This place is a big scam!
I purchased three tattoo removal treatments for 120.00 during consultation I was told that all needed, fast forward 3 months later there been NO visible change in the tattoo! I then meet and consult with them again, and I’m told I need 10 – 14 more treatments! Wth? And get a load of this it would be 1500.00 for 10 more treatments! I’m outraged with the nerve of this business to up up the prices more than 100 percent! I also will be informing the Better Business Bureau!

Well, true to my gender/​sexuality stereotype as a straight dude, I don’t know much about cosmetic services. But, speaking strictly from a consumer standpoint, this place is pretty legit imo. I’ve been coming here for about 9 months, having purchased a tattoo removal package. I’ve found the staff to be very friendly, capable and professional here. I haven’t had to wait long for appointments, and the sessions themselves are quick.
I wanted to offer some caveats to getting a tattoo removed, so that you can manage your expectations though:
— Both of my tattoos I’m having removed are just black ink, but one was almost «blackout» black, the other, just «pretty black». After 5 – 6 sessions, the very dark one is maybe 20−30% faded, the «somewhat» dark one is about 65%ish faded.
— Tattoo removal is ultra expensive. Both of the tats in question cost about $ 250 total. multiply that by about 8 or 9 and you’re in the ballpark for the removal package price.
— It’s (highly) possible that the very dark one will still be visible when I’ve completed all the package sessions. I’m debating getting a cover-​up tattoo. and if you’re thrify/​broke, that might be a better option to begin with.
— There are no refunds if the tattoo isn’t removed. Yes, that sucks, but they’re up-​front about it.
— Tattoo removal is PAINFUL, especially the first time, when you don’t know what to expect. It’s about twice as painful as *receiving* the tattoo. There’s also the discomforting smell of burnt ham permeates the air as the laser chars your flesh. that might just be me/​my skin, though.
All-​in-​all, I would recommend these guys, even though their service is expensive and painful. If I had a time machine, I would definitely go back and slap my teenage self upside the head before I made the two poor life choices that lead me here, but c’est la vie.

Love this place. I am Persian and have dark hair. My hair has slowed and I’ve seen a major reduction in appearance. Glad I got a package! Everyone is great here.

I found out about Laser Away when I purchased a 3 treatment $ 208 tattoo removal package via Groupon. At my consultation the Laser Away Sales Rep told me it was not that great of a deal to buy from Groupon. For me to see the results I want I would need to buy a package of at least 10 at $ 2400. I was advised I would need 18 sessions before it’s removed. For special pricing I would need to buy today or was offered financing.
I walked out of Laser Away without using my Groupon and I’m completely discouraged to even begin. Paying up front for packages, when it will take me at least 2 years to use up, what guarantee do I have that Laser Away will still be open? What incentive do you guys have to remove the tattoo each treatment if you know I will keep coming back and buying more sessions? Laser Away seems to be a total upselling/​scam/​ripoff and I will be contacting Groupon regarding my experience.
I feel like I wasted my money buying the Laser Away Groupon and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Second session is done and my hair hasn’t grown out yet.
Well, technically it did (I had my session four days ago), but the growth is very little. Pain is still the same.
The first session I didn’t do the brazilian, and the second session I didn’t do brazilian or bikini. The nice thing is they stated that I could do those on a separate appointment (the pain and all). I really like the customer service here :)

They deserve no star. The laser service is good but the second manager is horrible. She is the rudest person you could see in any business. The first time I went I think it was Olivia and it was Saturday. I was greeted very friendly and she made me to purchase two packages. I even recommended a friend to go there. Today they made me to not even go back for my third session which I’ve already purchased. I am going to look for a second manager and the girl at reception’s name and update my review with a new name but figured to post this since this was the first time that I am seeing in such a big business this way of treating. Won’t go back and won’t recommend to anybody.

I had high expectations for this place, sad to give it one star but was an entire waste of money and most of all, time. I frequently visited Laser Away in Santana row in San Jose when I lived there and each visit was a great experience. When moving to OC, I found that there was one close by my new location so I decided to give it a try.
I bought a package of laser tattoo removal through Laser Away, completed all sessions in my package and did not even make a dent in the results of my tattoo being gone. Keep in mind, it’s in the easiest location to remove a tattoo, very tiny tattoo and faded black ink. I used to work for a cosmetic surgeon in the Bay Area and have done 4 prior treatments with my doctor. Each time I could see a little difference in the fading even after one session. All my sessions with Laser Away, it looks exactly the same as when I started a year ago.
Very disappointing. I strongly believe they lower the frequency of the laser. I even mentioned it in my last session, the nurse stated that stick to one place to get it removed and each time we will make the frequency higher. Each time I asked how many more sessions till this is completely removed, depending on who I talked to I would get a different answer of how many more I needed and would try to up sell on packages. Red flag.
I have no problem getting packages or paying full price but don’t have the time to go in every 6 weeks to see no results. I do love Laser Away and will use another locations for future services but would never recommend them for tattoo removal. Everyone else’s reviews are accurate, wish I saw them before. Thanks to another Unilocaler, I have an appointment scheduled for ERderm to finish off the one or two more treatments at max left on removing this tattoo. Save your money and most of all your time!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. It’s all about the up sell. I purchased a Groupon for 3 tattoo removal sessions. I went to the first two and noticed NOTHING happened. They told me it would take 16 treatments to remove a tattoo on my finger.
Needless to say, I found another place, ERderm in Newport Beach, and they have a much better laser. It’s a little more expensive but even after the first treatment my tattoo significantly faded.
I went back to LaserAway today for my last Groupon session. The nurse seemed to have no idea what she was doing. Also, I watched her turn the laser down to the lowest frequency possible. The removal didn’t even hurt; that’s how low the frequency was. And, she didn’t even go over all of the tattoo.
I would never recommend this place for tattoo removal to anyone. And every time I have had an appointment they call me and change the time. Every. Single. Time.
I feel like I wasted my money buying this Groupon and if I could go back I wouldn’t purchase it.

I went in this afternoon for my free first time consultation with Alivia! And I was pleasantly surprised at how nicely I was treated, how clean the facility is, how direct and efficient our consult went was amazing! So great I bought the biggest package I could! I can’t wait for my first treatment! I am ready to be hair-​free!!!

A+ for the treatment I received and the super sweet & helpful nurse, but scheduling an appointment here is a nightmare.
I waited an hour and a half the first time I came here, even though I’d made an appointment in advance. They put me back in one of the private rooms and had me wait 45 minutes, then the receptionist came in and said I should go grab some lunch and come back in an hour. SERIOUSLY??!
The few other times I tried to set up follow-​up appointments, the girls at the front desk called me the day before and asked me to come in earlier/​later or even cancelled my appointment.
I finally had my follow-​up appointment this morning and they had me wait half an hour to see the nurse.

I went in for my consultation on a Friday afternoon with Erin. I was relieved that unlike many people’s experiences with upselling, Erin first wanted to make sure I understood the process of laser hair removal and got any questions answered before moving on to pricing. I was not pressured into buying something I didn’t want and was offered the best pricing options. They provided payment options and set me up for my first appointment in a timely manner. I also did want to mention that I was promised a call back and did indeed receive one. I will review again after my first treatment. Thank you Laser Away!
So this is an update as I promised. I went for my first treatment last week. It was fast and almost painless. Everyone was nice and I felt comfortable. I definitely look forward in coming back!

The staff is professional, accommodating and personable. I highly recommend them and am so great full for what they’ve done!

The staff at Lake Forest is fabulous! Alivia is a sweetheart and so personable. I moved over an hour away and still drive to this location (even thought there are other closer locations) because I know I’ll get excellent treatment by the staff here. The procedures are also great — I get the clear & brilliant facial and I always feel like I have brand new skin after. I also get hair removal treatments and am so pleased with the results so far! Just a few more treatments to go!

I have nothing but good to things to say about laser away. because of moving I have actually been to a couple of their facilities and both were a pleasant experience.
The facilities are very clean, the staff is very professional and you can tell they are well trainned. During the actual treatment the operators are explain to you what they are doing, what results you can expect to see and what after care is needed.
I checked with several other providers and no one had the same up to date equipment as laseraway.
The company sends out surveys after each of your treatments to make sure that your experience was good and they take your input seriously.
When I moved I went to a different company due to their proximity to my home but immediately returned to laseraway because the drive was more than worth it.

This is the worst place ever! Bad and incompetent customer service. They can’t even remember to call clients when they promise to for an appointment who have been trying to get a simple tattoo removed for over a year now. Again they put my daughters appointment on the wrong day and again she has to go back and we are 12 miles away so they owe us for gas money. We do not have time to have these screw ups. We are on treatment #9 and still only slightly faded. How do they even stay in business?

I love this laser away They provide me good experiences Alivia the manager is great and the nurses are awesome! I am a client since 3 years and I am very happy. I put 4 stars because I have purchase 3 time a paquage for laser hair removal lips and no results so far but all my other area are doing great so I don’t know why that’s why I am not putting 5 stars but overall I am happy.
