Jewels of Lake Forest

As the store name suggests, this jewelry store is a jewel of Lake Forest. The women who work at this store are very helpful, sweet, and knowledgable. Plus, the collection of jewelry is UNREAL. They have all the top designers, such as my personal favorite Kwiat, and do a fabulous job at customization as well. It is so nice to have them on the North Shore!

In ²⁄₂₀₁₁ I took at $ 5K enternity to band to this jeweler for repair and to replace a stone and asked that all prongs be tightened. The cost was a bit high, over $ 450.00, but I paid it thinking I’d get what I paid for.
I wore the ring approximately five times and was gentle with it because that was what they suggested. I then lost a stone again. When I called the jewler to ask that the ring be repaired, expecting to pay for the stone but that the labor would be free, the woman who owns the store was very snobby and rude and suggested, essentially, that she would not stand behind her repair. Needless to say, given their attitude and unwillingness to stand behind the repair, I won’t be back and won’t be recommending this jeweler to my friends.
If you don’t stand behind your work, you’re no better than a big box chain jeweler and don’t deserve patronage in this economy.
