Walking around the village we decided to stop to have a cup of coffee. I thought the coffee was alright. I got an espresso with it which wasn’t that bad either. I believe my girlfriend got a latte. Which wasn’t that bad either. Id give this place another try the next time I’m up in Lake George.

Made the mistake of planning on stopping in here real quick. With only two people in front of me and three employees(with a fourth in the back) working, it took over twenty minutes to get any service. While not exactly rude, the staff was not very pleasant either. I ordered a frappuchino and ordered a large(after the cashier asked me what size I wanted). All the employees then had to work together to make the drink because not one of them was proficient on any of the equipment. I was then handed a medium which looked like a nasty milkshake, not a frap. Upon questioning ordering a large and receiving a medium, I was now told that it only came in one size. The drink itself had the consistency of a a several hours old, half drank frappuchino and tasted nothing like it should. The couple in front of me said something to the cashier about their drinks not tasting right as well. I do not recommend this place at all and would gladly give it no stars if I could.

My experience at the Sticky Bun is pretty much the same experience I had at every other mom and pop local business in the downtown village area. My Husband and I wanted to grab a quick cup of coffee before having to deal with taking the kids to Funarama next door. We each ordered two shots of espresso. You can’t mess that up, right? After the barista handed it to me and I walked over to the condiment bar, I opened the lid and anticipated the beautiful aroma of espresso but no. Instead I got a whiff of god awful grossness. No joke, it smelled like a steaming hot cup of shit. I thought it was just me, but then my husband stole the words right out of my mouth by saying the same thing. Even though I should have just thrown it in the garbage immediately, morbid curiosity got the best of me and I took a sip. I dry heaved. I have no idea what made that espresso taste so awful, but my guess would be that it’s either years old or maybe it’s infused with poop. Whatever it was, it shouldn’t be used for human consumption. It could probably take paint off cars. All the pastries looked old and the store itself is outdated and could use a facelift/demolition. Unfortunately, this business is the same story as most of the businesses in downtown Lake George.

We felt ice cream was a little heavy for the weather, so we decided on smoothies, and saw this place had them. Smoothies… wrong. It says they’re smoothies but are so far from it. Its basically crushed ice and a flavored syrup. Such a disappointment for $ 4.50 each. And the service? I had to wait from him to come out of the back, and he didn’t make any effort to be friendly.

I understand we are not here during prime season(end of sept) but how could you possibly serve sticky buns that are as stale as a rock? No joke– stale. And the coffee was like colored water that I threw it away and ended up getting coffee elsewhere–

This is a cute shop right across the street from the lake. We usually stop here at night for a quick cup of joe and maybe a dessert. The place is a normal lake george style mom and pop place. The cinnamon buns are great, and super sweet. They always have fresh coffee. Great place to grab some coffee and then head across the street to enjoy the fireworks.

An assortment of pastries/cakes and coffees. An iced coffee, available in Hazelnut and French Vanilla flavors will bring you down $ 2.10. Decent place to relax with chairs and tables inside and outside on the porch.
