Oh wow the Carne asada is really good. One of my favorite spots for good, quick tasty mexican food. Everyone working there is friendly as well.

Really disappointed in the lack of customer service. They missed bagging a dozen eggs with the groceries and charged for them. I was horrified when they subjected me to analyzing the video surveillance and then escalating to the owner! The stores response is that they may be in my trunk or my freezer. Freezer really? The video was inconclusive; however, due to the treatment the owner was not bothered that I would never shop there again. So sad over $ 3.69, which they kept and I never got my eggs.

Not as big as Cardenas or El Toro, but they still have everything you could possibly need, and great meat and cheese counters.

I cannot believe that I have not rated Tula before now. Best corner market I have ever visited. The takeout counter is always busy. One visit and you will understand. I usually do a Pro-Con list, but since there are no Cons, here are some tips: 1.Order a tray of freshly cooked tortilla chips. They will still be warm when you get them home. 2. Mexican Crème is magic. Buy it at the meat counter and try it everywhere you use cream or sour cream. 3. The chicken breasts are fresher and firmer than anywhere else. 4. Check out the vegetables. Frequently they are better quality for less money than a supermarket.

Nice neighborhood Mexican grocery. The to-go food section is pretty good. The tacos are overstuffed with a variety of meats. I think a bit too much meat though. The tortillas are made in house and are fresh and soft. The chips are awesome. Salsas are pretty good, but not the best. Menudo and pozole are pretty good. Interestingly enough is that this grocery store has better tacos than most all of the dedicated taco shops in the area. They have one table outside the store to eat, that is it. Eat in your car or at home.

Food is good here. But this person behind the register not so friendly. A «superviser» named CARMEN was very rude. Working at a place like this you would think she would have good customer service. I asked a couple of the people behind the food court counter who she was, It seems like they don’t like her very much. The owner should really check on who they hire.

In need of fresh tortillas? Or how about carne asada for your next bbq? Or tamales for your next Christmas party eh? I love this store. Very convenient and it carries all of the staple items to put together a legit Mexican meal for our fiestas! Oh Yeah! The salsa, rice, tamales are all on point. They take debit card too, another plus. It’s located in the shopping center next to the Arbor in Lake Forest. Easy to find, right off the 5 fwy!

This market is simply amazing. You will find every all authentic Mexican products for making an exquisite meal. There are fresh fruits and vegetables, packaged products as well as meat products. I opted for the prepared food and ordered 4 beef tamales with red hot sauce. the tamales were hot and each were in their own corn husk with corn meal and thick chunks of tender melt in your mouth beef. Very satisfying.

I have been coming here for years, and it is always fresh and delicious! They have home made corn tortillas, a great selection of meats, and your food comes with salsa and limes. I love their chicken tacos. They load them with chicken. I sometimes order one taco, and split the meat with the two tortillas. For $ 3 you get your money’s worth! I have tried the carnitas as well and it was just ok. I prefer my carnitas crispy. I highly recommend their guacamole as well. They offer you a choice of salsa and I love the green one!!! You can also get onions and cilantro if you like. Most people here speak only Spanish. I do not speak a word of it and have never had a communication problem. They are always very nice and can help you. They also accept cards with a $ 5 minimum which is very convenient. I will continue to come here! It is such an easy spot for lunch or dinner.

I heard they sell tamales here and based on the reviews, the Al Pastor was good too. Had a craving for Tamales so made a trip down there today. FIRST the food– eh, I’ve had much better tamales from the lady selling them in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Barely any flavor and filling to corn ratio was unbalanced. The Al Pastor taco, while filled with meat, could use some salt or definitely more seasoning. SECOND, the server behind the counter was pretty rude as well and didn’t make my first experience there very pleasant. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back for tamales, tacos or anything else.

Great tamales, a very busy place. It is obvious this place does a lot of different foods, they are very busy and it shows. In addition to a dozen tamales(we mixed them so we could try their 5 different kinds), we also got a medium size Pico de Gallo salsa, which basically is fresh salsa-tomatoes, onions, jalapeño, lime, which was well made. Definitely a contender for tasty tamales for those in the area. Plenty of meats, etc, and the flavor of the different dough-masa, very good. Price for a a dozen tamales was around $ 18, the salsa $ 2?. Good deal all around. 4 Stars.

This is a small market that also makes food to order. I love their tortas, carnitas, al pastor burritos/tacos and rice. Their carne asada is missing the smokey flavor from the grill, but it’s still not bad. You can order dishes to carry out or containers of individual items. Their horchata and jamaica are also great. Very friendly staff.

Ordered the carnitas torta. Carnitas was good and it came with guac, refried bean spread, lettuce, tomato, onion, and some type of cheese that I didn’t like. Torta bread was warm and soft but would have been better if it was crispy. They also have good sized tacos for 3 bucks, burritos, among other thing. Fresh tortillas are made right from their machine in the store.

This is a Mexican market, meat counter, and Deli. They have various vegetables, canned goods, fresh baked goods, and a rather impressive meat counter. They also serve hot tamales, tacos, beans, and more at the deli counter. While you can get ready to eat food there it’s more of a market than anything else. I’ve been coming here for a year now and never had a bad experience. GOOD1: They have most of the basics for anything authentic Mexican you might need at very reasonable prices. This is a neighborhood market for the local Hispanic community. GOOD2: They open nice and early like a regular grocery store. I believe they open at 6am. GOOD3: They have an impressive meat counter with ample selections of beef, chicken, and more. They also have a great selection of Mexican style cheeses too. GOOD4: They make their own corn tortillas on site. They have some amazing equipment all in plain sight and it’s super fresh. BAD1: They don’t carry flour tortillas above 10″. If you’re looking for large burrito tortillas you’ll have to settle for 10″ tortillas or make other arrangements. BAD2: It can be hard at times to ask detailed questions if you don’t speak Spanish. Several employees there speak conversational English well enough to ask for things or complete a purchase without issues… but if you have complicated questions it might be a problem. All in all this place is really nice. I’m not Hispanic, yet I stop in here at least once a week for something. I really like their chicken tamales. They’re cheap and taste amazing. If you’re looking for ingredients for some home Mexican cooking this place will have most of what you need. I readily suggest Tula to everyone.

My review is for the take-out food portion of the market: I ordered a barbacoa burrito and it was alright but left something to be desired. They give you a lot of meat but that was all I tasted. It was pretty one dimensional even with the two salsas(green and red) they give you. The green salsa was blah and the red salsa was ok but desperately needed vinegar or lime juice. To me authentic isn’t always better and for like $ 7.50 I was expecting something more memorable. There’s a million places to get a burrito in Orange County. I’d return to the market to pick up some fresh tortillas or chilis.

Note: A huge plus — Tula Market accepts VISA& Master Card. ‘Have driven by Tula many times, always been curious about the place but not curious enough to actually stop & check it out… WTH took me so long?! This is a great, Mexican neighborhood market… It offers meat, produce, canned goods, «ready to eat» choices from sandwiches to soups. The lunch crowd has spoken! Photo — ‘From the look and sounds of the place, from the employees to the clientele, it doesn’t get more authentic than this… I could’ve sworn I heard a burrow out back! «Hee-haw mo’fo!» This place rocks! I’m kidding about the burrow but did I mention there was a little girl out front selling Chiclets & Cotton Candy…(‘Still kidding!) I know, I know, «Not politically correct…» ‘And all I have to say about that is, «PC is for p*ssies!» These are just jokes folks, don’t read too much into them than just that… ‘Jokes. Hey, I didn’t create stereotypes!.. ‘But they exist for a reason. They say Hawaiians are lazy & fat… WTH?! Really? That’s just rude… ‘True, but rude, AND funny! Hey kids, they’re just jokes. If you don’t like ‘em, don’t read my sh*t and move along, simple. Okay, okay… ‘My apologies, I digress. The service was schizophrenic to say the least, from a few, very nice & helpful employees to the majority of workers not wanting to make eye contact or offer any help. I’m just a hungry patron, I’m not INS! I just want a burrito… ‘And a torta… ‘And can I get a Mexican Coke with that?(Did I mention fat Hawaiians… ‘Good, just checking.) I ordered: * Al Pastor Burrito(4 Stars) — Good flavor; small meat portions * Barbacoa Torta(5 Stars) — Good flavor; great meat portions * Coke: Hecho en Mexico w/real cane sugar(5 Stars) — The real deal! * With marinated jalapeños & red chili salsa on the side. Photo — Good sh*t! My «to-try» list: * Menudo * Pezole * Barbacoa Burrito I’ll definitely be making my way back to Tula Market! ‘And thank you for playing! ‘Make it Great! — Big Ahhh’HOLA! Food: 4+ Ambiance: 3 Service: 4 Value: 3
