Every time we have come here the food has been fantastic. This place is a great secret — there should be a line outside every night, but we can always get a table.

Order takeout, and you won’t be disappointed. Portions are generous, food was cooked to perfection, and spicy was as advertised. Would love to option to dine in, but the stern/mean lady we gave our money to was intimidated and didn’t exactly provide a welcoming atmosphere. Dining area was small anyway. Based on food and value for takeout, however, this place would be five stars easily. We ordered the pad thai, the glass noodle salad, and the red curry. Cannot wait to go back!

Don’t know whether to get Thai or Chinese food? Well now you don’t have to choose at Diho Siam. Sounds like I’m writing their TV commercial… They have really spruced up this shopping center… like a LOT. It looks really nice and modern now so kudos to all the stores. Let’s bring our focus back to this restaurant. Been coming here for a while if we’re in the area or when I use to live around here. Their menu has a Chinese side and a Thai side. They have a good range of items to select from. We usually end up ordering from both sides because that’s the whole fun of this place. Some favorite items are the crying tiger, soups, most of the noodles, and it is a cliché but the orange chicken is really good here. It is a bit on the sweeter side but it is super crispy and fresh! It is one of the better ones I’ve had anywhere. Last time we went with my parents and brother for my dads bday. My mom who is very picky actually enjoyed the food, especially the Mapo Tofu(mabo tofu). Service here is on and off. They are family owned so sometimes it’s only two people working. So far we’ve received decent service. There are enough seats for multiple families and is a good option for family dinners or casual dining.

Amazing!!! This is one of my favorite Thai spots! I always leave happy. The customer service is great, its never too packed. The parking in the center is the only bad thing!

I used to come to Diho Siam pretty often when I used to live in Lake Forest considering that the Thai food they have here is pretty good and priced reasonably well. Even though we now live in Irvine, my girlfriend and I decided we wanted Thai food for dinner last night and came here after a Costco run. I’m usually a big fan of Pad Thai when coming to any Thai cuisine, but decided to change it up and try out other things on the menu. Thai Iced Tea(3⁄5): Nothing too special here really… if anything it’s like any other Thai Iced Tea I’ve ever had before. I think $ 3.00 for one of these is a tad bit pricey, considering I make just as good of a one at home with the tea leaves and some condensed milk. Spicy Meat Salad(4⁄5): My first time trying this dish out. Surprisingly it came out to be pretty delicious and the meat is cooked and seasoned well. The only thing that got me a little bit disappointed was that I was expecting literally a salad with just meat and no veggies and the portion was smaller than I would like. However, it is a salad and can’t say that I’m surprised you get enough to just satisfy your hunger pains until the entrée comes out. Green Jungle Curry(4⁄5): Decided to get this with just the scallops instead of the seafood combo. Not sure if I regretted my decision or indifferent, but I was worried that the amount of scallops given in the seafood combo would consists of only a couple of them. The overall taste and quality of the curry though was pretty spot on to what you’d expect from any Thai restaurant. Although the scallop route as a protein wasn’t too bad, I think I’ll opt for the beef next time for any other curry I try here.

The curry wasn’t really what I expected, but that is my fault for trying to be adventurous. It had been a while, but I always enjoyed the orange chicken here in the past.

Ordered over the phone a pick up order to go. 1) Was not told my total price. 2) Was not told the additional $ 2.00 for shrimp. 3) Lady at the cash register did not understand me when I told her the above 2 points. 4) Kept repeating to me that«usually the customers know the additional $ 2.00 charge» 5) Kept telling me the new total for a new order without the shrimp bc she forgot I had already given her my credit card 6) Was not greeted. 7) Was stared down by the Mexican lady server over the counter due to this encounter. 8) They did not apologize for the non-communication. 9) $ 8.45 for a LUNCH plate is OUTRAGEOUS. It’s higher than all the other 3 Thai places in Lake Forest. 10) no parking 11) WASTEDMYTIME spent ordering over the phone and waiting for a new order to be cooked. 12) 15−20min wait even tho cooking this takes 5min and I called at 1:30pm when lunch was already dying down. Never returning.

definitely loved the service at this location! Came in with a group of friends one night and the lady behind the cash register was so friendly! You could tell that she has regulars because she had a lot of inside jokes with many of the customers. She was really great about splitting our bill and went out of her way to make sure that we were all comfortable and happy while we dined there with her. PROTIP: they have an amazing lunch menu. Basically, it’s most of their normal dinner menu stuff for a lot cheaper! I’m definitely gonna try to come back for lunch one day. Beef Pad SeeEw: –I love it when my dish is on the sweet side, and this was no exception. All the food tasted really good actually(tried my friend’s Pad Thai and Ra Na??) You get crunch chips as appetizers when you sit too(no charge!) and then you get a fortune cookie at the end of the meal. Definitely coming back to this location when i’m craving thai food!

I came here yesterday with a friend. It was my second time there. I got the Pad Thai the first time I came, and that came out pretty good. Yesterday, I got the Spicy Noodles, and that was definitely good. Flavorful, but not as spicy as I was expecting. Since it’s a Thai place, I figured it’d be more spicier. But it was pretty mild. Service was ok, a bit slow to take our order, but we didn’t seem to notice because we were too busy talking. The place isn’t too noisy, so you’re able to have a decent conversation with the company you’re with, which is definitely a good thing. Parking was ok for a Saturday afternoon. A bit packed, but not too hard to find. There’s construction going on in that plaza right now, so the parking lot’s a bit more cramped. All in all, I will only come back here if someone suggests it. The food is definitely good, flavorful, but it makes me fall asleep, so it’s not for me. I’d recommend it if you want some Thai food in South County. I know they also offer Chinese food, but I’ve never tried it.

This place has a menu for Thai and one for Chinese food, the lady that owns this place is also called the«Soup Nazi» because she will not make any changes to her dishes, she servers everything as prepared. Quantities are quite large here you could probably share a dish and an appetizer, unfortunately the quality is average, I have tried the crispy duck here once and it was dry and non-appetizing, this last time I had the Mongolian beef that is extremely salty it came with an eggroll that was good and some kind of fried rice. Some of my co-workers love the spicy noodle, which is a Thai dish. If you want a quick lunch with plenty of average food this place is good.

Been eating thai food for about seven years now and id tried many places so far Diho beats them all. Every time i walk in or order over the phone the staff is always super friendly always a tentative of something as simple as filling up my glass of water to paying for my bill. Love this place, Great food period.

This is my go to place for Thai in the area whether it be dine in or take out. Service is always on point. Place is kept clean and well managed. Selection is the same as their other location by Triangle Square. The portion sizes are generous, even when its off their lunch menu, which is easily shareable between two people. There’s been occasions where I’ve visited and the food isn’t as good as the last time(maybe it’s the change in cooks?). Only con, they never seem to have sticky rice whenever I visit.

I have been here 4 times now(including 1 time at a different location), and I have always found the food to be well above average. So why does it only have 3.5 stars? I have no idea. My only guess is that they are inconsistent about with their food and their service, but to date I have yet to have any upset with them. This is definitely my go to place for Thai. Large portions, nice home cooked meals, and not drenched in grease like many other Thai-Chinese establishments. The absolute best Pad Thai I have ever had comes out of this place here, and I am not a big Pad Thai kinda gal either! Their yellow curry is a close second and the spicy noodles are always a win too!

Service: Speedy/great; cooks do not wear hair nets so be aware of loose hair in your food! We sat down and our drink order was taken immediately. The food order and time to get our food was quick too(impressive during noon lunch hour). The lady taking our order was difficult to understand but that is ok she was really nice. Food: I recommend the Grilled Sole Fillet with Ginger Mango Salsa! The yellow curry lunch special with chicken was good but nothing special(coconut milk cream was not too creamy and flavors were a good blend; you can taste the freshness). It came with a soup of the day or side salad option and I opted for the sweet and sour soup. Wrong choice hah, there was a long black hair which made it a sour choice; the soup was not impressive either(too salty) :-/switched to a salad. The brown rice substitute(+1 up charge) was worth it(ancient grain) I recommend the Grilled Sole Fillet with Ginger Mango Salsa. The flavors blend very well together and the ingredients are fresh. My only gripe is that sole fish was a little too oily otherwise the ginger mango salsa(with Jícama, apple slices, ginger) was a perfect blend of spicy and flavors that make the taste buds dance. The cashew nuts are a good crunchy addition to the salad! Check it out for yourself but be aware of potential for hair in your food!

Came here for lunch and it was nearly empty. I actually wanted to try the Vietnamese restaurant a few doors down, but there were 4 parties in front of me on the wait list. I didn’t want to wait in the cold so decided to come to Diho instead. Surprisingly, the Thai food was pretty delish. I got papaya salad, beef Thai fried rice, spicy seafood spaghetti & beef Raad Naa. Everything was tasty. I will definitely be back. Nom nom nom.

I’m done… done with Thai… I clearly do not like this regional cuisine. I’ve tried various Thai hot-spots…and left sad. I’ve eaten curry dishes, Crying Tiger and Pad Thai… and never a winner. Luckily for me Diho Siam boasts ½ Thai and ½ Chinese, you just flip your menu over! 5 star winners: House Special Chicken/New Year Chicken and Beef Lo Mein: and I normally only like all white breast meat, and this had other«parts» but damn it was frigging awesome! I almost didn’t try it, but when Jess proclaimed it a big wow I had to. Think chicken coated and deep fried(pish posh, forget about the calories!), then a sort of sweet/sour sauce, but more savory, and to finish it, small parts were so crispy crunchy that it was almost like they had somehow melded pork rinds on to it. Seriously New Year Chicken was bomb! The Beef Lo Mein was basic but also fabulous, with the perfect size soft noodle, not thin, but not too thick. The beef was tender, and the not-complicated bean sprouts and green onions accompanied with a delicious soy based sauce, that all the ingredients picked up on. 2 – 4 star could use work: Pineapple Fried Rice(Thai), hubby liked this dish, but it’s filled with shrimp so I didn’t partake, but he liked it and felt it was 3 star. Yellow Curry Beef(Thai) was 2 star with bland curry, a somewhat watery sauce and the beef wasn’t tender. BBQ Pork(Chinese) was 3 star with tasty and tender pork in a gravy type sauce, which seems a bit different than I’ve had in the past, but it was good. Tidbits: We came here due to a coupon for 20% off entire meal, nice. I also had it bookmarked thanks to a few Unilocal friends, Al S. and Suki B. The service was a bit slow, but in all fairness we came towards the end of the dinner rush and once it had cleared out a bit, service got quicker, better and friendlier. My beautiful daughter Jess picked up the tab, what a nice treat! I will definitely be back for more Chinese food and hubby wants to try the Thai duck.
