I wish I could give them zero stars… or even negative stars… DON’T SHOPHERE! I went into Oxford Time /Fancy Fakes to purchase a watch for my fiancé for Christmas. I purchased the watch for almost $ 200 even though I knew I could have found the same watch for cheaper elsewhere, but supporting small business is my area is important to me. I requested a few links to be taken out so that the watch would be the right size. The employee took OVER A HALFHOUR to remove a few links, which anyone would agree with me is ridiculous. When I got home, I noticed the watch had nicks everywhere from the employee removing the links. The next day I called during normal business hours only to get the answering machine. After waiting and waiting for my message to be returned, I decided to go in, only to find the employee on the phone. She quickly got off the phone leading me to believe that she was on a personal call. I asked for the links to be replaced back on December 12th. Over the course of 3 months, I have repeatedly called to check the status on the links to be delivered. I was told they were on their way… In the beginning of March, nearly three months later… I talked to a different employee who has shown to be nothing but rude. I called and asked again if the links have arrived. He demanded the model number on the back of the watch. When I explained that I didn’t have the watch on me, he suggusted that I should call back when I had it, and that he couldn’t help me unless I had the model number. HELLO? I already ordered the links?! I offered to come in and talk to him in person. I think he didn’t want to see me, because all of a sudden: he found my paper work. He contacted me a week later, and said he ordered the links and that they were in. This makes me assume that the links were never ordered in the first place when I was told THREEDIFFERENTTIMES that they were ordered… BADBUSINESS! I went in praying this would be the last time I’d see this store… and the links were WRONG! He said the watch had to be sent into Fossil to have the band replaced. I was so fed up, I told the employee that I’d like to return the watch on the grounds that this problem has been unresolved for over three months because of terrible employees and horrid customer service. He said that it was my fault, and that the watch should have never been worn, and because it was worn, he couldn’t return or exchange it. I WASNEVERTOLDTONOTHAVETHEWATCHWORN, AND I WASNEVERTOLDTHEWATCHCOULDHAVEBEENEXCHANGEDINTHEBEGINNING! I was told that the watch would be gone for 10 days… I went in ten days later on March 12th, and the same employee gave me a dirty look and asked«Weren’t you just here?» Needless to say the watch was not ready to be picked up, I wasn’t surprised to pick up the watch on the 22nd: 20 days and twice as long as he said it would take! …and nearly 4 months after the purchase date! This establishment is a joke. When I handed the watch over to be sent out to fossil, he handed me a business card and said«We’re moving in a few months, and we wanted you to have our new information.» What a smug move… why the hell would I want anything to do with them after this nightmare is over?! PLEASE, PLEASEDON’T SHOPHERE!
