Gatwyns II

Enjoyed take out yesterday. Was build a burger Monday and it was a wonderful burger! My son always enjoys the chicken fingers and fries. Their salads are always fresh and taste great.

I love Gats, they have a wide variety menu and the food and service is fantastic. I have never had a bad experience and it is family friendly for meals.

Standard American bar fare. Have had the Wrecking Ball burger (2 grilled cheese sandwiches for buns… take your cholesterol pills before you have this and pack a defibrillator) which was excellent as well as the wings. They have excellent specials through out the week and for the various sporting events.

Nice meal here tonight. Had the HUGE Italian chef salad. Awesome — large enough for tomorrow’s lumch. Started with the fried calimarri and chicken wings, very tasty. Alway enjoy dining here and look forward to returning. Next time, I’ll try the roast beef dejour.

Stopped by for the Thursday steak special. A 16oz ribeye served on garlic-​buttered toast points. It comes with a choice of baked, mashed or french fried potatoes and topped with onion rings. Also comes with bread and a house salad with killer horseradish dressing. At an unbeatable price of $ 14, you can’t go wrong. My friend’s wife got the Gatwyns salad. It came in a giant bowl and they accommodated some requested changes.
The steak is on the regular menu at $ 19 any other day (still a great price). The whole menu looks good so we’ll be sure to stop up and check out some other items. The tap beer list is pretty impressive for the brew-​connoisseurs and they also have $ 2.00 specials on domestics.

Love the «bowls of salad». Beer is always cold and the service is great. A true neighborhood bar/​restaurant!

Would never have stopped in here if I wasn’t with friends of mine who have stopped in before. The curb appeal really isn’t great and would easily be overlooked. The interior décor and setup was pretty standard «dive bar» or local hang out. Not fancy at all. We had just come back from Mountain Creek so we were bumming it, and it was just fine for this bar/​restaurant. It is one of the reasons why we stopped here.
The food was good, everyone liked their food. Just a Couple notes and observations.
The wings we ordered were good but seemed awfully small.
The service was very friendly and nice. However once it got slightly busy we had a hard time grabbing our server for the check.
Beer selection was average at best.
Overall our experience was good, and we would return.

I like Gatwyns. I have been here a few times & always had a good meal here.
Today I had the Gatwyns II mega burger. It consisted of a ½ pound patty topped with Taylor ham, cheese, mushrooms & sautéed onions. It was AWESOME. Great choice.
Next up the stromboli. This is a huge italian delight! It is delicious and plan on taking at least half of it home!
The beer selection is decent, all the standards.
All & all I would totally recommend Gatwyns II for a fun place to grab a bite and a few drinks with family or friends!

I don’t understand all the positive reviews. Staff is ridiculously rude. Food is mediocre. Some days it’s great while others it’s gross. You never quite know how it will turn out.

Have been here a couple times in the past (if the band, Scoot on Down is playing here — YOU MUST GO! Excellent band). The food is pretty decent — it’s typical bar/​pub food, but so far everything we’ve eaten has been very good. The beer selection is ‘eh’- we like our craft beers, but they have very little selection (pretty much = none). but it is a bar, so order a drink if that’s the case. We were here over the weekend and had lunch — friend ordered the French onion soup, which looked very cheesy and the broth had the right amount of beefy darkness to it (she said it was very good). I ordered the special soup, garlic tortellini. It was good but a little bland — I don’t normally add salt, but this needed a little. It was pretty garlic-​y, but that’s about it. there is wilted spinach in it as well — our other friend doesn’t care for spinach, so he picked most of his out and he had quite a bit more that I did. We also ordered hot wings and boneless garlic wings for the table. The hot wings were pretty spicy and the garlic wings had a decent garlic flavor to them. My hubby ordered the messy turkey wrap (turkey, cole slaw, Russian dressing, bacon inside a flour wrap). I took a couple bites — it was very good, but I think after a few bites, I would have enough by then. it came with a choice of fries/​onion rings — he ordered curly fries which were good (you can’t really screw up curly fries! LOL). our other friend ordered the plain pizza, but I was pretty full by that time, so I didn’t have any, but everybody else like the pizza. They have specials on the board and serve everything from sandwiches to pizza to entrée-​styled meals. The prices are average and the bar is a local bar, so nothing fancy — yes, it could use some renovating, but on a Saturday afternoon, with Scoot playing, and a holiday ugly sweater contest, the place was PACKED. So far, every time we’ve gone there, it’s packed. there’s a long bar with seating for about 20 people and tables throughout the dining room — which can probably seat about 60. it’s a little crowded, but hey, strangers are just friends you haven’t met yet, right?!

We mostly get takeout pizza from here. The inside is a little divey but the food is actually quite good. It is without question the best pizza in town. I’ve also had the wings and a few sides. I’ve seen families in at dinner time and while as I said it’s divey it’s not intimidating or dirty.

Avoided this place in the past. Not anymore. They have a good menu and always seem to have great specials. The food seems much improved and fresh. Been back four times and the food has been v. good. Good prices too. I had the fish tacos (which I have never had before) and they were great. Grilled flounder with chipotle on a soft taco. She had the grilled steak salad. Both meals had great flavor. $ 2 pints. Will definitely be back. Plenty of TVs for NHL playoffs too. This place is much improved…

Worst beer selection I’ve seen. Food was passable. But I’d go there again cause the company was great.
