all of my brainstorming, notetaking, and big idea envisioning notebooks here. There are tons of great books and supplies to choose from; especially if you’re looking for different types of pens, paints and/​or other art supplies. The store is only a few years old and is in good condition.

There was no one around to help and when I bumped into a sales lady it was as if I did not exist. I was neither greeted nor thanked for my purchase either. I will not be returning in the future and I’m disappointed.

There’s something about this particular Aaron Brothers store that doesn’t measure up to other Aaron Brothers stores. Beyond the limited depth of inventory (if you want more than 1 or 2 of a particular product), the customer service is lacking. The store lacks a friendliness and «I’m-here-to-help» feeling. As an example, when I recently went into this particular store looking for a picture frame and a particular matting, finding only one specific matting, I asked. After the associate went into the back, she came out saying «you’re in luck… I found another.» No, Aaron Brothers… YOU are in luck… lucky that I purchased from you. Going forward, I’m going to go out of my way to shop at another, less convenient Aaron Brothers. This particular Aaron Brothers has had too many «repeat performances» in the way of failed customer service for me.

Selection was minimal. No one to be found to help. The store was a mess.

We went in last night to get something for my mother in law custom framed. Stefanie was super helpful in creating a design with custom matting and framing that we know she is going to love!
We went in there not having a clue what we were doing and left knowing that she will have her artwork displayed in something she will be proud of.
Retail Me Not App helped us save a ton of money as well. Ask for Stefanie, you wont be disappointed!

This tends to be one of the nicer employed locations. In that I mean the employees are friendly and actually quite knowledgeable in what the store has in stock.
With that said, however, if the store isn’t that crowded, you can find yourself being approached by several different employees asking if they can be of any assistance. Much appreciated, but can get a little annoying. But I’d much rather have that then not being able to find someone who can help when you need them as is the case with several other Aaron Brothers I’ve been too.

Once again this Aaron Brothers store in Lake Forest came to my rescue when I recently found an old picture that I wanted to frame.
I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on this project and with the help of Carolina at this store I managed to get a great looking frame and nice matting at a good price. They offer an inexpensive matte cutting and picture framing service and they had it finished in three days. Now I have a real nice professional looking framed picture at an affordable price.
Yes — they do offer more expensive framing and I have used that service on about three or four other occasions and each time I was delighted with the results.
Thanks again to the staff at this store.

Plus plenty of art supplies and also art «stuff» for children.
Employees are chipper and helpful.

Very helpful staff, lots of frames in different sizes and styles. Actually the store is packed with tons of generic, general size frames. Very good selection. And they do custom frames too. With the penny sale, the prices are just right!
Don’t worry if you miss the penny sale, the next event is January! So save your pennies!
