As donut places go, their selection is a bit limited. The cake donuts themselves have a nice slight crunch on the outside with a soft crumb in the middle. Service was friendly. And he took the time to let my waffling 2 year old pick her donut… But why a 5 star review? THETAMALES! Look, if you’re going here for anything other than tamales you’re doing it wrong. I had the pork and the jalapeño cheese. Rarely if ever do I get a tamale with such a great ratio of filling. But these are heavy on flavor, and heavy on filling. The pork has just right amount of smoky guajillo chile, and the jalapeño cheese was the perfect balance between rich creamy cheese, and spicy chile. I like supporting local business when I can, and this won’t be a hard sell for me to make, just try the Tamales and you’ll be a convert too.

The best donuts in OC. If your looking for anything else go someplace else. Henry’s good old style donuts are the best. Donuts are just that Donuts.

Nice place!!! Always friendly service and the pasties/donuts/croissants are delicious. The muffins there are the best around. They’re not all«cakey» like a lot of other places.

Came to get some doughnuts for my coworkers. No doughnuts? Um aren’t you a doughnut shop? Never coming back

Bought 2 different pastry’s — one apple fritter and another long skinny thing that was supposed to have some fruit filling. Taste Result– the apple fritter has ZERO apple pieces in it. very faint taste of apple if imagination stretched. There was a very thing streak of filling in the other pastry — about the thickness of a piece of yarn. Plus the pastry was brittle meaning it was at least a day old. I will not go back. The Taylor reviewer is probably crazy of is a fake posting.

Definitely recommended! I’m a REALLY picky doughnut connoisseur, and have had a pretty hard time find a decent shop around here. Most other places either have doughnuts which are too old, or add preservatives(extra sweetners) to extend shelf life. Henry makes them fresh day of(not 10 pm the night before like many other places), and I actually could feel the warmth of one I bought this morning. Now that’s good quality! My picks — buttermilk old fashioned and a sugar twist. 5 stars for being close to my work and home, for freshness, and for quality of ingredients. Worth coming by!

NEVERCOMINGHEREAGAIN! Sorry for the caps, but this place sucks! Went here this morning(5:00am) to get a ham and cheese croissant and the guy just grabs one from the fridge and microwaves it! WHATTHEFUCK?! Was that from yesterday?! It was nasty and soggy too, i cant believe i even ate it! After that gross experience i drove over to the Donut Storr on Los Alisos on the way home for a ham and cheese and theirs were fresh out the oven, warm and nice and fluffy!

Henry’s Donuts is an amazing donut shop. There is no citrus flavor to the cake donuts like many other donut places do. The fritters are of perfect consistency where the middle of the fritter is soft and gooey but cooked all the way. Also, the jalapeño ham and cheese is a mouthwatering warm bite on the way to work. Henry’s Donuts stands out from the rest of Donutdom.
