Wow is right! Since I know how important reviews are to a business, I have to agree with Russ M. I have taken my 3 children to see Dr. Brody and Dr. Henderson for years and they are wonderful optometrists. Situations occur and sometimes appointments run late! Entertaining a 6 year old? C’mon. Easy peasy.

Ive been going here for the last 3 years on the recommendation of a friend. Now even my mother goes here. The doctors are friendly and caring, and really work to help find the right solutions for you. As a family with«difficult» eyes(I’ve tried nearly every brand of contacts due to dry eyes and allergies and guess what — bi focal contacts exist!) I’ve really appreciated the time Dr Brody spent helping me be able to see, and see comfortably. There glasses selection changes with relative frequency so if you dont see anything you like, try again in a month. Their reception staff and techs have always been really helpful. Would definitely recommend this place. Only 4 stars out of 5 because sometimes you do have to wait.

Wow, really felt the need to balance out the other review. I think that the doctors here take the time to really understand and listen, and perhaps that’s the reason for the other reviewer’s delay in the waiting room. I know that can be frustrating, and having gone there now for 4 years, I can say that the wait is minimal, and that they are surprisingly efficient with the exam. My previous opto took 2 hours for the exam. Here, I’m in and out, the vision is great, the fit is great, and I really trust Dr. Brody. And I’ve worn contacts now for 32 years, and been to MANY optometrists in that time, and this is clearly the class of the bunch. When I go I feel I’m getting 5 star everything.

An optometrist is an optometrist. It’s not the same as visiting a physician. So when I showed up for the state-required eye exam for my kid, I was surprised to find he was running behind and we were stuck in their storefront for 45 minutes. Absolutely unforgivable. I complained to the woman up front and she asked if I wanted to reschedule. Actually, they should have called beforehand rather than wasting a huge chunk of time. Let alone making me entertain a 6yo in a room full of expensive fragile glasses. So to say the level of customer service was subpar would be an understatement. So while we whittled our time away, a lot of people did come in to pick up glasses. It seems like they had a decent selection. But quite honestly I was so steaming mad when we left that I considered sicking my kid into the store and let him tornado the place. That will teach them to make me wait 45 minutes. Wait that long for a physician who is dealing with people’s health is one thing. Making someone wait to see if they need glasses(which I knew he didn’t but the optometrists must have a good lobby group to pass this unnecessary legislation) was rude and wasteful. Goodbye. Optometrists come a dime a dozen. Oh. And the only reason this place has two stars rather than one is because I actually did find some glasses that I liked. And no, I don’t wear glasses either.
