Juicin Jar has always been a great place to go every time my family visits the area. However, our last experience there was far from acceptable. I went to treat my younger brother for one of their smoothies and the lady checking me out insisted that my card wouldn’t work with their system. The owner suggested that we used the atm but in my opinion I found that it was unfair for me to pay to use their atm(because all businesses get money from having an atm at their establishment) for a technical problem on their end. Because of this I left with my sibling and as we walked one of the co-owners, Daniel, called my younger brother and I f*ckers which of course I found extremely offensive. I knew I had money in my account so when we left I went through my transaction history of my card and saw that he had already charged me the money for the two smoothies. After going back and waiting about 20 minutes the owner had finally gotten everything straightened out and my young brother and I received our smoothies. Being part of a family business for my entire life, it was very disheartening how rude Daniel was to my family. I completely understood his want to make sure that he received payment for his product, but his profanity and rude behavior made our experience very upsetting. Customer service is very important to any small business and this experience made it very difficult to want to come and support this small business every summer. In short, it is a MUST to bring cash if you wish to visit Juicin’ Jar so this situation will not occur to anyone else.

I recently spent 4 days in Lake George and I hit up Juicin’ Jar every day. It was my first stop from the airport when I arrived and my last stop before my brother and I drove down to NYC. Juicin Jar is in a little outdoor mall right on Canada St. The sign is hard to see from the road, but walk around a bit; it’s worth finding. All of the fruits and veggies are fresh, leading to some of the best juice I’ve ever tasted. The owners are very sweet and happy to chat. They have local art on the walls and really seem to care about the community. I had to purchase one of their glass jars before my trip ended. If I return to Lake George, I’ll certainly be back for more juice.

My family and I went here everyday during our trip here in Lake George. Ok. Maybe we missed one day. Their smoothies and juices were always fresh and after a full day of activities — refreshing. What we liked the best was how easy it was to make substitutes. If you enjoy a friendly staff and an amazing juice or smoothie this is the place to go in Lake George.

Fresh, delicious combinations of smoothies and juices. Dairy and dairy-free options. Clean, bright and friendly staff that make excellent recommendations. Perfect pick me up after we hiked buck mountain. Definitely worth driving into lake George proper. Please note it is tucked inside a collection of shops off the main drag.
