Really wonderful little family Mexican bakery in old strip mall. Heading to a party, bought chocolate flan and strawberry/​peach tres leche servings. We all raved about how fresh and not overly sweet. Several wanted the bakery name. Not a fancy place but worth the trip.

Tres Leche cake was the bet I’ve ever had ! I want more! It was so moist and milky I tested multiple different bakery’s but by far this was the best one! I had it for my birthday and it made it all the way to Arizona and was still delicious the next couple of day after cutting into it.

Thank God for the NEW OWNERS! This place was good at one point and then it was sold to a husband and wife who didn’t care about selling stale old breads and pastries! They would leave the doors wide open and it was hotter than hell in there. The husband was this little creepy dude. Anyway, I was thinking all the good Mexican sweet breads were no more!
I noticed clean windows and a customer coming out and said there were now New Owners! They were actually Mexicans too! Awesome, so went in and noticed the cleaner air, nice new glass displays which are cooled. You can feel the coldness when you touch the display. Anyway, grabbed like 6 or 7 assorted sweet breads. The prices are very reasonable to the low side, another plus! So seriously and finally FRESH sweet breads! We all enjoyed them all with some nice cold non fat milk at home! Oh my goodness! And NO I don’t drink non fat milk to save on fat… lol just because its not as thick and creamy! (sounded nasty, not intentional haha)!

5+ stars We have been going here for bread for several years and always enjoy a fresh challah. I called Wednesday night to order some for Thursday and the lady who took my order said they open at 6am and we can come early since they are closing early for Christmas Eve. When I got there at 9:30am it wasn’t going to be ready for another 20+ mins and I had my family waiting in the car and was not able to return. The gentleman in the store (and I am sorry I did not get his name) handled the situation amazingly. He offered to drop it off at our house in the afternoon which was very nice especially on Christmas Eve. When they dropped it off they also left some extra treats. That gentleman went above and beyond and had exemplary customer service. I highly recommend them and their baked goods are always good. Thank you!

I used to love this place for their tres leches cake. They recently changed ownership and the place isn’t the same. Even the pastries are lacking. The only thing I still enjoy is the rainbow cake. Reminds me of gansitos.

We ordered a birthday cake for our daughter a week ago. Upon the pick up time today we were told it still wasn’t ready. They offered a 9 dollar discount on an already 114 dollar 8″ cake. Horrid customer service and a sad way to do business for customers. Highly recommend not using them for time sensitive projects.

My son and his friends loved his birthday cake. I am glad I found this shop on Unilocal!I chose the chocolate cake with fresh peach. It tasted surprisingly good and not too sweet. I would come back again.

Did this place change ownership again?
10 days before: I ordered cake and a set of cupcakes. Verified flavors and paid a deposit. The decorator wasn’t there, so I texted the picture.
8 days before: Finally get a response that she got my text.
3 days before: Tried to verify everything was ok and the cake was doable
No response.
1 day before: finally spoke to decorator. Had to call back, she didn’t have my son’s name. Didn’t ask for it. Even though in gave it to her the first day.
Day of: TRIED TO CHARGE MORE FOR THE CAKE AND CUPCAKES. ($ 63 for 8 in cake and 18 cupcakes, wanted more)
I wasn’t going to write this review because they begrudgingly honored our agreement. I’m pretty sure the cupcakes were old. The cupcakes were so hard o couldn’t stick my fork through it.
What awful business practices.
The lady said she can call me. She can call me to discuss (im assuming charging me mote) but she’s not getting another cent from me. This would end differently if I got edible product.

I must have grown up on amazing Mexican sweet bread because this place was just ok. Don’t get me wrong, it satisfied my pregnancy craving, but the conchas weren’t as soft as expected even though I arrived at 9am. The orejas de elephante were drenched in sugar which made them really hard instead of light and flaky. I’ll keep coming here until I can find a better panaderia.

Awesome people here — my friend got married yesterday and their baker had a schedule conflict so they were informed that they had no cake 5 hours before the wedding. I called them up and asked if they would be able to help me out. Within 2 hours they were able to create a beautiful wedding styled 2-​tier cake probably at a price much cheaper than a normal wedding cake would normally cost. Thanks for saving the day, ladies!

Best panaderia in South OC! It’s a mom pops shoppe and they make heavenly Mexican breads, special occasion yummies and other artisan breads

Great cakes! Ordered a marble cake with fresh strawberry filling and it was delicious! A little pricier than I expected but was well worth the $$. Definitely a bakery worth trying out!
They were able to customize the cake with just a few days notice! It looked and tasted great!

I came for one thing: tres leches cake.
It was in the fridge as you walk in and pretty great on a hot day. They also have a pretty good flan and choco-​flan as well. I didn’t try anything else but I’ll definitely be back!

I ordered my son’s birthday cake and cupcakes at this place and I couldn’t be happier with my order.
The tres leches cake was so moist and delicious and the strawberry cream filling was awesome! I had many guests ask me for a second slice… it was so good!
Now I didn’t get a chance to try the cupcakes because they were gone before I knew it. The kids absolutely loved them!!! I ordered chocolate, vanilla and strawberry cupcakes with blue buttercream frosting and I topped them with my own Twinkie minions and they looked so adorable.
I will definitely order my cakes from this place from now on, great customer service and reasonable prices.
