The atmosphere was very nice. The spinach and artichoke with pita chips were good the salad was good as well. The lobster bisque was salty to me. The New York strip and shrimp is where the real problem was. The shrimp were salty and the steak was medium well but it was so burnt on the top and bottom that I couldn’t eat it. The waiter was very nice. He asked me several times if I wanted something else. He explained that because the steaks are so thick it’s hard to get them medium well without burning them. He ended up taking my food off. I didn’t ask for that so I was surprised that he did that. That was my cheat meal so I’m kinda said that it wasn’t good

I thought the food was great. I had some seafood linguine in a slightly spicy tomato sauce. Not sure of the name. Pasta was delicious, seafood tasted fresh and it was priced as expected. My husband had crab cakes on a salad, he enjoyed it. The wine we had was good too. There were many selections of bar drinks. I wish they had more non pasta dishes. But overall we were happy. The only thing, bathrooms were very dirty and too small for the place.

Very good, everything was fantastic. Service was excellent. The hostess went out of her way to take care of us. The food that was served at our table and from what we saw at others, was very well presented. Had the grilled calamari and the caprese salad. Wonderful. would definitely recommend to others.(might want to consider a reservation)

Had such a great time here! The service was fabulous. They offered to hold our bags that we walked in with(day of shopping) and our waitress Kara was hysterical and fun! FOOD: The vodka gnocchi was great with a little kick. The crab cakes were okay; they had a strange aftertaste. The shrimp Diablo had a nice heat. DRINK: The Bloody Mary was awesome. Mint Martinis were also very tasty! Overall, very nice time! A bit overpriced but it is a «tourist» town. It’s to be expected.

It’s too bad Unilocal does not allow zero stars because that is what I would give this establishment! Food is decent but service is absolutely horrible. We were there on an evening that was not busy, yet our waitress appeared to be high and couldn’t even muster up a water or drink refill. We had to go to the bar to even get soda refills! When we called her out on it, she blamed that she had«too many tables,» yet when looking around we only saw a couple more tables. The rest of the night kept getting worse and she got ruder and ruder. At one point, she was downright nasty. Beware of this place and their help!

This place was amazing. I had the most tender prime rib I’ve ever had. The service was impeccable, our server(Tiara)was wonderful. I had the Saturday night special which was the Queen cut prime rib! We will definitely be back here our next time in Lake Geneva. Keep up the good work staff and kitchen at this restaurant.

Hubby and I chose Tuscan after reading the reviews of several upscale restaurants in the area. We were in Lake Geneva from Chicago for our anniversary and wanted something nice, yet not ridiculously pricey. Tuscan was great! We made a reservation and were seated right away. We started with the calamari, which was perfect with a tasty marinara. It came out hot yet super fast! We each had soup; both the minestrone and the brocolli cheddar were fresh and flavorful. Hubby had a side salad with what he said was the best prime rib he’d ever had. It was so tender and seemed to melt in your mouth. Yum! I ordered the shrimp and baked brie which seemed strange to him, yet while the ribeye was calling me, I wanted something a bit lighter and smaller and it was perfect. I love cheese and the baked brie was delicious spread over the bread we had at the table. The shrimp was quite large, grilled and a perfect portion. We had a beer and a martini and our total bill was less than $ 70. We were also given dessert for our anniversary, which was a decadent layered chocolate torte cake. We were so full that we took it to go. The highlight of the evening was being served by Tierra(sp?) who coincidentally moved up here from Chicago and was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our conversation with her as well as other recommendations for where to go while we were in the Lake Geneva area. All in all it was a lovely evening and we would come here again.

We were here November 14, 2015. Off-season, but they were still busy. We had reservations and got seated right away. We were met with water right away, and then by our servers for our drink order. I ordered the cheese Tortellini Alfredo and added the shrimp. I’m attaching photos, but there were 4 shrimp and they were the largest I’ve ever received in a restaurant. Well worth the 6.00 up-charge. The tortellini was fresh, and melted in your mouth. The Alfredo sauce was very good with pieces of pancetta and sun-dried tomatoes. I loved it. My husband had the Farfalle pasta with sausage. He said it was very good. Both were large portions so we had plenty to take home to have for leftovers! For dessert we got Turtle Cheesecake. It was huge, and I think it was only like 6.50. It was super yummy. He had 2 cocktails, I had a glass of wine, we had dessert and our total bill was around 60.00. Not bad! We had a great experience here. I’ve seen some negative reviews, but it must be in what you order, and the particular staff on duty when you dine. The only negative I can really speak of was that we didn’t like sharing the oil/cheese dish. We felt each customer should have their own little plate to dip in. We had to scrape the mixture onto our own bread plates. Very messy! And THEY mix it so if you want more, you have to ask. They don’t keep the bottle on the table like some places. But in the end we would definitely hit this spot again the next time we vacation in Lake Geneva.

Did an unexpected visit for dinner after doing the nearby Canopy Tour. Came on a Saturday night at about 5:30. Very friendly greeters, quickly seated, fast service and the food was delicious. Top notch experience.

The restaurant was empty when we got there; and that was great. For a birthday dinner it was cool for me and my girlfriend to just eat and talk in peace. Anyway… I got the Grilled Strip and Shrimp & she got the Surf and Turf. The plates were loaded with food, meat cooked right, and the seafood taste great. The waiter was very knowledgable and polite. Considering we got steak and seafood the bill was high but for a «once in a while» meal; it was great. I would so go back next time I’m in town. You can’t listen to every review you see because some people are so picky about everything. Also we went at 4pm on a Tuesday afternoon. So the weekends I’m assuming would be busier. Ps…The three chocolate cake was awesome as well. I read a review earlier about don’t order it. But if you have a sweet tooth and love chocolate; I’d definitely recommend.

Me and my family went here for lunch. We felt discriminated in here. They were not even busy the time we get here. My server forgot my food and was rude when asked about it. Our waitress didn’t went to our table for a while, we have to flag someone to call our waitress. The people that came after us got their food first. I don’t think we will come back here again. Im surprise because of the reviews of this place, I’m expecting more from it. With the quality of service i will give this place a zero.

Had a lovely lunch there this week. We went back for dinner after walking out of The Baker House. They were understaffed and the bar was in chaos, not to mention the rude hostess, Nancy! Kudos to your food and service!!!

Their dirty martini, and Lake Geneva beech drinks are good. Highly recommend. Appetizer: salad and clam chowder soup are very mediocre. I feel like I can buy this at a grocery store. Entrée: we had pretty pricy food, surf and turn and shrimp diablo. Surf and turn steak was a bit too salty, but the lobster was good. Garlic potato was also mediocre and the broccoli was just too plain. Shrimps in Shrimp Diablo was good but the spaghetti, noodle itself was too thin and overcooked. It felt too soggy. The sauce was tasteless. I asked for extra sauce, but it didn’t too much. Dessert: chocolate pie was too salty and sweet… Don’t recommend. Overall, the service was good, but just come for drinks lol don’t spend too much money on this place…

Main room just to the right of the hostess looks nice but we were seated towards the back which was nondescript and I think our waitress may have forgot us tucked away back there as she never checked in other than to drop off food(no drink refills). We ordered fried calamari for an appetizer and although it was fresh(i.e. not frozen) the batter was very heavy and so greasy that it pooled on the plate. It also came with cocktail sauce which wasn’t bad but I expect a marinara type of sauce with fried calamari. Our main dishes were pretty good(shrimp diablo and cioppino pasta) and were large portions and good quality for the price. I was disappointed with the bread though as I wished I had a nice crusty bread to enjoy my sauce but instead their bread is thin and blah. In all, I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again. It’s on par with Olive Garden and those are on every corner!

I came here years ago when it was the Cactus Club and I didn’t like it then so haven’t been back until today when walking by it and noticed a lot of people meandering in. Glad we checked it out. The atmosphere is fine casual dining and the wait service is very attentive. I was never rushed and she popped by at opportune times. We shared the Rotolo d’mozzarella which was good but I felt the mozzarella portion was too big to the prosciutto. The ingredients were fresh though. They served a somewhat dry French style bread but with a very tasty balsamic vinaigrette and awesome olive oil with fresh grated Parmesan cheese. Next my husband enjoyed a wedge salad which he enjoyed and I had the house salad which was mediocre. He then had the traditional pizza which he devoured and I really liked the large jumbo shrimp that came with my shrimp Diablo. The capellini was done well with garlic and green onions and blended perfectly with the Diablo sauce. We finished our dinner with a raspberry tiramisu which tasted more like a cheesecake with raspberry sauce.

After walking all day, we were hungry so we decided to Unilocal one of the best spots to eat. That’s how we found this place. I ordered the NY strip which came with mashed potatoes, giant shrimp, broccoli and a salad. Wow! It was a game changer and one that I will remember. The décor inside was very nice but we wanted to sit in the sidewalk patio to absorb as much of the day as we could. If I ever have a chance to go back, I’ll definitely eat here!

Great and many gluten free options! Couldn’t decide… Our server was very friendly and timely. I had the barbecue chicken pizza — haven’t had this since I went gf! Very tasty — although I just ate the topping off(like I did pre gf), with parm steak fries and the prosciutto appetizer. My husband liked his fish. The gf homemade strawberry cheesecake was wonderful — I over ate, which I rarely do.

Stopped in here on a Tuesday night about 8pm. Since it was a bit later and we wanted fast-attentive service, we sat at the bar. There were a few hightop tables with people and an unusual mix of couples at the bar — I couldn’t tell if they were on first dates or if it was an illicit tryst. We ignored everyone else and waited patiently for the bartender to come take our drink order. Most of the reason for my 2-star review is that whoever scheduled only one bartender to work that night should be fired. The poor girl was making drinks for the entire restaurant, plus trying to take care of the bar. She tried to get some of the other young worker girls to help, but they were clueless in retrieving things behind the bar — nothing like asking a 17 year old to find the Simi Chardonnay and pour a glass«which one is a chardonnay?» «what size glass does it go in?» It’s not that I can’t be patient, but my coworker and I both agreed that 1) the one and only bartender wasn’t that good at juggling things and 2) she was being asked to do too much by herself. It took forever for her to take our drink orders, our food orders, and then followup with us. Our food was unremarkable to borderline bad. I asked that they add mozzarella to my small salad that came with my meal. Out came my salad with a SLICE of mozzarella on the side — not quite what I was expecting(which was shredded). Normally not a big deal to ask the server to have the kitchen fix it, but based on the above comments about staffing, I was too hungry to not eat it as is. My entrée choice was veal piccata. The veal was thick — not pounded thin — which meant that the middle part was undercooked. I ate around the edges and I left both centers of the veal cut because I wasn’t going to try my luck with undercooked veal. The veal was supposed to be served with pasta(per the menu); mine came with a scoop of mashed potatoes? These were lukewarm and the taste/consistency of brick mortar. Some of these things might seem trivial — I really don’t like to complain or be mean. I know that this was probably just my experience, and if I went back it would likely be better. Let’s just say that if I am in the area again, I’ll try another place.
