Buyer Beware! I had been looking for a longer dresser for a while. The saleswoman at Annas knew I was a serious buyer. She had my name to call if something matching the dimensions I needed came in. When she called this morning I dropped everything to go up there. One of the pieces was PERFECT. And I saw two coordinating side chests as well. I wasn’t sure about all three pieces but told the saleswoman the dresser was perfect. I asked if she could hold them so that I could measure for the side chests and meet with my decorator, which was scheduled for 3:30 that afternoon. She said they would hold until the end of the business day. An important nuance here is that the saleswoman and I talked a while-she told me her daughter was also looking for a similar dresser-bottom line, this woman knew I was really pumped about finding the particular dresser. Fast forward to 4:29 pm when I was in the middle of my meeting with my decorator and my phone rang. I did not recognize the number as I do not have Anna’s MM in my contacts so I let it go to voicemail. When my decorator left about 5:15 I called the number back. It was 5:21. Val answered and said she sold the dresser. She said she called and that someone else wanted it so she sold it. Seriously? After our conversation? She could have at least called back a second time to alert me to the fact that someone was trying to reach me urgently. She could have cared less that I dropped everything earlier that day and was there within an hour of her call, that I expressed very serious interest but just needed to confirm the purchase of 3 vs 1 piece, and that I had a meeting with my decorator that afternoon-which I even said in passing could go a couple hours. All she was interested in was making a sale. And by the way, if you are reading this Val, I know those drawers were rebuilt– and you probably did too. It didn’t matter to me but you could have at least been honest and told me so when I asked. Or worse, maybe you didn’t even know.(see review of Nancy P). Im not sure about how I feel about continuing to shop there. I prefer to give my business to people who work with me not against me.

Just finished placing my new table and chairs… WONDERFUL! Been looking for a unique table for a small space. Shopped around for about a year. Have visited Anna’s location several times during my search. Always found something cool and interesting, just not the right table, until this weekend. Thank you to the staff. My request was on their«wanted» list and when the perfect retractable table came in I got a call. Prices are competitive and negotiable. I highly recommend a visit. Be prepared to browse and expect many eye-catching treasures.

Prices are high and generally the sales people can tell you very little about what you are buying. Everything is as is and beware that they put heavy, colored wax on furniture to hide a bad finish or oil to enhance the finish. We were told a table was antique, it wasn’t, we were told it was oak, it wasn’t. We ultimately spent $ 500 to remove the heavy dark wax as it came off by simply dusting the table and to refinish the top. You can find some nice things but rarely at a bargain and be very skeptical regarding what the sales people tell you.

You can find some awesome stuff in this place. I go there about once a month and browse around. Almost always there is something so cool that it has to be mine. The best purchase was a Schwinn bike, lime green, with chopper handle bars AND a banana seat! I had one as a kid. Ask for Jackie!
