For a while now they’ve had no produce whatsoever, and their meat and prepared food section is closed up. Also, the shelves are getting bare. I asked if they were closing down, and the reply was that they were«reopening» in 10 days with some changes. It looks like it’s going out of business.

I don’t know how the service and/or the food of this place(was), but their business practices is very unethical. Every business can go south and end up closing. But not paying the bill for the merchandise bought, sold to customers and already collected your money is way too low. How do these people expect to make a decent living in a society?

Is this place in business or not? I went here today to discover no fresh meat and no produce. There was just one employe in the store and he said, «Today is not a good day for shopping.» Huh?

Has this place closed? Was looking for some Kimchee but was thrawted. I am not sure what happened with this place either but the Map apps that Unilocal directed me showed me to a place that looked like a furniture store. Thee place looked like ti could have been a grocery store but was recently turned in a couch place. I was right in front of where the little red dot was at too. I find it strange that there are no other reviews of this store this year either …

Just OK! So I am giving 3 Stars. Here are why: Pros: Clean, organized, fairly freshly produce, and daily baked bread and daily cooked food at reasonable price. Easy to get to, lots of parking, and lighting and setup inside is great and professional. Cons: Sometimes it feels like a night club. There is crazy dance music going in the background that is way too loud! Then sometimes you deal with some young workers that seems like they are recovering from the night before. They little smile, they hardly ask«can I help you» or try to upsell. I used to manage small stores I know how much a little smile and good customer service can help boost sales and customers loyalty. If they do fix these things, I edit my review and rating.

Pars is a local ethnic supermarket in the south OC that specializes in Persian groceries, but Indian, Asian, and Hispanic items were also spotted. The store outfits a meat market with a confident slogan«meat that makes vegetarians cheat». It is the Lake Forest version of a mini Wholesome Choice. The reason why I stop by Pars weekly is for their two international food stalls, Kebob Seray and Patatez. You can order food from the counter and dine in at the patio outside the grocery store. Kebob Seray specializes in kabobs and Persian food. I’ve tried it twice and recommend their juicy beef koobideh kebob, served with steamed basmanti rice and fresh grilled vegetables. The kebobs are grilled on-site and prepared within 15 minutes. Sumac seasoning is given on the side for those who want additional tart flavor over the basmanti rice. The Kebob Seray stall also features weekly specials and everyday Persian stews like ghormeh sabzi, fesenjoon, and gheymeh. I have also sampled Kebob Seray’s adas polo with chicken, which consisted of basmanti rice with lentils, raisins, and dates, topped with boiled chicken thigh and leg. The rice itself could have been a standalone dish since it was well seasoned with flavors. This is an excellent lunch dish. Patatez is the Turkish food stall. You must try their Iskender kabob, a national dish from northwest Turkey, and the signature pata, which is a Turkish pizza on pita bread. The Iskender kabob was unique to me because I had never seen anything like it in LA. The plate included beef shawarma with tomato sauce, cooked on top of chopped pita bread. The dish resembled a dissected gyro. The thick Turkish yogurt that was served on the side was an excellent dip for the remaining pita bread that I had. After eating at the food stalls, you can shop at the supermarket. Pars Supermarket bakes their pita bread in a special oven and sell it for only $ 1.00/4pc! They also bake a Persian bread called sangak. The sangak is the size of my bathroom rug and is sold for only $ 2.29! This is the same type of bread that everyone is lining up for at Wholesome Choice in Irvine. Pars is an exceptional local grocery store with many delicious ethnic items. If any of the above food interests you, be sure to bookmark it and stop by.

This place is superb. Plenty of parking, extremely clean, and great prices. The prices are slightly higher than Mission Viejo Ranch Market, but the quality is infinitely better — fresh, clean, and delicious. The range of ethnic food is fantastic and isn’t limited just to Persian food and wonderful specialty items. I got Asian and French nommers. The kabobs are fantastic and the butchers are so much nicer here with amazing quality and service. This place is DEFINITELY worth the trip.

This market is brightly lit and very clean which isn’t always the case with ethnic markets. Very reasonable produce prices and the produce has always been fresh when I’ve been there. The other day, after picking up a few things, I returned home only to realize I was missing 2 apples and 2 lemons but I did pay for them. I called the store and was told to just come on in with the receipt for replacements. I did that today and there was absolutely no question or hassle. It’s a fun place to go and explore and to try a little of this or that since they carry so many ethnic specialty foods!

What a great place; lots of ethnic specialty foods I have not seen in USA ever. As its a Persian market they carry many french related goods like my favorite spread cheese called KIRI which I have never found anywhere before in the USA. Also they carry Jarritos soda in flavors(Jamaica and Mexican Cola) which I have never seen in New York, In addition many Asian and Polish foods. The best part was that most of everything was reasonable priced. I WISHWEHADTHSIPLACEINNEWYORK! :( For all you locals enjoy this gem!

Pro: clean well stocked Persian market. Con: went for lunch at 12:15 on a Friday. No line for the ready made food, several young workers hanging behind the counter and talking. Finally(5 min later) another woman from another section comes by to help me. I got the fesenjun — two pieces of dry as bone chicken the size of my thumb and lots of oily sauce and rice. No bread, butter — nothing! For almost $ 11 with tax. For that I can get take away from any sit down Persian restaurant in the area, twice the food and twice the quality. I am uploading a picture of my food before I even touched it so you can see I am not exaggerating. A huge disappointment since my family had been looking forward to enjoying this market:(

I’m so happy to have this store opened close to my house. Very clean and neat place. They just sometimes run out of some products which is inconvenient.

Fantastic! I loved the hot food and the cleanliness… looked different from the other middle Eastern Markets… also what’s great is that you can have the labels on the prescriptions written in Farsi for the people who don’t read English. Prices were great!!!
