Boulder Ridge Country Club

Not all Country Clubs are created equal – if you have an event at Boulder, you will understand exactly what I mean.

We had our wedding there on July 10^th and choosing Boulder was the best decision we made. No matter where you fall on the bride spectrum (from laid back to bridezilla) Janet Logan and her team will make sure you have exactly what you want for the big day.

Just to put things in perspective on how easy and stress free working with Janet & Boulder was — the 3 days leading up to the wedding I spent on the golf course and at the pool. Everyone I spoke to couldn’t believe I was relaxing vs. running around and getting things ready. I had the utmost confidence in Janet and her team and it was well placed since the wedding was phenomenal.

1) Planning — I changed my mind on things several times throughout the process and had numerous special requests. Janet is a consummate professional and Boulder was more than accommodating. Janet’s follow up and response times were excellent both on the phone and via email.
2) Room set up — My MOH & I had described how we wanted the room set up in bits and pieces in the months leading up to the wedding. We dropped off everything 2 days before and Janet was taking notes on which pieces went on what table, etc… (I am embarrassed to say I thought there was no way Janet and team were going to keep track of setting up the items. I also trusted that if it wasn’t what I wanted it would still look nice because it’s Boulder). The morning of the wedding we emailed Janet some pictures from Pinterest of what we had in mind. I walked into club on Friday afternoon and I was stunned. Everything was PERFECT.
3) Reception — The banquet staff at Boulder is amazing. Friendly doesn’t begin to describe them and the service was impeccable. From clearing tables, to the bartenders making drinks – our guests wanted for nothing.
4) Food — It’s not a secret that Boulder has great food. However, I cannot remember a single wedding I’ve attended and recalled the food. My guests just raved about the food. The compliments I received on the appetizers, Prime Rib, Chicken Picatta, & late night nacho bar were abundant.
5) Pictures — All golf courses are going to be a nice background for photos. Boulder is no exception. However, everything there is picturesque from the club house to the ponds and everywhere in between.
I also need to give a big thanks to Jim. Jim was also super accommodating and understanding of my requests, and I couldn’t be more appreciative. Ricardo also did an outstanding job, and truly, all of the banquet staff.
You will find less expensive places and more expensive places than Boulder for your big event. You will NOT find a better place.

The venue, food, drinks were superb. Most of our guests complimented me and my husband George for holding one of the best weddings they attended. The location is beautiful, VERY clean, organized, logical layout. The staff, especially Janet & Ricardo, were wonderful. They helped guide us through the wedding process from begging to end. A smooth, professional, worry free event.

My sister and her husband got married at Boulder Ridge in August. Everything was tip top!
Janet, the event coordinator, was a joy to work with. I was only involved in the very last bit of the whole process — the rehearsal and wedding itself. I could tell even in that short time that Janet absolutely prides herself on a job well done, and proper execution is something that is very important to her.
The venue itself is beautiful, the banquet room overlooks the golf course and there isn’t a single window that has a «bad» view (i.e., the parking lot.) The outdoor upstairs patio was a great place for the cocktail hour and for guests to sneak away to catch a breath of fresh air.
The bride’s room was a little bit small and stuffy, but it’s not meant for really more than one person at a time, which is fine. I like that the bridal party had a secure room to keep purses, phones, a change of shoes, etc.
The food, was FANTASTIC. My sister and her husband chose chicken picatta as their entrée, to be honest, I don’t remember the potato or vegetable, but the chicken itself, for feeding nearly 100 people, was not dried out, came HOT, and was a LARGE, flavorful portion.
Janet was present for a majority of the evening, making sure things went the way they were supposed to. All of the staff at Boulder Ridge was friendly, personable, and eager to help.

Had my Wedding and Reception there recently and it was unbelievable! The food was top notch and service i impeccable. Janet Logan and Staff were very accommodating. We had a Guest with a nut allergy to a guest who was a vegetarian and they took careful preparation to oblige their needs. Janet should be complemented on her patience with myself and future wife, as we were taken step by step through the process on arranging a great wedding reception. My husband and I wanted a quality wedding at an affordable cost and we got more than we expected at Boulder Ridge Country Club. Back in October 13, 2013, we had an afternoon wedding ceremony on their beautiful veranda that overlooks the golf course, pond, and neighboring homes – and the view and feel were just breathtaking. It really contributed to the romantic feel I wanted our wedding to have. We didn’t hire a wedding coordinator, but honestly, I didn’t need one because Janet Logan, the catering director, steered me in the right direction. During the early stages of wedding planning she gave me great suggestions and provided ideas that I would’ve never known to consider. What topped it off for me was the fact that she was THERE, available, active, and engaged the entire time. She quickly problem solved when the DJ I contracted screwed up our wedding ceremony music, and then she took it upon herself to fix my bridal gown train as I entered the aisle with my dad (it’s the small things that count!). But the best thing about Boulder Ridge is that they’re not only a beautiful venue but they offer truly professional, attentive, and caring service. My husband and I were FLOORED during the reception! We sat back enjoying our delicious Chicken Oscar, and saw how attentive the wait staff were. We go out A LOT and we’ve never been this pleased with the service. The waitstaff, the bartender, and the catering manager were all great at what they do. I was happy, my husband was happy, and most of all our guests were happy. Matter of fact, they were so happy that it made their 80 minute drive to the venue worthwhile (we all live in Chicago).
I truly recommend this venue and I’m very thankful for all that they did for us. I know that it’s what they get paid to do, but many places get paid to offer the same services and they fall severely short of being quality service providers.
By the way, 8 months later our friends are still talking about the yummy drinks the bartender made. Most of us ended up drinking Tequila Sunrises the entire reception.

My husband and I couldn’t be happier with our choice in a wedding venue. We had our wedding and reception at Boulder Ridge June 9, 2013. From the start to finish, the details were handled with ease. Janet Logan did such an excellent job, we have recommended her, and the staff of Boulder Ridge to everyone we know.
Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the venue was (inside and out), and also say how much they loved the food and service. Janet literally handled every detail, we didn’t have to worry about one thing during the planning process, and the day of the wedding went off without a hitch. Janet truly does her job well, and knows how to deliver. She was quick to reply to all of our questions, and never flinched! Her attitude is stellar. Great to work with.
Everything was as perfect and memorable as we hoped it would be! We would definitely consider booking this venue for another event, like a baby shower, or anniversary party.
If you’re considering Boulder Ridge for your wedding, you won’t be disappointed. I have read some reviews by other couples about how pricey this venue is, but we saved a lot by having our wedding on a Sunday afternoon!!! If you aren’t set on a Saturday evening wedding, go for a Sunday afternoon. Same great venue and staff, for a lot less. It’s a venue that will impress your friends and family — but most importantly, you’ll feel like a King and Queen on your special day!
We had such a good time at Boulder Ridge, we didn’t want it to end! We kept saying to each other how absolutely beautiful it was. We’d do it again in a heartbeat :)
Great Venue — Great Staff — Great Food — Great Memories — Perfect choice.

Beautiful venue and good food, but the bartenders left a lot to be desired. We came here for an event and a group of us ladies discovered that the chocolate martinis were fantastic. After the first one we ordered, every subsequent order got us «the look» from at least two of the bartenders. My suggestion – if you don’t want to make it, don’t have it on the menu, and if it is on the menu, then make it without the attitude.
Also, during the meal many of the water glasses at our tables were empty half way through the meal and were never refilled.

Candlelight dinner did not disappoint. Especially loved the roasted hazelnut-​crusted pork tenderloin over porcini mushroom polenta. Chef Todd is truly amazing. Thank you to this wonderful club!

Boulder Ridge is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. Janet Logan and her staff are just wonderful, always quick to respond to any communication. The location is just so beautiful that you barely need any flowers, we kept it very minimal, and the room is huge. The total price per person might seem like a lot, but she offers almost every little detail possible. We didn’t have to worry about table cards, votives, the wedding cake, and much more. She makes planning a wedding seamless.
The cake business they work with, Cakes by Dea, is also amazing. Our photographer even said to us «I have never seen people be so happy with wedding cake before!» And the food, omg the food, everything is just amazing – nothing was dry, nothing was cold, and everybody left with a full belly. I highly recommend the Tomato Basil soup and the Spinach Artichoke Dip!!!
FYI – Boulder books very quickly, so if you want to get married during wedding season you better book a year and a half out. We got married June 15, 2012 and we booked in April 2011 (and there were only 2 or 3 days left in June).
We also had our ceremony here because its a gorgeous venue. You can chose from either the terrace above or the patio that faces the golf course. We picked the patio because of the spectacular view. Once again, Janet makes everything easy for you (has the altar, rents chairs, etc) and you don’t have to worry about a thing.

I attended a destination wedding here the second week in October and it really exceeded my expectations. By this time in my life I’ve been to my share of weddings, and not all enjoyable. This was an exception. I realize that some of this had to do with the wishes of the bride and groom however the food was really good. Yes, it’s all true… good wedding food. The service was great and all of the servers were very personable. Beautiful Fall wedding spot. We were very lucky to have the foliage almost near peak.

Boulder Ridge exceeded our expectations beyond belief with their first class service, beautiful venue and fantastic food! Our guests raved about the delicious food and beautiful setting overlooking Boulder Ridge Golf Course. Catering Director Janet Logan and her staff truly are the best in the business. She executed every vision we had with detail and ease from beautiful room set-​up to the best wedding food we’ve ever had. Truly a venue to impress your guests!
