Lange Veterinary Center

We’re visiting Lake Havasu when our Lab Sophie stopped eating and became lethargic on Friday. They got her in that day, which two other vets I called prior couldn’t do, and we were able to meet with Dr. Lange. She was professional, kind and caring, as was the staff. I would highly recommend them.

We had a great experience here. Our Lab hurt herself on our way to our house in Havasu and we needed to get in quickly as she was in a lot of pain. They were able to see us within an hour and a half of calling. They took x-​rays and performed blood work all while we waited. The Vet prescribed meds that had our dog back up and walking around within 24 hours. They even called the next morning after our visit to do a follow-​up. The staff was pleasant and easy to work with. We would highly recommend them.

On Thursday around 2:00 my Chinchilla, Maxie, grew ill and was acting lethargic during his exercise time. I called because I was worried about the behavior and there are only two vets that take exotic animals (and I tried both). Lange would not get him in even though I told them I thought it was an emergency. They said I would have to wait until 3:30 pm the following day or come back after hours for an emergency visit. They then told me the emergency visit was $ 150.00 and let me go. I watched my little guy all night and was sick with worry. At around 11 pm my little guy took a turn for the worse and began rolling onto his side. I called Lange’s office because I knew this was a life or death situation and he needed to get in. They told me the office visit would be $ 300.00 to start but I would have to pay up front and they would want me to pay before I left for the tests. I asked them if they could take anything after the $ 300.00 which I had on me the following morning when my fiancé got paid. They said no and would not help. Then when Keith called me back he told me «sorry, I can’t help you he’ll have to wait until tomorrow» and the way he said it was very cold and heartless. I was crying and emphasized that he would not make it if he had to wait. I would have all of the money the following morning and had the $ 300.00 right now, They would not help him even though he was sick and dying. My little guy passed away in my arms while I was begging Lange and Novak to help me. They do not care about animals only money and I get that they are a business but they were getting most of the money now and the rest by 10:00 the following morning. They are heartless and Keith was very cold. They are not compassionate, and I want to emphasize again that they do not care about animals. I would like to say that this is the only bad experience I have had with them but it is not, they were terrible with my mother’s animals as well. I pray they do not have to feel the pain of watching their loved one dies while someone who can help stands by and lets it happen because they can’t wait a few hours for money. Its sad that they cared so little about an animal’s life and suffering that only money mattered when they are supposed to be healers and help. If you love your animals I would find another vet else where. unfortunately I only had two choices to chose from for exotic animals because my dogs do not get their care from these vets.

We need to comment on the staff of this vets office. We had the saddest duty of a dog owner last month while on vacation in Parker. Our 15 yr old golden, Lucy, let us know she was ready to go to the dog park in heaven. This was one of the most emotional and saddest days for both my husband and myself… There are no vets in Parker and so we called all of the offices in Havasu City. All said they could not take us in for several days but Lange told us although they were very busy they would take us in. Everyone there was just so amazing. They even wanted our Lucy to have a dish of Sees candies and chocolate chips cookies and potatoes chips. Her body couldn’t move on the table but she was able to lift her head to scarfed down the treats that she has never had ever before. It made her passing much easier for us to deal with and the compassion of the entire staff was outstanding.

Practice is clean and well run. Dr Lange is very professional and kind. I appreciated that the tech and vet got down on the floor with my dog. So much nicer for Abby.

These people are rude and nit compassionate to people who are losing a dying animal. Think twice about taking your pet here.

Love the staff. Our dog was let out of RV and roamed the desert for 2 days before he was found. The staff got us in right away and took care of us. Better than our vet in California.

Visiting from out of town when one of our dogs became ill. Called and was able to get an appt. right away. Right after checking in a couple of emergency calls came in and a couple of other unforeseen things happened. Felt that I was still taken care of on a very timely basis though they kept apologizing for the delay. While waiting for results in the lobby everyone was asked if they needed water or soda several times. Kept abreast of progress continually. Dr. was fantastic in how she approached and explained everything. We are now on our way to a great recovery. Highly recommend using them.

We were on vacation and our 6 month old puppy was bitten on the nose by another dog. We were able to get in right away to Lange Veterinary Center. Dr. Flakes and the entire staff is fantastic and very friendly! They even called us the next day to make sure our puppy was doing well. We highly recommend them! WIsh we had them where we live :)
