I’m sorry Moncafe, but I have to take away a star. I stopped in this morning for a latte, and found that it was more bitter than I had expected. Being the weird coffee drinker that I am, I never drink all of the coffee, regardless of the size. So, when I went to the kitchen to dump the remaining coffee down the sink before throwing away the cup, I was surprised to see quite a few coffee grounds in the bottom of the cup. I guess that explains the bitterness! Maybe your baristas need to work on their espresso skills?

A great coffee place in the middle of lake forest, can be hard to find (it’s behind the Bank of America). Terrific service and quality, fantastic patio seating that also has some great shade for unbearable days. Much better than the only other option in Lake Forest (Starbucks). Also prices are much more reasonable (…yet better quality espresso and grinds, hmm). They also have Gelato, and some amazing baked goods (the berry muffin is out of this world). Tons of space to meet with a big group of friends, a duo, and also excellent for just some coffee for one.
